This Quest Diagnostics Lab was very delayed. Patients were very upset. Patients have been waiting for 30+ minutes past their appointment times. The waiting room was not very comfortable. But there was an outlet if you need to charge a device but there was only ONE. Bring a jacket, it's cold in the waiting room. They required masks but they didn't offer any. The check-in kiosks were not reliable, you need to make sure that your name appears on the TV screen that says who has checked in. I needed to check in multiple times before my name popped up. If you are even 5 minutes late, they will skip you and then you will be considered a walk in. So come on time. They will call your name when they are ready for you. It can be very quiet so pay attention. Overall...I came here because I didn't have a choice. I will check if I have other options in the future. Just be mindful to be on time and don't schedule anything immediately afterwards because it can be very delayed.

One of the BEST ways I keep track of my health (other than weight) is the results of my bloodwork, and absolutely one of the BEST places is QUEST DIAGNOSTICS! I have had the greatest success at the nearby immaculate QUEST DIAGNOSTICS (205 South Drive, Ste G, Mountain ViewCA 94040 USA ;408.202.4085; questdiagnostics.com) as a walk-in. Despite not having an appointment and possibly having an extended wait time, I walked-in and, after signing-in/logging-in (driver's license/insurance cards required to expedite the process), I waited maybe 10 or 15 minutes before hearing fantastic technician MARGIE call my name. I have had many, many blood draws over the past five decades, and maybe two or three went as smoothly as with MARGIE. She is so experienced/knowledgeable about the process, both from the paperwork (bring a hardcopy of your doctor orders, even if it many pages--I personally think it could be winnowed to fewer) and the jabbing. MARGIE was expert in every aspect, especially with her friendly/professional drawtable-side (bedside) manner. My only regret is that whatever remnants of my Tagalog have long since faded from my Subic Bay/Olongapo days & nights of authoritarian/dictator Marcos martial law 45+ years ago. As much as I look forward to returning, I already know that Cebu (and other points further South), MARGIE's area of origin, will be my focus. I highly recommend this specific QUEST DIAGNOSTICS for blood draws, especially if you can have marvelous MARGIE helping you. She/QUEST DIAGNOSTICS definitely have my highly coveted "iWheel of Approval!"

This location is VERY busy!

First and foremost. This location isn't easy to find if you aren't from the area. The signs on the buildings out front have no number and "quest diagnostics" is written so small under the two other practice names--so, it's easy to bypass... which I did on my first go around. Secondly, there is limited seating because there are soooo many folks here. Found out while I was waiting that they are pretty short staffed (regularly) and they definitely cop an attitude with folks when questioned about wait time. Ive been in a few different quest labs in my day, and I have to say this location is a bit... dingy. Carpet and seating is old... smells a little musky in the waiting area which is unpleasant. But I came here out of convenience, not comfort, so.... Meh. Be advised--no one is in the reception area to answer your questions or check you in. It is far faster to check-in on your phone if you made an online appointment than to check-in on site, so there's that. Also, don't walk-in. They always prefer appointments over walk-ins... so don't be that individual who complains about the walk-in wait time when you know what the outcome is going to be. Staff is moderately friendly--not very conversational... but they sure are quick and efficient. Can't complain there. I was taken back within 8 minutes of my scheduled appointment time and was out the door within an additional 10. Not bad.

Long wait, poor communication on wait time even with a scheduled appointment. Would not recommend unless you have an hour to spare.

I did see a lot of walk-ins come in, which made the place look crowded; however, if you have an appointment, you do get priority. Once you enter the place, check in at the kiosk, and then the lady at the reception will call your name to process your information, following which you'll be called for the test. The technicians can be a hit or miss. Some are gentle and take care, while others don't. Overall not my favorite place to be at, but not the worst experience either.

I understand it can be frustrating to deal with patients when a language barrier is involved, but frankly if you are driven to loudly yelling at a couple (with the door of the examination room OPEN), I think you fundamentally do not belong in the medical field. The way she treated them was rude, disrespectful and frankly racist. The couple maintained their composure and treated the MA with respect during the entire interaction. The couple tried to get the MA to use a translation app on their phone, which she repeatedly ignored at first. Eventually she did use the translation app with visibale irritation and lots of eye rolling. If I were in managment at this clinic I would be honestly ashamed of my employee's conduct and lack of basic human decency. Also repeatedly yelling something in a louder and angrier voice does not make it any easier for a non-english speaker to understand you. I would not reccomend going to this LabCorp location if you have any choice in the matter.

This location scammed my mom and I was there with her, so I can attest to the truth…read more I came in with my mom for a mammogram. The front desk person had a really bad attitude and was very rude to my mom (my mom's a super sweet person-volunteers with animals, like a total sweetheart). She then gave my mom the wrong forms, then yells across the office for my mom to come back to the counter. When we went to turn in the form, she was not there, so her co-worker took our forms. Upon coming back, she again yells for my mom, asking her why hasn't she turned in her forms. Both us, and her much nicer co-worker, informed her that we did submit the form, and they were, in fact, sitting right infront of her. She asked my mom if she wanted to add the extra service (extra cost). My mom said no. She asked again, and this time I said no for my mom since she seemed to just talk over my mom. We then confirmed a third time that we do not want this added service. After my mom's appointment, she received a bill for a charge for added service we denied! Along with daily bill harassment. They are relentless. We've already called multiple times about this and it's such a long process each time. They first said they'll ask the office and it'll take 15 days. We never heard back. The daily harassment continued. We called again and was told the office confirmed the added service - which is such a fallacy. They're the ones that put the charge in the first place, so of course they would confirm it. Now told they're going to look into it again, but there's not much they can do. If you've been charged my them incorrectly, I would recommend you report them to the BBB. I noticed a lot of the clients are older people or those who didn't speak English. It seems they're preying on the vulnerable. Most people will probably just pay the bill to end the daily harassment. This is just absolutely ridiculous. My poor mom!

