The waiting room was empty. The computer where I registered said, "Walk-ins are welcome." It also informed me that since there was no one else there, the wait would be less than 30 min. A woman came out, said that she was the only one there and that's why an appointment was needed. She refused to conduct the procedure in the referral. In other words, she refused to work. Do NOT go here if you want to be treated respectively and patiently. Last week, I went to the doctors because I wasn't feeling well and since I had never had a blood test, they sent me here to get EVERYTHING checked. I hate needles, and the whole thing makes me very light headed and queasy. When I arrived the woman was very unfriendly and didn't even make eye contact with me. She then just said "insurance card" and I handed it to her and she ripped the doctors paperwork out of my hand. She finished that and just barked "sit". So I sat down and she proceeded to THROW everything that she needed into a bin and plopped it down in front of me. She asked me what arm I preferred and when I told her I never had my blood drawn before and that I was SUPER nervous and scared, she said "it's just a pinch" with so much attitude. This made me feel even worse. She then proceeded to very hastily and sloppily tie the rubber band on my arm and said "here's the pinch" and shoved the needle in my arm. It was all fine until I realized there were FIVE vials to be drawn. Halfway through this process, I started to black out in my chair and she said "are you alright?" as if I was inconveniencing her. When she was done, she threw all my the vials into a bin and said "If you're good, you're free to leave" and left the room. So, I sat there for a minute or two and clumsily got up, put my hoodie on, and left. I almost passed out twice on my way to the car. Not to mention the huge amount of pain I felt in my arm and still do almost a week later. My whole inner arm is still bruised. I understand that bruising is common, but this just emphasizes the matter. Like I know having blood drawn isn't ever going to be fun but as a patient, I wasn't treated with empathy or kindness. I am not asking you to bend over backwards for me. It was only 9 am. I could only imagine how the rest of the day went. As someone who works for a medical association that deals with terminal patients and end-of-life care, you should NEVER treat someone like that. You have no idea where they're coming from or what their health may be like. Thankfully, I am in good health and was just doing a routine check-up. But I could've been someone who was getting their blood drawn for the n-teenth time and was terminal and that could've been the last interaction I had with a medical professional and you were RUDE to me. I'm sure it's not a happy job and you're dealing with unpleasant people all day. But be better. Be more cognizant. Be respectful. And most importantly, just be nice. It's free and it's easy. Got my blood drawn for testing before an internship. Really easy, checked in 10 min early and got in and out in five minutes. As I write the review my appointment time technically started and I am already going home! Professional and helpful phlebotomist did a great job, no issue with the draw itself. I will return here again for future blood testing. Just make sure to make an appointment the day before, as it seems this location gets booked up by day of. read more

I had an appointment at the squirrel hill location and thier server went down. The lady there was rude, abrupt, and utterly unhelpful in the situation. Would not call the other location to hold a spot or give a heads up or anything at all really. $100,000 on the line here. At lyton Ave DARLYN G fixed everything when she could've hid behindprotocol. I have been using quest for years for frequent lab work and have never been treated so poorly by the employees as I was today. I will no longer be using this location for any care and I would not recommend it to anyone seeking labwork. There is absolutely no reason to be rude, condescending and unhelpful to your customers. read more

When you make your appointment, the app tells you nothing about having to wear a mask. When the staff finally emerges for your appointment, they won't see you without a mask. Ask for a mask? They refuse and are snippy about it. I wish I didn't have to give them even a star. read more

