Poor customer service provided by one of the phlebotomy techs. The tech knew who I was based on my pre-check in drivers license yet when I didn't reply to my name being called she removed my name from the checked list. The tech was very argumentative when called after I called her out. The tech had another tech take my sample which I bled unnecessarily, I'm not sure if this was a get even thing or not. Buyer be ware. read more

This is a follow up message to my previous complaint. It was a bit difficult to reach the corporate office at Quest, regarding my issues, but I eventually did find a way. After sending corporate an email I received a quick response from Cindy Johnson saying that my issue would be forwarded to one of their district supervisors. I was also left a phone message and I ended up calling them back. The manager for this region was Ruben, who was quite helpful. He was responsive, apologetic and resolved my issue immediately. He also arranged for a young lady named Gisele to be at the location to take my sample. Both of them were quite pleasant to deal with. I guess this was an isolated incident and the particular employee in question, is now being given some guidance and education as to how to appropriately deal with patients. A good bedside manner is highly important in this kind of position and also the ability to give proper instructions. Again, I highly appreciate the superb service given by Cindy, Ruben and Giselle. They quickly resolved my issue. read more

This location is really good, I've been going here anytime I need bloodwork since I moved to simi. When I went in today, I received the same top notch care. I noticed the staff had to deal with a really rude customer.... I was irritated for the staff just overhearing this guy, but they were all calm, friendly and professional. All in all, this is a great location. read more

Arrived on time, waited an hour after my scheduled appointment and it looked like another 20 minutes to go. I had to leave to go to the doctors office and never got blood drawn. I had brain surgery last week and my stamina was waning. Not sure what their appointment system is, but it really doesn't work. I went to another location as a walk in later and there was only a 3 minute wait. read more

Presented for a blood draw. Trainee phlebotomist struggled to palpate a vein and punctured the vein while changing tubes. To complete the sampling, the phlebotomist intended to puncture the other arm. It's normally rare for this to happen, and in my life, this is the first such experience. Speed in setting up the orders intake was excellent, but the venipuncture experience was and remains painful days later. The surrounding tissue is now bruised and swollen. If this does not resolve over the next couple of days I will get in the long queue to see my physician or pay the price for urgent care. The issue is simply a lack of proficiency by the new phlebotomist. Lesson: If a phlebotomist struggles to palpate the vein or seems uncertain, exit the session and reschedule. read more

Quest Diagnostics - Bruise from punctured vein during blood draw. - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Simi Valley, California

They were very rude. Had a appointment at 330pm. After 20 min wait, I knocked on the door. They asked me what kind of test I was supposed have. I told them a urine test. Then they asked me what kind of urine test and did I have the Lab request. I told them the Dr just told me to just show up. The tech was very rude read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! For purposes of identification only, the Indian woman at reception was beyond rude and inappropriate. A VERY old man wheeled his VERY old wife in and handed the receptionist the paperwork. She growled, "We don't do this test here!" And shoved the paperwork back at him. He said, "I'm sorry but I can't read well so can you call another location for me?" She REFUSED. I offered to help and she grumbled about privacy and said DO NOT HELP. I wanted to cry. Shame on this horrific human being. This man was heartbroken. I'm still sick over it. read more

Had the best experience for my toddler with two of the nicest technicians. Would definitely recommend for young kids.

I was a little worried I couldn't be taken right in appointment but I went online and booked an appointment and got right in at my appt time

I went in there to get a body sample kit, and waited for quite some time with no one coming to the front to help (even though noise can be heard in the back that people were there). There were no other customers/clients so it was not busy at all. Having to speak loudly, eventually, someone came and when showing the medical paper to simply pick up a kit (no blood work, no testing, etc. that would be time consuming), she stated that I need to sign in, and left. Waiting for a few more minutes for someone to talk to about receiving a kit (which again, only takes seconds), I left. Worse service ever. I went across the plaza to their competitor, Primex Clinical Laboratory, and they helped me quickly, gave me the body sample kit, explained the process, and I was out in 2 minutes. Primex was great! read more

After visiting this quest diagnostics location, I will never return. I went in today with an appointment just to drop off a specimen sample and waited 45 minutes. There was never anybody in the front to help. Everybody in the waiting room was complaining. By the time I got called back the girl who was helping me was extremely rude! I have never been to a quest where I had to write down all the information and attach it to the specimen samples. She looked at me like I was handing her a dead animal. Her job is to collect specimen samples and it shouldn't be that big of a deal but she acted completely grossed out. read more

Made an appointment on line. Only had to wait a few minutes to go in for the appointment. The technician was efficient and friendly. I am now waiting for the results to show up on the website which are to be posted today. So far, no results yet.. PF read more

The Quest phone system is the most user UNFRIENDLY that I have experienced. There is just NO WAY to reach a live customer service person to confirm an appointment. I spent an hour listening to long speeches and pressing buttons, only tobe told that I can't be transferred to a customer representative. Who ever programmed the phone system DOES NOT want you to reach a customer service person! VERY POOR service. read more

If you dont mind being stabbed with a needle multiple times before the phlebotomist calls for another person to come help-this is the place for you. As an FYI my loved one has great veins and has never had this problem before. read more

The staff is friendly enough, however they are not helpful. The office is understaffed, and there for the process is slow.