Inside the blood draw room, there were over 100 vials of patient's blood in sealed test tubes sitting upright in racks. Hmm. I wondered why these weren't in a refrigerator. I also was surprised that there were metal Lab Specimen pick up boxes bolted to the outside wall of the building. It was very hot the day I visited the lab and the sun was beating down on the Lab Specimen pick up boxes. One said LabCorp and the other said Quest. The Phlebotomist was very prompt and came out to get me in the lobby on time. She was very sweet. I did not have a good experience with the draw, however. She used a large gauge needle without a Butterfly. It felt like she hit a nerve, or tendon when she inserted the needle. Right after the draw, I had pain right below where she inserted the needle. When I opened an closed my arm it hurt. This continued for a month. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disease and my tissues are very fragile. I should have asked the Phlebotomist to use a smaller gauge needle, but I had forgotten. I share my experience with a UCSF Phlebotomist who told me that it sounded like the LabCorp Phlebotomist was in training, because it it standard procedure to use a smaller gauge needle on a very thin arm and a butterfly is always used, as well. When I think about the 100 + test tubes of patient's blood sitting on the counter, I wondered, if the way specimens are stored at this lab location, may have something to do with all of my tests be negative. It is food for thought.

They helped manage my pain and helped make me comfortable throughout my stay. Whenever I needed anything, I used the nurse button on the remote and someone would come by promptly to help me. I know all the nurses work so hard and sometimes don't get the recognition they deserve. I have to say, these were some of the best nurses I have ever had caring for me before. Everyone was so friendly and supportive. I want to especially thank my nurses An, Yun, Louise and my CNA's Yolanda, Ricardo and Glenda. All of you played a huge part, in my recovery and went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much!

I was hospitalized here as a psychiatric patient, and one interaction has stayed with me ever…read moresince. During a difficult interaction, a receptionist taunted me by saying, "I get to leave. You don't", and then smiling at me as she turned to go. A nurse was sitting directly beside her, heard the comment, and said nothing. I don't excuse everything I said that day. I was gravely disabled and definitely being difficult to deal with. But I was also a psychiatric patient in a profoundly vulnerable position, while these were professionals working in a setting specifically designed to care for people in psychiatric crisis. There is an enormous power imbalance between staff and patients in a locked psychiatric setting. Using a patient's inability to leave as a way to taunt them was cruel and completely inappropriate. What disturbed me almost as much was watching a clinical staff member hear it and decline to intervene. I repeatedly reported this incident and submitted numerous complaints about what happened. My doctors apologized, and the nurse who witnessed it later told me he wanted to do something about it. Despite my repeated complaints, however, I never received an apology from the hospital's upper administration or, to my knowledge, any meaningful institutional acknowledgment of what occurred. I don't know if any action was even taken. But I do think that what was said was egregious on a level that something should've been done. Years later, I still remember that sentence. Psychiatric patients deserve dignity even when they are distressed, angry, or difficult. Staff working with this population should understand that better than anyone. A psychiatric hospital has an extraordinary responsibility toward the people in its care--not only to keep them physically safe, but to ensure that their vulnerability and loss of autonomy are never used to humiliate them. Two stars because the doctors were wonderful. The nurses seemed overworked and burned out. I think we should probably be doing better for our mental health patients than intentionally inflicting emotional distress on them.

She instructed me to make an appointment by phone, so I felt confident about coming in. However, the actual visit was a completely different experience. The testing site was an RV with a bathroom inside, and that's where I had to provide my urine sample. I also needed a hair test, but I was concerned that the technician did not collect the hair properly. Instead of taking a sample close to the scalp, she simply cut off a section of hair from the ends, which ended up causing me to repeat the test later on. I also realized that the same woman who answered the phone was the technician performing the collections, handling the paperwork, and processing payments. She was essentially a one-person operation. I genuinely felt bad for her because she was clearly overwhelmed, and the scheduling and flow of appointments were poorly managed. I had a 10:00 AM appointment but didn't leave until around 1:00 PM. After waiting about an hour, a person who had arrived earlier but hadn't been able to provide a urine sample was allowed to go before me once he was ready. Then another individual who had an earlier appointment but arrived late was also seen before me. By that point, I had already been waiting approximately 2 hours despite arriving early for my scheduled appointment. The woman working there was kind and informative, but the long wait times and disorganized appointment process made for a very disappointing experience. I hope they can improve staffing and scheduling because there is definitely room for a much better customer experience.

He immediately responded and told me he could make time at the end of his work day to help me do the ultrasound (knowing my condition). Whats really great is that I could pay out of the pocket at a great price without worrying about my medical insurance limitability, which most places will not take. On the same day, I drove to his office in the afternoon and met him. I told him about my worries and he was just so understanding, comforting and told me he would do his best to find any issues and would even provide a note to emergency in case he found something that needed immediate attention.
