I had blood work done this early afternoon at Labcorp inside Summerlin Hospital Medical Center for my kidney doctor. When I first walked in, I handed the front desk lady my paperwork and was told I needed to fill out the registration. I asked where to do that, and apparently the registration was on an upright iPad near the front. Silly me for missing it. A lot of the people in the waiting room noticed how rude the interaction felt, and several people even commented to me about it afterward. I honestly tried to give grace because she may have been stressed or overwhelmed, and I know healthcare can be difficult. But the reason I'm writing this review is because of Dana, the blonde phlebotomist in the back. She was absolutely wonderful. I hadn't had much water that morning because of an earlier appointment, so finding a vein was a little difficult, but Dana stayed patient, calm, kind, and professional the entire time. She talked with me, joked around a little to help me relax, asked how my day was going, and truly made the whole experience better. Dana has such a beautiful soul and gave me one of the best experiences I've ever had getting blood drawn. Employees like her deserve recognition because they genuinely make a difference in people's days. So while the front experience may not have been ideal, Dana completely turned it around for me. Had an appt shower up 10 min min early woman at front was rude to every customer even co-workers. One woman checked-in waited to be told they couldn't perform test to go elsewhere no apology very rude. Then I waited 45 min to be told the same and treated rudely as well. If you know you can't perform a test why check them in take Info and make them wait and complain how busy you are. She told everyone how busy and behind they were. Do not go here! On their website is says open on Saturday. You set an appointment online and you received email confirmation. But when you get there on time, THE BUILDING IS CLOSE!!!! Looking for a Labcorp that is open on a Saturday, I stumbled across this location. It closes at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, but I had enough time to do a quick drop-off at Labcorp. This Labcorp is located in Summerlin, next to the Summerlin Hospital in the Medical Centers. You'll locate Labcorp on the first floor, off to the left, as soon as you walk inside the medical building. Check-in was easy. This place is my go to if I have the availability for an appointment. The hospital is clean and professional. The unit itself is also very clean and efficient . It was easy to check in. Ashley helped me check in and also did my blood work . She was excellent in both areas of expertise, I'm not surprised people ask her by name. The test went fine. The problem is that getting the results is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! They never post the results on the website (which is a piece of outdated garbage that no one apparently maintains). Their customer service DOES NOT EXIST. You can write them online, call their local number and leave a message, send smoke signals. It doesn't matter. They never pick up a phone or respond to a message or email. Never! First timing using Labcorp, I use quest. But I was already in the same building and they gave me a referral for them so I tried them. What a great experience I had! I went today around 11:35AM, I was greeted as I walked in. The lady that was working who greeted me first was so nice and helpful. The lady who took my paper and my blood test (Ashley) she was so nice and professional. We had a conversation that was just so hilarious. My wife and I have found Labcorp the be the easiest place to have blood work done. Appointments are easy to get. We have never had a long wait and often get in early. we recently moved to Las Vegas and normally we are with Kaiser, so I'm not sure how all the different places were to get bloodwork. The first place my doctor sent me to was quest, which was horrible. The second time he sent me to LabCorp and it was so much better. Really nice people, nobody had face or neck tattoos like at quest. I have been going to LabCorp for over 10 years and this was by far the WORST! We walked in and they said their computers were down and they could only see us if we had our orders printed out. She said the computers have been down for days, but nobody could call OR email us this information. Luckily we had our emails from our doctor with our blood draw orders. Such rude ladies at the front. My husbands blood draw went good, but the lady that drew mine was bad. I told her I donate blood every 3-4 months using my left arm. She insisted on drawing from my right because of the way I was sitting. She drew my blood from my forearm (never had that before) and my vein blew up, once again never had that happen. HUGE bruise and a lot of pain following this appointment. She inserted the 2nd needle through my wrist, I don't get it? I have great arm veins and have no idea why she felt the need to draw this way. I will NEVER go to this location again and probably will switch lab companies. read more

They are very professional and have friendly, nice employees. Parking at the Summerlin Hospital site can be difficult at times.

