Dr. Thai is a five star doctor all the way. Met him today after having a bad experience with a couple of Vegas doctors .I literally have been to Orthopedics that have shot trigger injections in the wrong places. Internal Medicine doctors that kept scheduling useless appointments even though they couldn't diagnose my problem. Why would I keep going to see those doctors? God answered my prayers by sending me to dr Thai. This doctor fit me in right away. No waiting months or weeks to try to get an appointment. Now that's service for you. The front desk staff is wonderful. She's like talking to an old friend. She's absolutely wonderful at her job and assured me that the doctor would be with me shortly after I arrived Overall, go see the doctor if you need a great physician. Honestly, I've been getting really frustrated with these Vegas doctors and have been seriously considering moving back to California because of it. Dr. Thai has restored my faith in the medical profession here in Vegas read more

Great service and care would recommend for anyone wanting to get their health in check. He is a great doctor!

Dr Thai has been my primary care doctor for many years. He is wonderful and so is Nancy his nurse. They are efficient and knowledgeable and caring. I would not change if asked to. read more

Best Private Practice Primary Care Doctor in Las Vegas After extensive research, I found that he is the best private practice primary care doctor in Las Vegas. He is a graduate of the University of California - San Diego which according to: www.collegeconsensus.com is the 18th best medical school in the country. Most of my care has been at the Cleveland Clinic which is the 2nd best in the world. However, I was seeking quality care, locally; so that I would not feel compelled to travel especially for urgent needs. I have had the privilege of having care with some of the best doctors in the world and am able to assess the quality of this practice. I called his office and spoke to Nancy to discuss getting established as one of his patients. I could not have encountered a more helpful and sweet person to help. I could tell that she really cares; her empathy and warmth radiates from our interactions. I feel so grateful to have this gem of a practice in our community. Called and tried to schedule for my husband and I. Same experience as another reviewer. Will not see us due to having a high-deductible plan. Person tells me over the phone, "I just want to be honest with you, people who have high-deductible plans don't pay, so we don't accept them as patients". I was absolutely speechless about this. Will be calling United Healthcare to report this business. I have an HSA supported by my company to compensate for the high deductible. I'm just fine paying for the care I need. This is the new normal I guess. "Do no harm... to the doctors paycheck" read more

Per NANCY new patient with United Health Care high deductible will NOT schedule as a new patient. WOW! I will be calling United Health Care and my employer to let them know this happening. Nancy stated people do not understand their co-pay with a high deductible and it causes problems. I will update after I speak to United Health Care and Employer. UnitedHealthcare NexusACO includes a tiered benefit plan designed to incentivize members to use accountable care organization (ACO) care providers or other Tier 1 care providers. I have seen Dr Thai for almost 2 years and he and his office staff (Nancy) are very professional and knowledgeable. You can ask them questions and they don't cut you off and you don't feel like you are rushed through the appointment. You also can get a "last minute appointment where they can squeeze you in etc. read more

Strong candidate for worst doctor of the year. Needs to learn bedside manner really bad. Demeaning, arrogant and pathetic service. (He has a policy of not providing office notes or filling out forms of ANY kind. Ok, he will send bills and prescribe tests, but nothing for the government, work, etc). Literally called the office over 50 times and was strong along for months when Dr Thai never had any intention of providing further assistance even though it was promised. read more

In two visits, I have found Dr. Thai to be attentive, caring, diligent, and professional. Also, both times they have been able to get me in fairly promptly. I'd definitely recommend him as a primary care physician. The copay was cash only, so if you are going to pay at that time, bring cash with you. read more

I went to see him the other week. I was first caught off guard that despite being a new patient, and being told to arrive 15 minutes early, there wasn't any paperwork to fill out. I was ushered right into the room where the doc asked me verbally if I had any medical issues or family history. Then he asked if I had high cholesterol and I said no (I have it tested quite often and I knew I didn't) he asked if I said no so quickly because I knew I didn't or if I just thought so. When I mentioned I knew because all my previous tests he said he didn't believe me. Then Instead of asking my medical history and then figuring out what medications I was taking, took my medications I brought with me, looked at them and started making assumptions of my medical history which I then had to correct. We did eventually talk about my medical history and family history. He then proceed to write a form for blood work. Asked if I had fasted that day. I said yes, kept pestering me about it and was insistent then even if I had coffee that the test would be ruined and he would be mad. I had not then he handed me my script and the lab paperwork and sent me on my way to get it done. Not sure why he was so insistent if he wasn't doing it that day but whatever. I felt rushed, talked over and overall the appointment felt condescending. I don't plan on going back. Perhaps my experience was an anomaly but a week later I still have a bad taste in my mouth. Pros: got you in early, got you out fast- great if you needed an appointment Cons: only takes cash or check, rushed, and felt talked down to read more