I often have to come in once a month. I make an appointment every time. Not once have I ever had to wait less than 20 mins. It seems to be an average wait time of 30-40 mins after you show up for your appointment before your name is called. It is because this location is severely understaffed and has been an ongoing issue. Quest knows this and hasn't done anything yet to solve this. If the issue of being understaffed can't be resolved then quest should be regulating its appointments better to accommodate the issue of being understaffed, so that people don't have to constantly wait. read more

Had an apt on Thursday 6/30 at 1039 AM. Showed up at 945 on the way home from the airport hoping to swing through early as the place has been generally pretty empty in the past. They were busy, no problem. Watched as 2 walk ins came in after me and the nurse came to the door saying "appointments are first" then proceeded to take a walk in at 1015, while both a 1000 and 1010 appointment were sitting in the waiting room. Then, another walk in showed up at 1015 and they gave her the same song and dance, "appointments first". Well, 1040 rolls around and there are 3 1030 appointments (including me) in the waiting room, and they show up to call the walk in. I called BS and the nurse had the audacity to say that she didn't see my name, despite it being on the TV in the lobby for 45 minutes. I walked out. Won't come back to this location as long as current management is running the show. read more

The person at the front desk is intolerable, rude, dismissive and generally a displeasure to deal with. She is a horrible reflection on the entire organization and has no business interacting with people anywhere. There needs to be some accountability and action taken against this person. A generic canned response from Quest is not satisfactory. The calls will begin tomorrow to their office demanding some sort of training or change! Enough with rude people read more

Horrible! Waited almost 1.5 hours! I had an appointment and arrived 10 mins early to check in. I even had a text confirming the appt. When I clicked the check in link originally texted to me it said appt not found. I went up to the desk multiple times and the nurse was no help at all. She said there was a glitch in the system and I was put at the back of the queue again behind multiple people who had appointments after me. Three "walk ins" came in after me and were seen before me which made me very upset. Finally after over an hour waiting, a different nurse noticed I was one of the last people left in the room and took me herself. She was very helpful and apologetic. read more

Terrible service. Every time I have come here there is no one at the desk. When there has been, the service is rude. The nurses are typically nice and gentle, but the front desk is horrible. Worth driving somewhere else if you can. read more

Their policy keep changing Without any notification to the insurance . If you are fasting not a professional lab to go .They make you wait to draw blood if you are lucky !!!! for hours . I had to leave this place due to lack of responsibility for fasting patients. Unfortunately this is the close and only lab near my home . very very disappointing!! half star read more

SERIOUSLY!! ZERO STARS!! I walked in and a lady in the back was yelling at the top of her lungs "LOCK THE DOOR!!" Someone then came to the front and told me I needed to leave the office because it was their lunch hour and I couldn't be seen. Their clock said 12:05 when I walked in, but once I got in my car, I noticed that MY cell phone and car clock both said exactly noon, that theirs was obviously set fast at minimum 5 minutes ahead. (The whole "transaction" inside - walk in, start to sign in on computer, etc - was at a good 2 minutes long) As I have a lunch hour too, I made sure that I got there on time, before they closed... they said nothing to the woman who walked in there only seconds before me!! HUGE inconvenience for me. Seriously poor customer service. I will never be back!! read more

My daughter had a blood test done here. We walked in and were immediately taken to the back. The test went quickly and smoothly. The nurse was professional and kind. The results arrived in a timely manner. Overall, very happy with the service. read more

I was told this lab located near Wood Ranch was faster than the Quest in Simi Valley near the hospital. I made an appointment online for 1:30. The day of the appointment I went to the lab and the door was locked! The sign on the door said their lunch was 12-1. I knocked and finally pounded on the door. No answer. I called the number on the sign on their door and after going through all the "push 1 then push3" etc it told me there was no person I could talk to and the computer hung up on me! By 1:45 I was very frustrated and drove to the one near the hospital. She said she didn't know what as going on at the other clinic but I could get my blood work there. After waiting for 45 minutes I was finally seen. All in all a very frustrating time. I will look for another lab in the future. read more

Went to get a blood test this morning, The service was efficient and friendly. The person who performed the test was easy to deal with, and one of the most competent in doing the procedure. I've had numerous blood tests over the years, and my veins are not easy to find, This professional found the vein quickly and drew blood with minimal pain, except for the slight prick of the initial insertion of the needle. And there was no bruising afterwards. Highly recommend people use this Quest facility. . read more
