The lady was super quick but she totally took care and made sure my name was on everytube and billing was right. She made sure she returned my card Prick was totally fine. They collected 6 tubes of blood. Overall good experience Missed a start bcoz she was actually doing it so quickly i was scared she would mess up something! read more

God I wish I had to go to the DMV rather than Quest. This place probably makes hell look like a Hilton hotel. if you manage to only go in one time, and leave satisfied with what you needed, you're probably in the minority read more

The old lady in the reception is super rude, perhaps on a power trip or might be racist. Our appointment was at 9:30 and i was there 2 minutes late and she cancelled my appointment and started telling me since i am 2 minutes late, I don't have an appointment and should wait 1:30 hours. Will never come to this location and ask my doctor to recommend a different lab. read more

As good as it gets for getting blood tests. The ladies I always get have decades of experience as phlebotomists. I really appreciate this, and rarely feel any needle pokes. True professionals. I love the patient portal where I can view my test results, and I can schedule my appointments. All in all a very positive experience no matter which Quest location I go to. Always make an appointment, and you'll never have any problems. read more

As soon as i walked in I thought I was in the wrong place. First thing coming in I thought it was a bit dirty, nothing on the walls. Bathroom was very dirty. No toilet paper, looked like someone wiped themselves with alcohol wipes and left it all over the floor. Staff was a bit rude at first, but after talking for a bit I thought it might just be busy and he was stressed. He ended up helping me out a lot. Wait was about 20 min, didn't think that was bad since there were a lot of people. As far as the procedure, I liked her(unsure of her name) it was easy, painless, and only lasted thirty seconds. She was nice and caring and made me feel comfortable(for a needle freak this was awesome). I liked how there is nearly a whole room for you while getting your blood drawn. It felt private! I would give more stars if the place was cleaner and the front desk staff was a bit nicer at first :) Will probably be coming back because the lady that took my blood was nice and it was painless. read more

Much better experience with this phlebotomist who also processed me at check in. Always dreaded seeing Valerie in past experiences, but today was awesome, quick, clean, and professional. read more

Im not a big fan of needles! But they're really nice and gentle I should say.. I read the reviews and it kinda scares me but I gave it a try anyways because my doctor is really close by. For some reason I have never got a bad experience here. (Lucky one) definitely go on the right time every time because I never wait more than 15 mins. There's always parking, bottom line is some of the photos and reviews doesn't do the justice. They're definitely my to go place for my lab test read more

Poor service! This has nothing to do with covid 19. I pre registered online. When I arrived 5 minutes prior to my appointment there were 3 people waiting . I quickly checked in I was told to have a seat. There were 3 people in the waiting room and obviously a few in the lab. Everyone got served before me and those that came in afterwards. A half hour later I was called in. I was put at the end of a line of 8 people because the receptionist said she needed to find my doctors information. 1. I had faxed the medical request from the doctor's office the day before 2. I had provided copies of insurance cards 3. I was preregistered 4. Form had all I The information they needed! No wonder they have a poor rating They stack patients in groups and stagger appointments. They are disrespectful of serving those who do all that is required making appointments and failing to inform if there is any issue that needs attention instead of making one wait at the time of their reserved time. Disgusting! read more

This place is really good. There are at least 3-4 people working. I've been there twice, and there's a short line, probably because they have good workers. Terri helped me and she was really kind, friendly and professional. She went above and beyond to help me and make sure I felt good and comfortable. Compared to the one on Campbell, this is heaven. Campbell (see my review) has 1 person working the desk... and drawing blood. And it's was packed. at least 8 people in front of me. Di Salvo is a great place to go. Whoops. I guess the secret is out. read more

This place open on Saturday ! Lines at these places are always long. I wouldn't leave a bad feedback for the wait if it's only one in a 5 miles radius and its located next to 2 hospital. I would definitely come back here again blood work done. read more

My spouse went here and this is his usually facility because his doctor's office is near O'Connor. He said the nurse was kind and it didn't take that long, but that he felt some pain. When he showed me his arm, I was shocked! He's gone to this facility for many years and never had an issue, but this time he came back with a huge bruise on his arm and the tape took off some of his skin. I am posting a picture for authenticity. I hate writing bad reviews, but I am writing this in hopes that it will reach management and that they will review their safety practices. What's wrong with the technician named Cindy P? She is super rude to me and my Dad. My Dad does not speak English but I can translate for him, but she seemed very annoyed, and raised her voice too much with us although we were very polite to her at first. I know this lab is extremely busy but it is not a good reason to be rude to your patients. Cindy, if you are not happy with your job then just quit! read more

