Dr. Banerji is kind, listens, treats each patient as an individual, delivering care specific to the patients needs, and taking time with his patients. He does NOT practice "cookie-cutter" medicine. Because of that approach, Dr. Banerji saved my husband's life. He ordered a study most doctors don't and discovered my husband had two life threatening conditions. The specialists my husband was sent to had nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Banerji. One pointed out that Dr. Banerji would personally call him to obtain a verbal report of the office visit instead of waiting for a written report. Another specialist gave Dr. Banerji the highest compliment by saying he is "a doctor's doctor", which means Dr. Banerji is the doctor of choice other doctors select as their PCP. Just recently, Dr. Banerji determined my husband would benefit from another study not commonly ordered by most physicians. This study demonstrated my husband requires the care of a specialist, once again saving his life. Dr. Banerji is one of the most outstanding physicians I have ever encountered in my career. Twenty-five of those years I designed quality of care programs for physicians who practiced in two of the largest health systems in Detroit. I've seen Dr. Banerji 5 times this year. On one hand, it's great that I don't have to wait months for an appointment with my Primary Care Physician. That being said, when I do see him I'm lucky to get 1.5 minutes of his time. He never has time for questions. When he asks me a question he talks over me before I get to answer. I feel like he doesn't have any respect for my time whatsoever. I've got an appointment with him next week; after that I'm going to try to find a PCP that cares. read more

Beware: misdiagnosed by this doctor. I visited dr. Banerji after receiving a recommendation from ber. Big mistake! He sent me off for lab work. Then had me make another appointment to go over the labs. First, when his receptionist contact me she mentioned something about an infection. That wasn't correct. Later, when I spoke to the doctor. He mentioned I was passing a kidney stone and I had liver issues. I knew something was wrong when he started mentioning my liver. How could this be? I just had been seen by the ER few months before and they didn't mention any of this. They also had run labs . Even though this doctor gave me a phone appointment to cover my labs, he was trying to get me to come into the office. Of course oh, this would result in a double copay. I didn't understand why he was trying to get me to come in for another appointment when it didn't even sound like he knew what he was talking about in the first place. He then ordered another set of labs claiming that perhaps LabCorp made a mistake. Yeah, right! After mentioning this diagnosis to a few friends and worrying about it for two weeks, a friend suggested that I got a second opinion and I'm so glad that I did. It turns out that I was never passing a kidney stone and I have no issues with my liver. Imagine that! Where is it this doctor get his medical degree? Sounds really fishy to me. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. This place is a shit show. I was rescheduled 3 times.. once because it was literally a day before my annual.. and the girl failed to let me know this before I walked in... so my insurance wouldn't pay for it... (last year they charged me for it too so let's not go into that mess). No biggie life happens. 2nd time I showed and the Dr was not there and never got a call, but got the reminder that I still needed to go. So I had to get rescheduled and the girl gave me attitude for requesting the first 4pm slot ... sorry people have jobs. Finally on the 3rd time, I go in and get told my labs are no where to be found, but why figure this out on the day I'm there? And now it's 45 min into my appt time... the medical assit and the check out girl proceed to talk shit about me and how I'm lying about my labs not being done and that "every time" she spoke with me I couldn't make it in... first off , I never spoke with her once! Other than when I had to get rescheduled and the ONLY "issue" I had was the time of the appt which was to have it at 4pm because you know people WORK and after wasting my time for the 3rd time why would I waste time PTO if you guys keep changing the time on me. I walked out after hearing them shit talking while I'm literally 5 feet away with the door closed as if I couldn't hear the ENTIRE conversation. Super professional guys. I worked a medical front desk job for over 10 years... I make sure I'm not rude to the front desk crew because mistakes happen and it's not always their fault and I know the front desk usually gets shit on for no reason because r they are the first people patients see... BUT this takes the cake! I would have NEVER done that. Also, if the front desk manager is reading this... for every annual appt you have