I had a very upsetting experience at the Quest Diagnostics location at 7891 W Tropical Pkwy in Las Vegas. I checked in for my 8:10 AM appointment and waited while monitoring the patient queue board, going in and out of my car to ensure I didn't miss my name. At some point my name disappeared from the board even though other 8:10 names were still listed. When I went inside to ask about it, staff would not explain what had happened for approximately 10 minutes. An employee named Eric eventually stated that he had called my name three times and that I would have to check in again and be placed on the standby list. When I calmly asked whether an exception could be made since I had been actively monitoring the board and waiting nearby, he told me to "lower my voice" even though I was not raising it, and then closed the door while I was still trying to understand what to do next. After another wait, he came out and waved me back, which made me believe I would finally be seen. Instead, he informed me that it was now 9:02 AM and implied that because I had mentioned wanting the test done before 9:00 AM, they would not perform the test. When I attempted to clarify that my doctor had only recommended testing before 9 AM, he dismissed me and said he had other patients. This interaction left me extremely upset and in tears. The lack of clear communication and the dismissive manner in which I was treated were unacceptable for a medical facility. I hope management reviews this situation and addresses both the communication process and the level of professionalism shown to patients. read more

Janice was amazing!!!! Her skills were on point and I'm a hard stick. Very quick, thorough and painless. She stuck me in a vein that nobody usually attempts unless they are very good because you can't see it. You have to feel the vein. Only issue with this facility, was it smelt like poop inside. Maybe someone had an accident. I heard someone ask for room deodorizer. Hopefully, it doesn't smell like that all the time. I had blood work to be done and luckily I was able to get an appointment on short notice. Made an appointment through their app and was able to check in via the app as well. So easy :) It was NYE and they closed early at 12:00 pm so they were pretty busy. I was called about 15-20 after my appointment time. The young lady that took care of me was nice and drew blood without any issues. I got my results online a day or so later. Interior is clean and spacious. Parking is plentiful but can get busy depending on the time of day. Highly recommend. read more

When I was leaving my house that morning, I almost forgot my form and had to go back! Luckily, I was still able to make my appointment on time! When I arrived at this Quest Diagnostics location, in Northwest Centennial Hills, off of the 95/Buffalo exit, I was able to check-in through a text message that Quest Diagnostics had automated to my mobile phone. Once I checked in, I received another text message that informed me to go inside the building. When I walked inside Quest Diagnostics, I was the only person there! One of the team members at Quest Diagnostics was outside in the main entrance area already asking for me! This was one of the best experiences I've had a Quest Diagnostics. Update- after going to this location for many years, today's visit will be the last.. Today's visit was for #23 and #24 surgeries. Someone that has lymphedema in both arms and one leg I specifically ask for a butterfly when I have my blood drawn.. Today your phlebotomist not only wouldn't do it, but had the nerve to tell me that the regular needle and butterfly are the same size.. I've had my lymphedema under control for over a year, and today my arm is now swollen and I'm back in a compression and already scheduled a PT appt.. im so disappointed in the treatment I received and will do everything in my power to find a different lab all together.. Between it taking 4 months to get a bill straightened out that was on your end, your company has gone downhill and I wouldn't recommend you to anyone read more

I had heard of Quest before for many years but never needed to use them. Previously, all my lab work was able to be done within the same medical group or facility of my doctor. However with my new doctor, the blood work was ordered to be done here and I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it was to schedule an appointment online, checking in at the kiosk or through text/smartphone upon arrival, and even as a walk-in patient. Every staff member I've interacted with was excellent - skilled and friendly. I did have a nasty bruise from where the needle drew blood but I think that's just my vein's fault. The only feedback I can offer is if they could lower the volume on the ads on the TV in the waiting room, it's very loud no matter where you're sitting. Big shoutout to Grace for taking care of us as the last patient of the day, we really appreciated her professionalism and empathy and helping to minimize our stress. read more

I thought that mid morning would be slower but it was to be honest anything but! I don't think this place has a slow period! I went on Thursday to get a blood and urine analysis for an annual employment physical and it was an efficient visit. The first thing you notice is that there are no receptionists in the lobby, it is kiosk only. This can provide problems if you have an issue with your appointment upon arrival. It would be tough to get someone to talk to you. They have TVs that have a list of the names that have signed in, but they in no way tell you the order in which you will be seen, which is confusing. I arrived at Quest Diagnostics and was checked in by 11:55 AM, a full five minutes before their posted closing time of noon. I sat for about 3-4 minutes when a staff member came out and told me they were closed and refused to see me. I explained that I arrived and checked in before noon, even showing her my phone. Despite this, she insisted I had just arrived at noon and argued instead of providing service. It was incredibly frustrating to be dismissed despite following their hours and procedures. If they're open until noon, patients arriving before then should be seen. No one was waiting, i was the only one in the lobby. This kind of treatment reflects a serious lack of respect for patients and poor customer service. My time is also valuable, sending people away before closing time is not acceptable, not good customer service. read more