I needed routine blood work and took my chances as a walk-in. This is the facility connected with Summerlin Hospital. I am not the easiest patient as I tend to syncope, or fainting. I mentioned that to Ashley when I checked in and she said "thanks - no problem". A few weeks ago at another facility I had been poked 4 times by 2 different techs with no success. I asked her if were a tech and she said "yes". I asked if she could take care of me. Again, "yes". They have a table to lie down for just these things. I asked her to let me know when she had found the vein. She said "already did"! It was 100% painless and the human attention is something I really, really valued. I would recommend Ashley anytime and will ask for her in the future. read more

Love the staff here. If you don't have an appointment, like anything else,expect to wait. They're good at what they do and I've seen them take unnecessary abuse from people with zero patience. I called several offices because I needed to drop off a specimen that required me to drop off in 24 hours. I called to see if they were open and the message says" our team members are busy or our office is closed" what a stupid message when you are trying to find out specifically if they are closed because of Presidents Day! I am 62 and disabled... I can't repeat the darn test and I don't have the ability to ride all over town to check if an office is open! One would think they could come up with a better voicemail that basically says hey we are either busy or closed! Take a guess because we are too lazy or stupid to fix our voicemail.... If one calls Customer Service you would think you could get a better answer than that when your heart test depends on it! This is who I am to trust for my medical testing... a place that can't answer the phone, or put an accurate message on their voicemail , do I trust the internet that says we are open or the maybe we are busy or closed message? read more

I needed to have my yearly blood work done for my GP so I looked online to make a reservation. The Labcorp office to which I have gone in the past has been closed and this new office opened in the Summerlin Hospital Medical offices in the building north of the hospital area. Walk in the building's front door, turn left, and it's a few doors down the hallway on the ground floor. The first time slot available for an appointment was 8:30 AM which I thought was late even though I looked a month and a half in advance. I wasted time at home before going over only to find one person in the office waiting to have blood work done. When I signed in, I noticed that there had only been about a dozen people from 7 AM until I got there at 8:15 and none of them checked "has appointment." I could have gone earlier and had little wait. After all the check in stuff, I was taken in and the blood draw was done. I was out of there in less than ten minutes. The staff was very friendly--a nice change from the counter worker at the old location. Since this is closer to home, there was no wait, the staff was very friendly, I have to give them 4 stars. Labcorp's recently updated check in process is awful. I arrived 30 minutes before they opened because getting an early appointment is impossible. I was the second person in line so when the doors opened I was one of the first to the check in kiosk. The kiosks were all close and we had for wait to the person behind the desk to tell us to just touch the screen. I started to check-in but I was made to select an appointment and the only dates that came up were a week from today??? I asked the person at the desk and she said just pick what ever date comes up so I did and finished the check in process and a received a text so I sat down to wait. After 5 people were called ahead of me who also did not have an appointment I went to the desk and was told I wasn't in the list. Needles to say I was not happy. I was eventually checked in and almost 2 hours after arriving my blood was drawn. Unfortunately I can't go to Quest, insurance, so I am stuck going to this totally unorganized lab with an awful check in system. IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD. read more

I made an appointment for bloodwork & urinalysis at this location on a Saturday. Upon arrival I immediately proceeded to the self check-in kiosk. The kiosk quoted me the wait time of 37 minutes. I was curious about the wait time, being that I made an appointment. I went up to the reception desk & politely asked if there was a different check-in process for customers with appointments. The Wfemale technician with tattoos all over her arms was rude & sarcastic with her reply. She mocked me by saying "you have an appointment? Where?! Is it your doctor's office, is it at a different location?" First of all, she needs customer service training. Secondly, she needs an attitude adjustment; and learn the fundamentals on treating people with respect. read more