Like vampires, they only want as much blood as possible (and your urine, which is much scarier). It's crowded. Doesn't matter your appointment time. You'll wait at least one hour. After reading the reviews I was expecting the worse. I'm glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. I needed a blood test for an annual credit for my Health Insurance. On Tuesday I made a reservation for the coming Saturday at 11:30am. It was the only time available that day. When I walked in, I was asked to sign in and have a seat. There were 20 other people in the waiting room which really made me worry I'd be there forever. I thought everyone must have had an appointment too but apparently they didn't. Luckily within 10 minutes, my name was called and the receptionist checked me in and gave me a laminated, yellow card that read "Appointment" and told me to have a seat inside. I waited another 5 minutes with 5 other people behind the receptionist desk before the phlebotomist called me first since I was the only one with the yellow card indicating I had an appointment. My phlebotomist was very friendly, fast and professional. She took my weight, blood pressure, waist circumference, and 1 vile of blood. Even though my draw was easy, the women in the room next to me was clearly having a difficult draw because of her very small veins and I could hear that she was uncomfortable. That was a little unsettling but, my experience was practically perfect. I will definitely be coming back for my annual tests. read more

I had been using this lab for years, but after my last labs were screwed up, my doctor insisted I change to another lab. She said Quest has always had problems. I went in last week with an appointment. I was fasting, which is a BIG deal for me because I have chronic pain due to severe arthritis and I cannot take my pain meds on an empty stomach. Not only were they about 20 minutes after my appointment time taking me in, but they somehow marked that I was non fasting instead of fasting, so they THREW OUT my blood for my fasting test! Then! They sent my results to the wrong doctor even though it was clearly marked on the form that I brought in! Now I have to go through another fasting blood draw without any pain relief! Never again Quest! read more

If you see the history of my reviews, you'll see that I'm the first to celebrate positive customer service and give recognition where it's due. Rarely do I ever give negative reviews. This Quest Diagnostics location is TERRIBLE. I have been to several other locations in San Jose, including one off of Tully on the East Side with MANY more patients on any given day, as well as the location in Willow Glen. Appointments vs. Walk-Ins : Appointments go first. Duh. I arrived this morning as a walk-in, understanding there would be a wait. The wait wasn't the issue. It was how the staff managed who was going when along with their office practices. My name disappeared off the "useful" screen they used about 45 minutes into my wait. Concerned, I checked with the receptionist whom indicated that when the name is removed, you're being "worked on" and will be called up soon. Half an hour later- name still gone, waiting in lobby. (While another patient is "pissed" as she indicates to the staff, as she had been waiting an extensive amount of time just to have her paperwork returned; and another is asked of his private information loudly in the middle of the lobby. He hesitated, informing her he would give her his intake sheet of patient information once completed. However, she asked again, indicating she needed it right at that moment. He reluctantly gave it to her. I now know along with 10 other patients that he lives on Owsley Avenue thanks to the Receptionist's fine privacy practices. *Sarcasm* An hour and fifteen minutes later, still haven't been seen. Not their fault, I should've made an appointment. BUT THEN...(2) walk-ins who arrived after me were called. (The screen indicates who is a walk-in and who had an appointment; best believe I watched that thing like a hawk.) When I proceed to ask the Receptionist why this happened, she responded very shortly, "appointments are seen first before walk-ins." Once again, DUH. Really, she couldn't tell me why. She looked around for my paperwork, and all she could say was something along the lines of "you're in the cue" or "you're in line." Excuse me, but NO SH**. I could've told you that. I asked for my paperwork back and made sure to get all copies, including theirs. Forget the labwork- you guys just suck all around (for lack of better words.) I would rather wait all over again with a room full of clients anxiously waiting to be seen with staff that would take care of their duties/responsibilities sensitively and appropriately. HIGHLY disappointed. Willow Glen/Tully- I will never cheat on you again. read more

The worst lab I've ever been to. Cleanliness level 0. Professionalism 0. Logged in on the iPad and waited for someone to come to the front desk for 30 minutes to no avail. After about an hour a girl showed up and said I had been booted out of the system and that it happens often, she checked me in, but put me in AFTER 5 other people that came in after me. Long story short these people didn't run 3/5 of the labs they needed to run that my doctor had sent to them so now I have to take time off of work and go back and waste another day here. Ridiculous. Their phone system is also just a joke. read more

Very easy checkin in system. Walk in or by appointment ok. There's a screen with your name and the estimate of time when you may be called but note they take your name off when they first call you and it could just be to take your paperwork or to confirm your insurance. So you may still be waiting for the lab work to be done 10-20 mins later. Otherwise clean and efficient. read more

This place was really great. Quick in and out trip to get my blood drawn. I made an appt online the night before and my entire visit took literally 15 minutes--barely even a 2 minute wait. I used to go to the one on Burdette off of Tully and King in San Jose... Holy crap! I'd sit and wait for like 40 minutes in a hot little room with at least 15 other people. Also they stabbed me a bunch of times before they could get a vein. Despite having to drive a bit further from my house, I'm definitely coming here from now on. Quick, easy, no unnecessary stabbing... Works for me! read more

