I contacted several local Dryer Vent companies looking for the best deal I could. The Service Tech was polite and courteous. He seemed to know what he was doing. My issue began, when he was looking at the length of the pipe. They had quoted me upto 15 foot $119. Now my laundry room is located on the second floor, back of the house, and the pipe goes straight up. I want to know how someone could tell me it was over 15 foot, when the room is only 8 foot and the roof is sloping there? There is no way it is another seven foot. To make things more interesting, I kept looking at the length of the rooter he put up there and there is no way the line was 15 foot, and the brushes on the end of the rooter were largely missing. So I am confused how one cleans a pipe missing most of the brushes? I thought at one point he was going to change the brushes, but he did not. Once he was done, he came down and he told me it was going to be $149 plus tax since the pipe was longer than 15 foot. I told him there is no way and that his company should have disclosed this before the work had been done. The total ended up being $161.29, which is about $40 more than I was expecting. I feel like this is bait and switch to be honest. I did contact their office and let them know I was unhappy with the service in relation to the charges. I thought the Tech was good, I just did not like charges. If you are going to change price, then you disclose this. I would prolly would have cancelled the service had I known this was going to happen. I did let them know, I would be doing this review. Not as a threat, but as a reminder that I am fair in my reviews, but you must disclose changes in agreed charges and you must actually measure something if you plan on charging a fee per foot. I was told $59.99 to check and clean air ducs and dyer duc. The guys came from Texas force , i thought it was quick air. They look at the A/C unit and said no needed for cleaning the air ducts cause its clean , so he up sold me a coil cleaning cause said it has mold For $199 all they did is spray some stuff on the coils it foam up and made house smell a little better. He did'nt bothered to check all the vents in house which i was told from there telemarketers marketing it will be check and clean with special vaccums they have the best technology for cleaning. So by saying the air ducs are clean without checking all of them just one up stairs he said it was ok. The $59.99 wasnt charge to me, so i ask are you going to check the dryer duc he replied thats $20 bucks to clean which he did, but if i hadnt mentioned it he wouldn't, the service was quick about 30mins. but what suck about it everything i paid $199 to spray foam agent to a/c coils which its ripoff thats not cleaning. And what really sucks is the dirty lint and attic insulation was in my carpet and landry room i had to clean it up. And no invoice was made to me. Call quick air was told they will email me my invoice! nothing Yet! I dont know but i think its a ripoff it should $59.99 for just spraying some agent on the coils! Instead off $229.00 . I contacted Quick Air Services via Home Advisor to clean my dryer vent. While they did the job they charged more than quoted for a 20 foot long vent to be cleaned. Quoted $149 charged $227. When I called for an explanation they stated my dryer vent was longer than 20 feet, that it was actually 23 feet and they charge $10 per foot over the 20 feet. When I stated the math doesn't add up she kept trying to explain why. I asked for a detailed receipt to be emailed which I still have not received. Would not recommend this company to anyone After my review I received a call and the detailed receipt which I asked for. They also offered and delivered a $30 refund. Still over priced in my opinion. I have pros and cons regarding my phone interactions and the service I received. First of all, I have to say, I made multiple phone calls regarding this companies services. I asked plenty of questions, more than once, to different people and on different days. I requested air duct cleaning and carpet cleaning and asked if there would be "hidden charges". I explained to Shayna, on two different days that I needed services on an old house, that probably never had the AC unit cleaned and definitely has not had the carpet cleaned in years, if at all. I asked her multiple times if the quote she was giving me had any hidden fees, if I should expect to pay more than what she was quoting me. She told me that what she is quoting would be about the average I would pay and what most others pay. Now, I know all companies are out to make a buck, but I felt that with the point-blank questions I was asking, I could at least get the higher end of what I might be charged. She consistently told me I would get the $129 special for my AC unit and $35 a room for the carpet cleaning. I told her my living room was larger than most, her words were "most people feel their living room is large, but you would be surprised at how much people overestimate their living rooms". Shayna was fantastic, her customer service skills were incredible and I would not hesitate to call and speak with her in the future. However, upon the technician getting to my house and seeing what he needs to do, he quoted me over triple what I had been quoted by two different other people over the phone. Tomer was very knowledgeable in what he was doing, and he was quite honest with me and the products he was using. He added a $50 fee to actually remove stains, which I was not told was NOT a part of the carpet cleaning package. You would think, when people want their carpets cleaned, they don't want it just sanitized, they want the stains removed. (?????) Stupid me, though! Once he was finished, it didn't even look like the carpet had ever been touched, with the exception of it being wet. I was so disappointed in the service, and the extra $50 charged that should've removed all the 'walking' stains. Upon inspecting our AC unit, which I informed the company was old and probably never cleaned, they insisted it would just be $129. To my surprise, I had to shell out $450. If I would have known that, I would have gone with Stanley steamer or Coit, which also charge $450 for everything, no hidden fees. I give this company a three, because the customer service was great, however the actual services (or costs of) and products used, were not. I am having to take on the responsibility of moving my sick parents out of that house into a new one, get it cleaned so my family can move into it and being on the tightest of budgets, I hoped going with a local company, I would get less expensive prices than using a brand-name company. I hope quick air services sees this review, because I want them to know that Shayna and Tomer were really great. However, the products you use do not work on carpets and the hidden fees are shameful. I asked multiple times, too many times, what is the max I could be charged, all I ever heard was $129. If your company were honest with me, I might consider using you on the house I am moving out of. But unfortunately, you are not trustworthy. Also, I have to say, none of his payment options worked. So he had to take pictures of my credit card and drivers license. I am very unhappy with that, he should have had his credit card machine charged, or any other option available to me other than me having to write a check. Who carries checks these days? I was scheduled to have air duct cleaning for $59.95 which included dryer vent cleaning and inspection of act unit. Tomer arrived 45 minutes early and stayed about 45 minutes. I was told that air ducts could not be cleaned because they were too old and would tear up. He said there was mold around the system and he could treat it for $400.00, the system needed to be replaced which would cost $4500.00 plus $1200.00 to replace ducts. I explained that I could not afford either option and he agreed to treat mold issue for $320.00. He sprayed something in the attic which I could smell but have no idea what he did. I paid $320.00 for something but I don't know what. After he left, I realized I did not get an invoice for the work performed. I immediately called him but did not get an answer. Services were provided on 8/12/2016, I have been calling Quick Air Services who scheduled appointment in order to get copy of invoice. When I first started Calling Quick Air Services on 8/15/2016, they answered and agreed to send email copy of invoice. I sent an email to Tomer on 8/13/2016, to Quick Air Services on 8/17/2016 and to both on 8/30/2016 but got no response from either. After calling amostly daily, someone would answer the phone and then hang up. I called Tomer again on September 1, 2016 left message and he returned call stating someone would call within the hour to get information to send copy of email. I am still waiting. read more