I've been seen by a few others recently upon returning to Las Vegas. After playing musical chairs I've determined that Dr Thai is the best in the Southwest. This is a no non-sense, very understanding, very thorough doctor. read more

Stay away. I went for a normal check up and the doctor is a complete jerk. A doctor is suppose to make you feel comforting but I didn't get that. Plus you're only allowed to pay in cash. 2nd time I went for a return and I was prescribed medication for lowering my cholesterol which could've been handle simply through better dieting. Now the meds is causing me stomach pain and I went off it. Very comforting to toss you pills to take and a simple diet would work better with my age. read more

He's a good Doctor, however he really needs to work on his personality its a turn off.

I've met so many doctors (arrogant, disinterested, prejudiced, fixated, preoccupied, rushed... choose all that apply) who made me avoid medical care that I must look back gratefully on that day when I chose Dr. Thai's name from my health insurance database because my husband needed to go to the doctor, and Dr. Thai was nearby. And even though Dr. Thai has since moved to Fort Apache - Yelp's entry needs updating - I'm still loyal. So, why is Dr. Thai's office so right for me? Nancy, who is usually in front when I come in, has a great smile and is always so friendly. Her conversation feels genuine, never artificial or forced, and she remembers everything I happen to mention to her. She treats me like a person, not another stack of paperwork to be processed. The waiting area is pleasant - cozy, quiet, and not too clinical. I don't like those waiting rooms where you spend the entire time staring at an awareness poster for a horrible disease, not that there's usually much of a wait at Dr. Thai's, especially if you have an appointment. Dr. Thai himself is very funny. I don't mean that he tells jokes, but he responds to my lightheartedness with more of the same, and he has plenty of personal examples on tap. I feel comfortable, like I'm being treated as an equal. Bedside manner is huge with me. The moment I feel underestimated is the moment I begin to question the doctor's abilities. A doctor doesn't have to be funny - terse is fine so long as the physician is respectful - but it doesn't hurt to have a doctor who makes me feel like we can talk about anything. I appreciate the way Dr. Thai listens to my input. If I say that XYZ is making me feel better, even though it's not logical, he takes that into consideration. Sometimes we don't agree (like when I thought that I was having a reaction to ibuprofen, but he suspected other factors), but we're alwaus able to take the time to discuss any issues and come up with a mutually satisfactory plan. I've never been hustled along, and I feel like I can ask all the questions I like. But, for all of his interest in my opinions, Dr. Thai doesn't mince around when saying what he thinks. I really like that he doesn't just go for the easy cookie-cutter solution. Although he practices Westernized medicine, he still has an Eastern, holistic approach. He won't write an Rx unless it's the best solution, not just the easy solution. (But he won't hesitate to write a prescription I need, either.) When a surgeon was trying to talk my husband into gallbladder removal, Dr. Thai didn't openly disagree with his colleague, but he did describe why he personally wouldn't have the surgery. Surgery would've been the easier solution (at least for the surgeon), but Dr. Thai made sure we made an informed choice. Dr. Thai's network seems pretty solid. I like his radiology/imaging lab of choice, and my husband really likes his referral ENT physician. I've only met one other doctor in my life who I like and trust as much, and he's at one of those crowded strip mall clinics where I try not to go unless it's after hours and I feel like I need to cover my behind for missing work. Surely I must have just had unusually rotten luck with doctors before I met Dr. Thai, but that doesn't change the important fact that Dr. Thai meets my high standards and has blown away my low expectations. read more

I have been coming to Dr. Thai for several years for a number of reasons, primarily to manage ongoing health issues, but because I can ALWAYS get an appointment, to get my allergy shots and acute care (flu, colds, and my klutziness). I have NEVER been to a doctor who has seen me on time much less BEFORE my scheduled appointment. You read that right - most of the time, if I arrive early, I can be seen early. Really big plus!!! I love Dr. Thai, and trust him implicitly. There have been times where he instinctively knew something was going on and got me to talk about it. He will share parts of himself to help show you he cares and understands. He WILL tell you some harsh truths at times, so don't waste your (or his) time if you're looking for a "yes" man, or if you're full of excuses. God help me if and when he retires. I will never find another doctor like Dr. Thai. read more