coming in, it's not rocket science at that VERY least call that patients and ask them, "hey we noticed we don't have your labs in yet?" Did you get them done or do you need to reach out to them to get them on time or reschedule you so we can make sure we have them when you come in?" It's called customer service and being efficient! I know, because I used to do that! Prepping the charts the day before is common practice for any medical clinic. But NO, apparently that's too hard and too much work. In short find another office, maybe one where the staff doesn't talk shit about you and you have to hear the Whole thing and be subjected to being called a liar, and not getting my labs done. Who lies about that and comes in to get an annual and waste my own damn time?! Does that make any sense?! I literally even gave you the exact date of when I got them done. I walked out and told them I heard everything they said and that they can forget about the whole thing. I better not be charged with a copay. Once again wasted my time again. I would not send my worst enemy to this quack and would go to a veteranarian before stepping foot in this place again. I've seen better bail bondsmen's offices. It's shabby, crowded and dirty. The 'physical' exam I had lasted not more than 10 minutes with hardly ANY exam at all other than checking my breath! The 'staff' if you could call it that is basically stupid and unresponsive. And the wait time? Such a scam. You wait for hours since he wants to pack as many people in as possible, mostly elderly, where he can make a mint treating these fossils and keeping them coming back incurring more charges. In all my life, I have never had such a bad experience with a doctor and their office! I booked the appointment a few weeks in advance for a physical and a couple of other things that I wanted to go over with doctor Bashab Banerji and let the person on the other end know all of these things. The appointment was set for 10:30am and go there 10 minutes early to fill out the new patient paperwork. As soon as I walked in, I knew there were going to be issues and wish I would've trusted my gut... When I first walked in, there were at least four people that were there in the waiting area who were waiting to be seen. One of the first things I asked the receptionist was how long I was realistically going to have to wait to be seen (even though I had an appointment) and if all of the people waiting were in front of me. The answer I got was a "yes" for the people, and "about an hour to an hour-and-a-half" for the wait time. I needed to leave for work by noon and figured that since I was already there, I might as well try and stick it out and hope for the best. Yeeeeaaaaaa, big mistake on my part. Turned out I was in for a bit of a wild ride and circus... Here's some of the things I experienced: - While I was filling out the new patient paperwork, I witnessed the receptionist argue and give the doctor a hard time because apparently someone that used to work there doesn't anymore (mystery...) and that "this wouldn't be happening if (the mystery person) was here" and continued to give the doctor pushback. - ... In addition, the receptionist was annoyed venting her frustration sideways to the point that one of the patients the doctor had just seen told the receptionist "relax" to which the receptionist returned with a "What did you say?!" - The doctor came out a couple of times to mention that he was getting closer to seeing another patient who was ahead of me and said "I'm working with a complex patient and will be with you shortly". I heard this explanation of "working with a complex patient" frequently and that the main reason he was running behind is because he supposedly spends a lot of time with his patients. - I didn't get into the examine room until 11:50am and wasn't seen by doctor Bashab Banerji until 12:05pm. - The person that was supposed to take my height and weight just went off of what it says on my license rather then put me on a scale or anything and when she took my blood pressure, she did it over my shirt sleeve. Can you get an accurate reading that way? I've never had my b.p taken like that. - The walls in the exam room must be paper thin because I could hear the entire conversations taking place with his other patients on each side as he switched. Not very private. So after he finally walks in at 12:05pm, I was pretty annoyed. I shook his hand as he gave me the same "I was working with another complex patient" excuse and asked me what I was there for. He told me that I would need to come back because he has to order the things for the physical and bring other things needed as well. I told him he wasted my time and why I wasn't informed of any of this over the phone when I explained everything. Needless to say, he didn't have a reason. So I took the blame myself for everything to try and give him the benefit of the doubt and said