I was in and out in 2 seconds. Fast, fast, fast. And no I ain't never been skeered 'o dem needles 'n 'at. Ya just gotta buck up for the sting. I lift too, so my veins are easy to find. Everytime I have something like this done, I always get a deep-voiced yinzer chick who sez, "Oooh you got big arms! Lookit dis guy!" And at the ungodly hour of 8 A.M. I needed a chuckle. So if you screw up at work, gotta pee in a cup, or need pricked for whatever test life throws at you, make an appointment here, online yet. Imagine that.

What they do wrong is when they bill you on the spot. Don't ever pay on the spot if you have insurance. Let it get billed through your insurance carrier then bill you if you owe anything. They told me today I had $88 due as "my share" of the billing. I questioned that since my blood work is usually covered, but they printed out a report showing me what was suppose to be my out of pocket. I paid the $88 but afterward checked my insurance on line. I have no co-pays with bloodwork. Now I have to wait to have this processed, deal with my insurance company and I'm sure fight to get my $88 back. Again, NEVER PAY QUEST IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE. Let the claim process first, then pay what you get billed. This strikes me as a slightly dishonest process practiced by Quest Diagnostic.

I am a registered nurse, and I occasionally order lab tests to check on my health. To use Quest…read moreDiagnostics for blood draws and laboratory tests, customers can either obtain an order from an outside physician, or they can order the tests directly through Quest Diagnostics. Quest Diagnostics offers a variety of tests in the following categories: women, men, digestive, heart, infectious diseases, STDs, and general health. I had an order for a Complete Blood Count (CBC). Quest Diagnostics accepts walk-in customers, but I highly recommend that customers use Quest Diagnostics's website to make an appointment. I made an appointment for 7:30 AM, which is when this location first opens, and a line of customers was already standing outside on the sidewalk. Because I had an appointment, I was the first customer to be seen, and the other customers had to wait. Please note also that this business currently requires customers to wear a face mask during the pandemic. One other customer did not have a face mask, and I had to give him an extra one that I had in my car. My total time spent at this business was 10 minutes, and that included standing in line to wait to check in. The phlebotomist was very friendly, efficient, and professional. She scanned my order form, and she checked my name, date of birth, and address. She immediately found my antecubital vein in my arm with her needle, filled and labeled my test tube, and bandaged my arm. She followed infection-control practices, such as wearing a mask and gloves and disinfecting my skin. At the end, she wished me a great day.