Dr. Thai is very personable and will give you advice on what you're concerned about and/or your current lifestyle and circumstances. I am moving out of the country soon and came for a physical check up and did a blood test and he is very informative on what you should do to improve your health, he even gave examples and advice based on what I should expect in the country I am moving to. The staff and Dr. Thai are friendly and welcoming and accommodating with making appointments. I've never waited too long (or at all!) to see him either. Overall I am very happy with my choice of coming here! read more

Dr. Thai is a great doctor. Met him today after getting tired of being ripped off by Vegas doctors. The doctors out here will order test's and diagnosis problems that don't exist. This is not the case with Dr. Thai. I went to ER a few days ago for slicing off a portion of my finger. I had a horrible experience with the ER doctor (Note: Don't go to Centennial ER). The ER doctor didn't treat my injury correctly, gave me the wrong medication and was just a horrible experience. I was asked to go see my regular doctor on Monday. My regular doctor (hint: his office building has his name on it in huge letters and is seen from 215) is a rip off so I decided to go to Dr. Thai. The doctor was awesome. Excellent bedside manner and he really listens to what you are saying. The doctor is funny as well. I was provided with a good diagnosis and he even told me "I usually ask to see people within a week, but I don't want you to spend the money, so see me if you think you need to come back". That shows me the level of honesty. As for the bad review. The first question the doctor asked me was if my injury was related to work so they could fill out the correct forms (FMLA). I'm not sure why there is that one bad review showing that he is dishonest. I don't believe that is the case from my interaction. As for the office. It is small, no TV, has a radio and is kind of warm. The front desk staff, Nancy, is wonderful. They do not accept Credit Card's but only Cash. This was the only weird thing. The diagnosis rooms seem a bit dated, but then again, i'm here to see a doctor, not stay at the Four Seasons. I would think updating the decor and making the office nicer would be better. But then again, the doctors with the really nice offices are the ones that rip you off because they are busy charging you money to keep the fancy office. Overall, go see the doctor if you want a honest and experienced physician. read more

Never in my life have I experienced THE WORST doctor care in my life. Maybe this doctor is beyond his age and seems to be overly-confident to a point that he doesn't need new patients. I went in hoping to get a simple annual wellness check up and brought the required physical verification form with my company's logo on it requesting the doctor's signature for completion of the physical exam in order to participate in the company's wellness incentive program. I tried explaining to Dr. Thai and he looked as though he was confused in addition to getting paranoid about signing the form. There was a brief conversation and I said that's fine if you want to verify with employer first, but our company is closed due to the holiday. I proposed that they can keep the form until they verified with my company about the legitimacy, but I would still like the wellness check up today. Without even acknowledging my proposal, the doctor gave my forms back to the nurse and walked out without providing any service to me. My take away is that this doctor is too old and confused very easily. He's also not personable. If he can't handle a simple wellness check up with blood work, then makes you think what exactly is he capable of doing for you? Also, they'll try to charge you up front for copay, even though your insurance covers 100% for an annual wellness check up. Do not waste your time. Go seek someone that is capable. read more

My husband and daughter were patients of Dr. Thai. They really liked his approach to health and wellness and I decided to give him a try. I went to Dr. for a routine physical, blood work and an ongoing knee problem. Front Desk was friendly and professional. Dr. Thai was on time, his office implemented Covid Procedures and Dr. explained what I needed to do so he could examine me safely. He listened carefully, asked a few important questions about my health history, and ordered blood work and x rays for my knee. Before I left I had an appointment for the following week to review the test results. Really like his direct approach and friendly staff. read more

I was impressed from my initial phone call to schedule the appointment, Nancy was super nice and I had an appointment to see Dr Thai the next week. I had my appointment on a Friday and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I waited just a couple mins before I was called back and seated in a room....yup no wait! Does that ever happen in a doctors office? Dr. Thai was also very friendly, great bedside manner, he answered all my questions and ordered blood work and tests that should've been ordered years ago because of my medical & family history. I'm excited to have found a Dr that is easy to talk to for myself and my family. Finally a dr's office with a smile behind the desk and on the phone that talks to you like a valued patient not just another insured patient. read more