that I would just book the first appointment for the day in the future to which he replied "That's impossible." I thought I heard him wrong but he meant it. Apparently, he does in fact have some special extra paying program that puts other people ahead of others. I read something in some other reviews about this and had a hard time believing it but it's true. AND, to have some forms filed out by the office, they will in fact charge $50 per form needing to be filled out. I was disgusted by all of this and the doctor actually said to me that he felt we got off on the wrong foot, that I should find another doctor and that he has the right to choose the patients he wants to work with. So all in all, in the 1 & 1/2 hours I waited there, I got a half-assed blood-pressure test, and the doctor took 10 seconds to use his stethoscope on my chest and back over my clothing. I'll never forget this experience that was all around ridiculous and unprofessional. Do yourself and huge favor and go somewhere else... or, maybe he is in fact a decent doctor but know that appointments don't mean anything (unless you pony up and pay for his extra special services or whatever it is and even then I guess there aren't any guarantees) and you'd better get really comfortable waiting around and hoping you don't witness anything I saw and heard. But really... don't waste your time here and find a place that isn't dysfunctional and gives a damn. read more

I would like to address a few things. 1.) I was very impressed with Dr. Banerji. I am extremely picky about my doctors. I also know how horrible the medical system can be. Dr. Banerji is very nice, caring, and knows what he is doing. 2.) if you are going to base whether you stay with a doctor or not, based solely on the office staff-- then you are in for a rude awakening. As far as Dr. Banerji's staff, i cant really give an opinion quite yet. I will say that Ashley his MA is extremely sweet and efficient. There is one younger girl, don't know her name, who is a little unprofessional... (i also think she missed a few labs on my sheet).. but i would say it's because she is young and has no experience. Try calling and see how long you are asked to hold. You might get lucky, but probably not. I missed an appointment because I tried reaching them 8 times even asking for a call back once when I finally got a machine, which I never received. Was placed on hold one of those 8 times for 42 minutes! Got mad, hung up. Then his staff took it upon themselves to book me another appointment that I knew nothing about until the Friday before. On Monday it was too late to cancel and once again no one answered!!! This office of which I had been a patient of for a number of years charged me for both of those appointments! I tried to call and talk to the doctor several times, his staff was rude and would not give him my message. My fist time at this office did not go well as i hoped. I went in for a wellness check up covered by my ins at 100%. But they charged me my co pay! I informed the girl at the time that the service is covered at 100%. But refused, I paid but was not happy! Through out the year I saw the Dr. He sent to many Dr's for various things even though I'm very healthy, but I went to all the Dr he referred me to. thinking he's a good Dr just wants to make sure I'm healthy right!! I've come to realize that he was sending to Dr that he was probably getting referral credits $$. All the Dr's that I saw were wondering why he was referring me if nothing was wrong, some of the Dr I saw said he likes to exacerbate any condition. Wow!! One other reason I was not happy is they never never answer the phone! When they do they are beyond rude! The two guys at the front desk have no customer service manner's, The Dr will not give you your medicine refill unless he sees you every 6 months when he sees you he will send you for blood work and expect you to come back for results. I've come to realize they don't care about the patients they just want to profit. I stated menopause and he was not interested in knowing my situation he said I can talk to my Obgyn , I told him your my primary I thought you would care he said no only your ob can help you. Don't waste your time, literally it will take 2-3 hours to see the doctor no matter what day or time your appointment is. His staff is rude and condescending, they rarely answer the phone and rarely return messages. If you enjoy being talked down to by staff members that are clearly overworked, underpaid, bitter and awful then sure go here. I will gladly never go back, I will never get back the 30+ hours I have sat in the waiting rooms and I look forward to finding a doctor whose staff is competent and most importantly kind. After 2 weeks, 2 out of 3 of my prescriptions were NEVER sent to my pharmacy, and the one that was I had to hound them about BECAUSE I DON'T FEEL WELL. The one that was called in is still awaiting