Scheduled my bloodwork online, went to the Gause location, then checked in by phone while still in my car. Walked into the facility, and maybe 5-8 minutes later was called in for my appointment. Scheduled an appointment with Matthew Bassetts office 6 months ago arrived at my scheduled time only to find out that the lab didn't open till 7:30, I arrived at 7:00. I had no choice but to wait since I needed my labs done before my doctor visit the following business day and they said the lab closes at 11:30 on Fridays. I know if I got out of work on a Friday at 11:30 I would be in a great mood! Not these ladies! When they finally arrived and called the first patient back it wasn't me and I said to the front desk lady, I was here before him, she quickly said "NO YOU WEREN'T" he dropped me off and was waiting in his car. So apparently that was her husband/boyfriend? When I finally was called back the lady calling my name glared at me with a look that if looks could kill I would've been dead. I then proceeded into the lab draw room where she asked me for my insurance card. She begins typing and I see her typing, deleting, typing, deleting, I wasn't sure what she was doing so I said are you deleting my other insurance? (I have to insurances) She then proceeded to ask me about the other insurances, rather rudely I might add, to which I answered her questions. She finally asked me if I had to other insurance card and I said I honestly don't have time, at this point I was there 45 minutes and was already going to be late since she hadn't even begun drawing my blood. When I said I didn't have time, the other lady who was on her phone, looked up at me with a nasty look and I said is something wrong and she said "What? I can't look around the room?" At this point I was so stressed and feeling anxious that I began to cry. The lady who was typing my info handed me a box of tissue, I said Thank You, she said nothing. When she drew my blood, she was not gentle, I still have bruising three days later, she pressed down hard and I could feel the needle was not sitting in the vein correctly. (I used to be a phlebotomist). I costs NOTHING, to be nice to people and these two ladies were NOT NICE at all. Was I frustrated after having scheduled this appointment, YES! But I'm the patient and should be treated with so common decency and some compassion, you never know what someone is going through. read more

My experience here was so terrible that I have to laugh a little. So... I go to a new doc a few towns away who orders my labs from this place. I figured I would beat any crowds and show up at like 6:30 in the morning. It's windy, cold and raining. I walk in and there is only a little old lady and her husband sitting there waiting. There is a window where some staff member used to sit but is now sealed shut and you can't see through it anymore. Other than a couple of chairs on the dirty floor there sits against the wall a lonely electronic kiosk circa 1999. I punch in my name and some info it tells me my wait is 3 hours. I stand there, dumbfounded, when a very disgruntled woman pokes her head out of the only door in this place and I take the opportunity to ask why my wait would be 3 hours when the place is practically empty. She says there could be more people outside waiting in their cars. There weren't. I checked. Either way she didn't want to debate and honestly I was a little afraid of her due to her grim countenance and belligerent tone. I took my doctors orders to the hospital next day and waited under 15 minutes. Done. To heck with this Quest place. Rude, unprofessional. Life's too short to live in a Kafka novel. read more

My daughter's doctor order labs and told us to go to Quest. BIG mistake! My daughter is anxious of needles and was nervous to start. The person called us back. No smile. She starts with her questions and when she is done my daughter nervously asks if she can use a butterfly needle. THE PERSON IGNORED HER!! This just makes her more nervous. When the person went to draw her blood. I, her mother asked "can you use a butterfly". The person said I got us it's under control it's under control. She was just making my daughter more and more nervous. We got to the blood draw she did fine. She was glad it was over and I will NEVER return to this location ever again. NO COMPASSION for people nervous about needles!! read more

Customer service suxs.They all seem unhappy. You don't like your job get another one. A smile doesn't cost you anything. Never ever will use Quest ! After 2 hour wait they called me in and tell me this test can't be done after 1. So I went to Oschners in and out after 10 minutes. read more

Today while having lab work done at Slidell Memorial on Robert Rd. I experience what I thought was very unprofessional . This tech just stuck me in my arm without securing a vein she kept saying she could not find. She just STUCK me, she used nothing to anchor my vein. Then immediately asked the other tech to assist me after she sticks me.... Just like last time. Please someone contact me through Dr. Matthew Bassett office. After seeing some negative reviews of local quest labs I was reluctant. I visited the Slidell location on a Saturday, mid morning. I made an appointment by phone system one hour before I arrived, and was promptly taken to the back at my appointment time. Sierra was nice, gentle and I would definitely recommend this location. read more

The system this quest has is terrible. I sat there 2 hours for them to finally call me in then tell me this test cant be done after one I went Ocshners lab and no waiting. They finished 10 minutes after I arrived . They saw I was tired after working all night and shipped my test off for me ! Great customer service Oschner. N ever use quest again !