I've generally had perfectly fine experiences at Quest locations (I've been to three others). Unfortunately I had a very bad customer service experience at this one. I made an 8:15am appointment several weeks in advance. (The timing was important to me because I had a meeting later that morning.) I like to arrive early to appointments, but due to traffic, I ended up arriving exactly at 8:15am (I was checking the time carefully, and checked it on my iPhone as I walked into the office right at 8:15am). There were two other patients waiting in the waiting area as I arrived. When I signed in on the clipboard, I noticed that they both had 8:30am appointments. There wasn't a Quest employee within sight from the waiting room, and there is a sign posted that says that we should not knock on the door or try to get their attention; that we should just sign in and wait to be called. 10 minutes passed, and nobody appeared. Finally, at 8:25am, someone appeared, took the clipboard, and called one of the other two patients. I thought that that was a bit surprising, since I had the earlier appointment, but I didn't say anything. That patient went back, and five more minutes passed. Finally, at 8:30am, the person came back again, picked up the clipboard, and called the other person (not me) in the waiting room. At that point, I said (with a smile and a very polite voice), "Excuse me, but I had an 8:15am appointment." At that point, the Quest employee said in a surprisingly rude and aggressive voice, "You were late!!!" She snapped down the clipboard, shut the window, and disappeared with the other patient. Wow - that was one of the most memorably bad customer experience moments that I've had for multiple reasons. First, since nobody came out of the back room between 8:15am and 8:25am, I don't see how they could think that I was late. There was no justification for that. Plus, they wasted a lot of our time (not just mine, but the other two patients) by not coming out to check on us (and prohibiting us from knocking on the door to get their attention). (There were no other patients in the back of the clinic that morning before they called the other person at 8:25am.) Second, even if a customer is late, there is no excuse for snapping at them that rudely. By the time I was finally brought back for my 8:15am appointment, it was 8:37am (i.e. 22 minutes after my appointment). Since the same woman who was incredibly rude to me was about to stick a needle in my arm to draw a blood sample, I decided not to say anything. (Although in normal circumstances, I would have discussed her exceptionally rude behavior toward me.) When I got back to my office, however, I did fill out a detailed customer feedback survey with Quest, providing all of the details regarding what happened. That was over a month ago, and I have not been contacted by Quest. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. If I need to go to Quest again, I will be sure not to visit this particular location. read more

Horrible service. I'm not from U.S. so I'm not very familiar with the system, but I ordered a simple blood test from them online. Ladies who took me in were incredibly rude and unclear with their communication, sighed and rolled their eyes when I politely asked what papers they needed to see in order to take me in, and yelled at me for first not understanding which papers they needed to see. Eventually everything worked out when I started to demand for refund. I will never be back and I strongly suggest others to pay the few extra bucks and go somewhere else as well. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have NEVER been treated as poorly, or watched other patients be treated so poorly at a Quest location as I did today at the Oakland location. I work full time and arrived 5 minutes late to my 3:45 appointment on 2/12/20. There was one man in front of me sitting when I arrived. I watched the blood tech walk out into the lobby from the back, hurriedly rushing an elderly woman out. The tech then TURNS THE LIGHTS OFF in the waiting room, as myself and another patient are still sitting there. The tech then rudely called the man, then myself back, all the while complaining that "she was closed". Mind you it's 3:50 and the office is open until 4:00. She sits me across the hall in a room from the guy. The man forgot his paperwork, and was made to feel less than by the tech with extremely rude comments, and told to "come back tomorrow because I'm closed." The tech rushes him out, then rudely calls me over next. I sit my paperwork down, to which she rudely demands for my paperwork. (?) She then asks me for my insurance card. I apologized, not realizing I needed it, but explained to her that I was parked DIRECTLY across the street and that my card was in my car. I asked to run out and get it and come back in. She rudely told me no, that she was closed and to come back tomorrow. What?! I said to her, it's 3:50, you're not closed. She rudely again starts making condescending remarks about "if I were on time" and "if I were prepared" I wouldn't be having this problem. So insanely rude seeing as there were two people in front of me anyway. I kept my cool and told her she was being ridiculous and as a medical professional, she shouldn't be treating patients this way. I said in the time we'd be arguing, I could've gone out and gotten my card. It's common courtesy! Besides they were STILL OPEN even though she insisted "she was closed". I asked for her supervisor's name and then her name, both of which she refused to give me. All she had to say was "call Greentree" whatever that means. I told her I'd be filing a complaint and she rudely told me to go right ahead. Before I got anymore frustrated, I gathered my things and left. As if it couldn't get any worse, as I'm walking back down the hall towards the waiting room to leave, the tech begins YELLING DOWN THE HALL about how "I don't even need her name because she in fact has my full name, and she'd be telling her supervisor about me" and to "get out and don't come back". Simply unbelievable. I will NEVER consider this location again after how I was so rudely treated, and witnessed others being treated. I have called the complaint number, and spoken will someone to file a full complaint. I hope I hear back, and I hope action is taken against the awful tech I had to be seen by today. read more