preauthorization because of the rude woman Ashley who keeps purposely pushing off my preauthorization just to be petty. She was so rude to me and I have done nothing but call and calmly asked for an update, only to be met with cattiness. It's actually shocking to me how rude she can be. Do yourself a favor, after reading other reviews on here for his practice I know that I am actually going to be better off not going back. Also, some people are writing things like "If the review is only about the staff, then that doesn't say anything about the doctor and it says more about the author, I strongly disagree, the way a person is treated by doctors, receptionists and nurses all plays into health; mental and physical, it is all connected. The rude staff that hasn't sent in my prescriptions or has made me wait for 2 hours on the phone before (I actually drove there once while on hold for that long and walked in and they weren't on the phone and I said "Hi I'm on hold and have been for almost 2 hours," yeah that was priceless...) Banerji who has said shocking things to me when I was being very kind at my most recent appointment. Well this place is just not a place to get well. It seems to cause 75% of people anguish and get nowhere with their health. Yes of course it is annoying to wait 2-3 hours, 1 hour is normal at a doctors office, but maybe if the staff was nice and the Dr. was helpful it would all be worth it. This office is a prime example of everything wrong in medical billing. See the doctor for 15 minutes, pay my copay to be sent for bloodwork. Pay my fee for bloodwork at the lab. Go back to this office for a follow up to my original 15 minute appointment - TO BE CHARGED another copay for an office visit. Two charges to my insurance and my wallet for one visit? I left without being seen, after the doctor refused to waive the copay. All this to get a refill for a prescription I need for normal life. ***UPDATED*** I am updating my review from 1 to 4 because, about 15 or 20 min after I hung up and wrote this, Dr Banerjis office contacted me. The process on Doxy was rather easy and, besides the rude front desk girl, went smoothly once it began. Dr Banerji is a great dr, ive seen him before, i am only giving 4 of 5 stars because his staff would have been the reason i would have canceled to find a new Dr had he not logged in to chat with me. I advised him of the below review and he took my card info himself and saw that it was corrected. Thank you, Dr Banerji. First, I left work early for this appointment and called to pay my copay on my way home in an effort to stay on time for my 4pm appointment time. The girl that answered was absolutely awful. I asked her to read my card number back to me because I may have missed the last 4 correctly, she refused, stating she only had the last four and i asked again what they were. She gave them to me and i told her "im sorry I misread the last 4, its hard to see" and she said " well it already went through" I said its not my card number and she responded "well if it gets rejected we'll call you back" and then hung up on me. I had planned to advise Dr Banerji when I saw him for the electronic appointment on my phone and that i would be writing this review to protect myself incase the rightful card owner had the charge investigated. However, I never got the opportunity to do that because, although I logged in 5 min before 4pm, no one ever answered my web camera apt. I waited and called the office back about 4:48pm and the same rude girl answered and said he was running behind and hung up on me again. Then, at 5:25pm, still waiting for Dr Banerji to answer the apt web cam call, I called the office again AND THEY WERE CLOSED. No answer from a dr, no answer from the rude girl, just a voice-mail. Deserves no stars! Went a couple times just for annual labs and allergy medication refill. You'll spend at least 2 hours sitting in the tiny waiting room and then another hour once they take you back before he finally comes in. Doesn't do anything electronically and makes you take your paper script for labs. Then you have to make another appointment to go back so he can go over the labs that you already were able to see on the Quest app. Of course double copay and then you receive another bill. He billed my insurance $212.00 for a 5 minute televisit just so he could tell me my labs were fine. Healthcare should not be done this way! Could be the worst office staff on the planet. You call and IF they answer you are put on hold. For how long? God only knows. He CONSTANTLY overbooks patients apparently unaware that his time is no more important that anyone else's and the inept staff gives the excuse that 'he spends time with his patients'. So does everyone else. The fact remains that there is such a thing as planning and patient management software exists to ensure that both the physician and the patients are not inconvenienced. I