Firtsly, it is very hard to find a good doctor that takes both our PPO insurances. I do not know why, but I still haven't found a primary care doctor, and I am a Registered Nurse at the local hospital. I called in this office and spoke with the front desk gal. Gave her all of my hisbands insurance information and she said she will call us back to schedule his appointment since we have 2 PPO's and it would not be an issue. I advised her that my hisband needs an annual physical and he has been having other issues. Never heard back from her. Called the office 4 days later and she said,"Oh yeah we scheduled you already," I told her no, no you have not. She then put me on hold for 5 minutes and 46 seconds. I hung up and never called back. This is how you lose patients. You do not tell a client or potential patient that you will authoriza something and never call back, and then assume that you know what is going on. read more

I've had a lot of doctors since I moved here in 2005, and coming from a small town in Michigan I'm used to having that doctor that listens, cares, and goes that extra mile to take good care of his patients. I went into this office because it is close to the Pharmacy i use. There were two people sitting behind a desk... one other person standing behind me. I explained that i was looking for a new General Probationer, I am somewhat new to Las Vegas. One of the people behind the desk asks me out loud what prescriptions I take... I thought it a funny question, and wondered what HIPPA would think of this... as I went through the prescriptions I take she interrupts me and says that the Doctor will not fill one of them, he will only fill it at half strength... I was taken aback and walked out ( I have been taking this medicine in the same dosage for at least 12 years)... in two minutes I walked back in and explained to this person that I had no need for any prescriptions from this alleged Doctor. My main Doctor is in New York, (he has been my Doctor for over 15 years and very well thought of) he prescribes three medicines for me... I have a local cardiologist and he prescribes two additional, my urologist and dermatologist dont prescribe anything,.. and I sure wouldn't be looking to this quack for anything a specialist does. They made an appointment for the next day in the morning. I read what this guy actually does and it isnt much. To think of using him as a your yearly check up physician is out of the question. Now I realize why he has plenty of time; he has nothing to offer, I checked in NY and with the specialists here and they could find no reason to see the guy. If you are stuck with a Insurance policy that requires referrals, he might actually be able to do them. Other wise he is has nothing to do...save your time and money. One other tip offs is that he only accepts cash...really?? One might think that a call to the IRS might straighten this guy out. He does give flu shots... if you dont want to go to CVS and get then for free. Hope this helps... read more

When you go to any Doctor you are putting your life in their hands. I am a 72 year old man who has some medical background and I know what is right and what is not. To say I love Dr. Thai would be an understatement. I think I am here on earth because he really cares about me and my well being. He listens and tells you the way it is. Fabulously smart and GREAT bedside manner. He listens and appreciates knowledge levels of your own self healthcare. Adds to it and explains everything. I love Dr Thai and his office staff!! My family goes to him and would recommend to anyone.

This guy should be called Dr. Quak Quak instead and so should the desk girl. They don't listen to anything you say and cut you off because I guess they know it all. They don't communicate to each other, so follow ups and tests ordered aren't done. I feel like I should be on the payroll because you have to be t g e one to tell them step by step on what needs to be done and what the doctor tells me for what's next, and guess what he never passes it on to his help and even if he did she probably lost the the slip or work order on what needs to be done next. I told this guy that I needed FMLA and he has my 5 year old excused, come to find out he didn't want him to learn how to lie, because he was going to show me how to get my FMLA approved because my being honest about this particular condition wasn't going to be good enough to be approved for the DOL. They call me in because they're confused about some stuff that I had to fill out on the form, so I rush in before work to take care of it. When everything is finally done i rush off to work not being able to look it over. At work I had enough time to look it over and it was so mickey moused, that I even had 2nd thoughts about sending it in. He didn't even have a proper diagnosis, all it said was "patient has many medical problems". I explained to him that the condition started 2 weeks before I came in his office and that's when the FMLA needed to start also, of course that's not the date he put. Both office help don't know how to listen either, when I first gave them the FMLA forms ,I emphasize over and over again that it's for dependant care and not my own condition but they call me in for some questions which guess what, "is this for you or your wife? SMH...get with it people and learn to listen and take notes from your patients. I don't mean to blast a business but i also like to be honest about my own personal experience .hope this can help others and also improve this business . read more

The best doctor I had in a while. Why? His staff, Nancy, is very friendly and always follows up very promptly on all treatments and lab requirements. Dr. Thai's style is very friendly, but always to the point, no sugar coating. I was in need for some lab results and x- ray and I have never seen anybody trying to negotiate the best prices for me like he did. Comparing to the Florida rates, it is just amazing how competitve the prices are. The same goes for prescriptions, he always advises you where to get the best prices. He never charges for follow-up calls, not even if those calls may qualify for a new diagnosis or treatment. If you want to experience what a real doctor should be like I warmly recommend Dr. Thai.