Love this location because it's right down the street and they open early so if you're fasting, you don't have to wait so long to eat. Everything runs smoothly if you make a reservation first online. Terrible experience. The phlebotomist who worked with me, the leader of the site, was rude and really unkind. When I would ask her questions she initially ignored me, non answering what I was asking, then when she decided to answer, her answers where short sharp, could and just like this "yep" or "nope" I felt very mistreated. When she put the needle on my arm, she didn't do quick and without much care leaving a very painful bruce. Terrible, terrible experience! This is the location in Summerlin. read more

The centennial location isn't what it used to be, all the phlebotomist used to have great customer service. I don't expect smiles, but please don't make it seem like it's an inconvenience that you have to work here, cause I rather not be there either. The rule used to be after the second stick another phlebotomist takes over. Apparently she was determined to find something. Plus side, having an appointment gets you in and out fast. Please hire someone to clean your bathrooms. It felt like I was giving a urine sample in a road side gas station bathroom. There is no where to set down a urine cup other than the piss covered floor. I wish I could give them 0 stars. I went in last week for a standard glucose tolerance test while pregnant. I arrived at 530 for my 540 appointment. The phlebotomist that called me back didn't double check my doctor's orders & gave me a 100g Glucola drink instead of 75g per drs order. After completing only 2 draws after ingesting the drink, she told me I was done. I told her since I was given the 100g glucola if I should be drawn a third time (standard procedure) & she said no. I asked if she could confirm with a supervisor (I know that 100g glucola is for a 3 hour test & a total of 4 blood draws, a fasting, 1 hour after drink, 2 hours after drink and 3 hours after drink). She told she WOULD NOT ask anyone because the doctor's orders only ask for 2 draws - but those same orders only called for 75g glucola but she didn't bring that up at all. After raising her voice and several minutes, she finally brought in a supervisor. The supervisor showed me the orders and said that only a total of 3 draws total were ordered, so I pointed out that on those same orders only 75g of glucola was ordered. She apologized on behalf of the phlebotomist and said she would call my doctors office to explain what happened and ask for an updated order so my results wouldn't be affected negatively. She asked me to stay another hour for the final draw, which I was happy to do. If you've ever been pregnant and taken this test, you know it's so difficult to fast so many hours and then be drawn over the course of 3 hours while starving I left the lab after completing a fourth draw and received a phone call shortly after leaving from this lab. It was the phlebotomist saying that she had spoken with my doctor's office and "they said they're not allowed to order 3 hour glucose tests, but the notes on my test results would be updated to reflect the 100g of glucola" I got my results back, all were normal expect that 1st draw after the drink. It was elevated by 6 points. My doctor's office aid quest NEVER called them as they would've updated the order right away and now I have to go through another gtt because of Quest's negligence. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION OR EVER COME BACK. The STAFF and supervisor have both proven to be incompetent and frankly, flat out liars. Save yourself time and go to ANY OTHER LOCATION. read more

I had checked to make an appointment and all slots were takin for the morning so I took the chance to show up as a walk in and it was faster then making an appointment and checking in, then waiting to be called back. When I was looking at the appointment scheduling for different quest locations online, they didn't have appointments available early in the morning which was my preference. So I decided I would try and show up at 7 AM as soon as they open. I arrive just before seven and there was a small line outside the door kind of like the DMV. I was a little worried, but the signing process went very quickly. But the best part was the staff. It was early in the morning, but every single person had a smile on their face. They were friendly, and joking around. I'm in a better mood just by spending a little bit of my morning with such positive people. I was sent to Quest by my physician and although they were very efficeint at setting up the appointment and treated me well while I was there, they completeoy dropped the ball getting the report to me. I have NEVER seen my blood report, and have to wait for days to see it from my Physician. People I know have a mixed success rate themselves from them in getting the results to them. Quest also makes it impossible to talk to them about the results over the phone. If there was somewhere else to go for blood work, I would certainly go there. read more

Pro-tip: do not rely on walk-ins, make an appointment to get the best chance possible, you will not get called quickly. I was in a bind and needed a drug screening stat. I came in at 6 in the morning as a walk-in, and expected to be there for hours like I was the afternoon prior. The lab tech named Debbie helped me sign in when I was having trouble and accommodated me even when they hit a snag with the awful technology, she was very pleasant to talk to, provided high quality care, and basically was a light in what was a pretty awful experience otherwise. I will now be able to submit my paperwork on time. Negative stars for the app, the website, the appointment technology, the lack of a front desk, the kiosks that don't let you sign in and make your name disappear without and having to be there for hours on end, but 5 stars for the great staff! read more