respect Dr Banerji's research and opinion so much he could have a mean old smoking bitty behind the desk and I wouldn't care. I've never cared about the staff behind the desk or a wait time because I know WHO I need to see is more important than anything else. As I went through several diagnosis' that took testing at a few facilities, I felt I was given red carpet treatment because I was Dr Banerji's patient. One Dr actually called Dr Banerji as I sat there to discuss what they were looking for and finding. I knew I had a researcher in my Dr and with the respect of his peers he made them tune in like he does. I am so Thankful to HIM, not his staff or his waiting room. Dr. Banerji kept me waiting between 2 and 3 hours for each appointment I have had. His explanation is that he is taking time with each patient. Trying to secure an appointment time when he is least likely to get behind is almost impossible. He offered me a "Concierge" status for a mere 1800.00 cash per year, which would afford me better appointment times and different access to him than non "Concierge" patients. Shouldn't this be standard practice without having to pay 1800.00 extra cash per year? The straw that broke the camel's back for me was at my last visit I brought in a piece of paper to be signed for my insurance company to refund travel I wasn't able to do because of medical reasons. I could easily have filled in the form and then have his signature, but Dr. Banerji told me one of his assistants would do this. After waiting over a week not hearing back, I called and was told that the form would be done and waiting for me the next day. The assistant called asking me the questions on the form (which as I said, I was willing to fill out myself). She called me back within the hour to tell me that Dr. Banerji would sign the form for what they normally charge 50.00. But for me he would only charge 25.00. I should have been told this the week before when I was there, or at least one of the 3 or 4 phone calls I had to make to inquire as to when this would be ready for me to pick up. Not only did I find the charge to be unacceptable, but the timeline, which wasted my time and has delayed my refund from the insurance company. I had a 1st time doctor appointment at 2 pm & arrived at 1:43 pm. Time went by and it was now 3pm and still did not see the doctor. No one came in the room to apologize! I demanded my office visit to be credited, no problem, and left! Why do doctors think patients time isn't as important as theirs? They should not double book and think about the "buck"! Patient care should come first! This town has absolutely no professionalism or common courtesy. The office floors & furniture needs some cleaning and updating! Dr Banerji may have saved my life. I am 33 years old and was just diagnosed with cancer. I started seeing Dr Banerji just a few months ago for sciatic nerve pain down my leg and high blood pressure. Dr Banerji ran a thorough battery of tests including blood, urine, and X-ray. When the X-rays did not show anything, he could have just stopped, but he had the experience, intuition, and empathy to look further with an MRI. Sure enough that MRI found the 3 tumors in my spine that I am now being treated for. Of course there is sometimes a 30 minute wait to see Dr Banerji, and even sometimes I got frustrated by that, but I've realized he is giving every patient the time and attention they need. I would much rather wait to see a great Dr than to see someone who is putting his patients through a 15 minute revolving door. Sometimes as "patients" we need to do our part and practice PATIENCE so our Drs can practice MEDICINE and not the fast-food equivalent of health care. I love Dr Banerji and we are all lucky to have him looking after our health. I will continue to see him for as long as I can. read more

Some people complain about the various test he some times orders, but that is because he cares. If you want a doctor to treat you with pills and nothing else, he is not the doctor for you. read more

I have seen several doctors here in Las Vegas but none with the knowledge and professionalism and also the helpfulness that Dr. Banerji has shown to me. Yes he sometimes runs late but that is because he takes his time with each patient rather than say your time is up. I had an occasion to call his office on Sunday morning as I was in quite a lot of pain. He returned my call and called in a script right away and then his staff called me the next morning to squeeze me in so he could follow up. Lets see how many other caring doctors would do that here in Las Vegas. Every time I mention his name whether in the hospital or seeing another specialist the other doctors all know him and speak well of him. He has gotten behind on occasion, but like others have said, he takes his time to address all your issues. I prefer a doctor that takes his time, then one that rushes to stay on time.