I had an appointment at LabCorp and in summerlin Nevada on 8, 20, 24 1:30 appointment arrived early. Waited about 30 minutes. Was called to front desk hand it paperwork which was two orders from two different doctors to the assistant at the front desk. She told me that she was only going to do one of them because both doctors ordered the same test. I said no because it's two different doctors one. I have an appointment in 2 days. Tell me why this sent only one test result back and it went to the doctor that I see next month and a senior citizen and disabled I don't drive. I take Uber or Lyft to my doctor's offices and for blood work now I have to reschedule blood work but it will not be at LabCorp. It will be at quest and my doctor rescheduled my appointment for today because my blood work wasn't ready at LabCorp unfair to me and I don't know what gave her the right to make that decision. Which doctor she was going to send my results to and how many orders she was going to put in just pure lazy and feel like typing The extra typing and the phlebotomist smell like cigarette smoke made me sick to my stomach. I used to love going to the location within the Spring Valley Hospital MOB (Las Vegas) but clearly they have more business than they can handle. What used to be in and out in 15 minutes is now a 1.5 hour visit. Their staff is very nice but they don't have enough people working starting when the doors open (there was already a line of 10 people at 6:50A for a 7A start time). The worst part is I had my labs done 3 weeks ago today and still don't have the full report back, I was forced to go to an ER to get what I needed due to their lack of appropriate turn around times. I can appreciate sending labs to a 3rd party takes a few days longer but 3 weeks is unacceptable and dangerous. I hate the thought of switching to Quest since my labs are all in one place but waiting 3 weeks for results is just unsafe. My next step is to identify what governing agency oversees this facility so I can place a formal complaint as their location needs to be reviewed, they are clearly not in line with the standard of course. read more

I have been to this location several times for lab work. I preface this review with the acknowledgement that I am providing 5 stars when I definitely feel like the location is understaffed, and the staff could be a little more attentive and friendly. That being said... The 5 signs advising No Cell Phone use and people are still loudly holding meetings and discussing their pregnancy issues like others need to hear it... tell me that the staff here likely deals with a lot f entitled trash causing some of their pent up frustrations. I have usually walked in and logged in without an appointment, and I was in and out within 30 minutes. The technicians have always done a great job collecting needed specimens and have always been super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely suggest appointments if you are going in the mornings or other known busy times. I personally struggle with the LabCorp Online site... it's clunky, it's terrible, and it tells me I have an account already, but when I click forgot password, it says no account with that email exists. read more

Just went to LabCorp for blood test and for the second time had to call billing because someone with the same name different state has past due account spent hour with customer service ,no help, told me they may be able to override it(not fix override it, again !!! Not correct override so I can go through this again next time after fasting for twelve hours, like sure that sounds great ,,,four hours standing by at Quest labs seems really good now...note to LabCorp two people with same common name and birth date across the whole country isn't impossible read more

Came here early on Saturday morning a little bit after they opened so the wait was very minimal. I like that it is hidden inside a large medical office building attached to Summerlin Hospital but I did walk past it while trying to find it and had to double back. Maybe a little more obvious signage would help. The front desk clerks(2) were able to help with a few questions I had but I will agree with most of the prior reviews, customer service skills are a bit lacking with friendliness but they did know their jobs and everything was quite professional when it came to check-in and things about billing. The one thing I really did not like was the check in machine was out and open to everyone that wanted to take a peek at my personal information so that was not very cool at all. I had to use the book I had to hide it from other people. Maybe they can invest in a couple of side shields as it might make other patients feel more comfortable. I got my routine blood work done and had Jennifer(the labtech I guess) draw it and she seemed really great and quick. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes without an appointment. Man the front desk girl is loud and rude when people ask her for assistance. She won't help no one unless they have used the kiosk and if you try and ask she puts them on blast so loudly but when she calls you up to help you she's soo quiet calm and nice. Whenever I have to get lab work done I always come to this location. Each experience I've had here, the staff has always been super nice and the facility is clean. When I get my blood drawn, I never even feel them put the needle in my arm! Also, the wait times aren't too bad for walk-ins.