Not sure what the point of an appointment is since I'm currently 45 minutes still waiting. But what is truly appalling (cause we all end up waiting in doctor offices, don't we?) is the receptionists misleading statement that "you're 2nd in line" when she really meant you're second in line to provide paperwork and then you sit back down. And the queue for lab work then begins. Or she's saying there's about an hour wait for walk ins and that's clearly not true. Or maybe it is now since many people just gave up and left. Either way, expect DMV treatment. Bring a magazine and settle in. read more

This place sucks. I made an appointment so I could go before work. I get there and the lady tells me all staff is at lunch, they don't honor appointments.? Wth? Why give me the option then? She replies " no it's a hippa violation" I work full time in a hospital, doing patient care, i know exactly what hippy is. writing my own name isn't a hippa violation! Get your facts straight. First all.. always make an appointment prior to the visit. If you don't make an appointment and expect to get a timely service... good luck. (In my case appointment didn't help at all so my review matters.) Made an appointment at 10AM but got call after 40 minutes after. Lame excuses that they are over booked with late shows in appointments. LOL. Why have an appointment process anyway? Way under staffed during busy morning, rude staff (doesn't make eye contact), lazy fat ladies talk like they own the place and telling me and folks to make an appointment when I actually did. After closing the QUEST office on Forest Ave., I went to this location for the first time this morning. 1) Understaffed Quest offices are conspicuously and terribly understaffed. One person at the front desk is insufficient to handle a packed waiting room and long lines of people trying to figure out what they need to do to get their blood work done. Lines get held up by patients who keep the front desk operator occupied with reconciling problems (insurance, doctor, logistical or otherwise) while other people are simply waiting to sign in. The employees at this office work hard and are trying to move people as fast as possible. I feel sorry for them. Quest is placing their employees in a "no win" situation. They're working so fast and can't keep up with the demand so that in the end, every patient that leaves the office is disgruntled, unhappy and angry. 2) Process Patients entering the office always endure an awkward check-in and wait experience. When walking into the office there are too many signs that try to direct and instruct patients on what to do first or where to go. In this office there were two signs in completely different locations that said, "Sign in here." On top of that, there are also the tacky pieces of paper taped on the wall that are meant to provide further notification or instruction. When a patient walks into the door, they need to be acknowledged by an employee right away. "Hi, welcome to Quest, If you have an appointment, please do this. For all other business, kindly wait in this line and we'll get to you as soon as possible." While Quest provides an online appointment system, it was obvious from my visit that other patients with appointments were not being seen in a timely manner. The woman ahead of me didn't get seen until 30 minutes after her scheduled appointment. What's even worse is that patients are not allowed to make appointments onsite. If one arrives and can't afford the wait, staff is not allowed to make an appointment for them on another day. A patient is expected to either call or go online. I think this is pretty unacceptable. Quest doesn't recognize that patients in the early morning or late afternoon are there because of work constraints. Those patients don't have 90 minutes to wait around. Quest doesn't have a contingency plan for these people suggesting other options -- such as other close labs they could walk into and try. 3) Reliability Because of under staffing and the scrambling of staff to process people, a lot of paperwork gets shuffled. In the past I have experienced a case where one of the tests in my order didn't get performed. Phlebotemists are having to complete a lot of work on the computer and are doing it as fast as they can just so they can get to the blood draw. Afterward, there's a lot of scrambling with trying to label everything and sign-off on everything. I don't blame this on the phlebotomist as much as under staffing. When leaving the facility, I'm not exactly sure if everything will get back to my doctor. I know my doctor usually has to make a call to Quest for results. The results don't get faxed right away like my doctor instructs on the sheet. Finally. An appointment helps. I showed up 20 minutes prior to my appointment for good measure. read more

So here is another review of this place. Again a joke. The staff member at the front desk just got done arguing with my wife about whether or not he called her name. The staff here turned what could have been a very bad experience into a day brightening one instead. Thanks to Rose, at the front desk, and Cecille, the phlebotomist. I showed up a little before noon, after a long wait at my doctor's office for the proper referral form and a call as I walked to the door saying the form I had been given still wasn't right - in other words, I wasn't having a good day, and wasn't inclined to be patient with anyone or anything. Rose asked if I had an appointment, and told me that the wait would be long without one. I'm sure I was snappy when I asked where the next nearest lab was, but she was so good natured, so warm, so humorous, all while being very professional, that I decided to wait. The delay wasn't nearly as long as I had been warned to expect, probably less than 20 minutes, and I got Cecille as a phlebotomist. She was, again, so good-natured, humorous, and just plain pleasant, I was laughing as we got down to business. Now, I'm maybe two years old when it comes to needles, but as well as being very nice, Cecille was also very good at her job: I barely felt the first needle-stick. Unfortunately, I was a little dehydrated, so the blood flow started too slow, and then stopped altogether. The second stick was as good as the first - I barely felt it, and had to look at my arm to know the needle was in. All the while, Cecille was pleasant, warm, and - well, you get the point. If you're concerned about waiting time, get an appointment. Even with an appointment, be ready to wait a little, just in case - remember that someone else is getting the sort of human, humane, and caring service you will get once it's your turn. read more
