I wish there was a way to give this place a negative amount of stars because it is literally one of the worst businesses I've ever came into contact with in my entire life. They have zero customer service, and it doesn't matter if you make an appointment or not because you're not going to get in any time near that time. You'll be lucky if you get in 2 hours after your appointment, and they barely offer any appointment times unless you want one two weeks in advance. Oh and if you're a walk-in, it doesn't matter how long you've been waiting because they'll randomly come out and tell you that they've decided they're not going to take any more walk-ins for the day, and that may happen at 8:30am after you've already been waiting for a half hour and you've missed work. Don't fill your sample bottles too full, but don't fill them not high enough either because either way they'll have some ridiculous process they want you to go through to make it perfect because they don't want to do anything themselves. This place is a complete joke and I'm going to be calling my insurance company and asking them to be removed from the policy. Every single experience I've had at this location has been negative. No one likes going for blood work, but if your doctor sends you it is time to put out your arm and hold your breath! I have gone to Quest Diagnostics on Sheridan Street for many years as my insurance requires it. To save time, I made an appointment which was very easy to do on the Quest website. Tuesday morning came around and I had some spare time so I thought I would just stop in and it wasn't busy. The waiting room was half full so I signed in and my abbreviated name appeared on the screen and said my estimated wait time 18 minutes. Perfect! Less than 10 minutes later I was called to the room. The technician confirmed my information and insurance. Then she placed the rubber strip on my arm and quickly took my blood. The experience was good and I barely had any pain. If I could change anything it would be the check in process as it creeps me out knowing how many people use the tablet to sign in. I think they should add a hand sanitizer dispenser near the tablet so guests can clean their hands afterwards. I am sure the tablet has tons and tons of germs on it! Would give 0 stars if possible. Went in on a Saturday as a walkin as no appointment availability was showing up for the next month. Closing time was 10:30. I arrived at 9:15. No one was available at the front to answer questions but you could see the staff chatting and laughing in the back. 10:00 a woman comes out saying if you're a walk-in even if checked in, you will not be seen as the 3 employees were too busy socializing. The doctor instructed us to get labs right away for my daughter. We walked in at 3:12 pm and we're told they had no availability even though the location doesn't close until 4pm. There were 3 ppl in the waiting room. When I tried to explain that my daughter needs these results right away the lady said "we already told you no". if you have an appointment to this location enter inside immediately when you arrive and check in or they will put you in walk in mode . They did not allow me to check in when I arrived. You better check in and wait outside. These people here are understaffed. No directions on what to do here. No sanitizer or wipes anywhere in the waiting room. People started coming at 7:07 and they were asked to come another day because there was no way to fit in the high amount of appointments into their working schedule. I really like the staff at Quest; However I needed an appointment ASAP and the next one was 2 weeks away so I went in as a walk-in. I arrive at 6:45 which was lucky as I was not turned away and allowed to go inside (max. walk in was 10). After waiting 2 1/2 hours I was finally seen (only because out of the 10 walk-ins 5 had left in frustration). Just before I was called I looked up Labcorp on my phone and realized there were at least two labcorps near by and I could get right in with an appointment. The people who work there are good, but they waaay overbook appointments and are seriously understaffed. You might want to bring your own chair, because there are fewer chairs than patients. If I could give 0 I would. This place is ridiculous! From the staff/nurses down to the kiosk machine. I came here BEFORE 6 AM. I was the 2nd person in line. I came for a drug test for my employer. It's a Saturday so the time window is limited. HOW WOULD I KNOW TO BE SEEN, I MUST LIE TO THE SYSTEM. That doesn't make any sense! I followed the instructions based on my needs & HONESTY. I stepped out of line to ask for assistance & the lady up front told me "Well you have to go back in line to do it again but this time lie" so I went from the 2nd to the f**king 10th! I'm livid as hell. Why didn't the nurse scream this in the beginning when she opened the doors, this place has no organizational or effective communication skills. I'm already upset I was here on Friday & was told to come back & this is how y'all treat your patients??? I don't know if this is the type of service Quest Diagnostics gives or just this location but it needs to be improved! The 1st person got out within 15 minutes & I'm still here...over an hour now. This place needs to instruct clearly for newcomers. A lot of people didn't know you must check in first, you must lie, and you must do all of these steps & backflips to be seen. There was no one at the desk greeting anyone first off. When we finally got taken back, I was asked to take a breathing tests and not told why or what it was for, even though I asked, twice. When the technician took my blood she pulled the needle out too fast. I was told to drink some lemonade product and again, when asked what it was for, there was no explanation. I needed to provide a stool sample and was given a bag to take home that had no written instructions, nor was I given any verbal instruction. My name was not even on the containers provided. Just bring the sample back and drop it off. My husband was there as a witness. I brought the bag back the same day at 3:30pm. There was no one at the reception counter. I waited, waited, then knocked really hard on the window. Some doctor came out and I put the sample, in the bag, on the counter. He claimed he could not take it as they needed to order tests and that I should sign in, so I did, but was very unhappy at this point. Kindof pissed actually. It should not have taken 15 minutes to drop off a sample. A lady (black) called my name and took me back, looked in the bag and said what happened to the other sample container, I explained I was not given one, nor was I given instruction as to what to do with the other bottles. She called the tech that gave me the stuff (mexican lady)and said that I received no instructions. The tech yelled quite loudly, "Yes I did giver her instructions". I said no you did not, and she continued to argue with me. The new tech asked if I took a breath test, I said yes I took 2. She said, no you only took one. No I took 2. One blue bag, one pink bag. Still no explanation as to why. Then she said I needed to add the stool sample to the 2 other bottles of chemicals I was given but I could not do it in the office, I had to go outside. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME. If I had been given any form of instruction, I would have followed it but I was not. This is going to be my Yelp review and the review I give my doctors office who referred me. Absolutely incompetent. If I have to go back for any test, it will not be there, ever again. read more

When i finally reached the clerk she said i did not sign in and asked me to do so and at that point indicated where to do so. When i finally signed in the message stated that i arrived over 10 minutes late and was now considered as a walk in and may wait over an hour. I kindly approached the clerk and tried to explain that i was not over 10 minutes late but she cut me off. I asked her if i could finish speaking but she stated that she already knew what i was going to say. Once inside no one greeted me or made me feel comfortable. Had an appointment for 2:30 for labs...nothing fancy. I came and signed in...waiting for 30 min and they still haven't even called me to the front window to complete registration. They have one person at the front who is on the phone and hasn't been signing people in. This location is terrible. The one on Washington has me in and out in about 15 min. Go to that location of you have a choice. 1.5 hrs later and still waiting. Apparently they needed additional info from my physician so they faxed it: the lab didn't receive the fax. Asked to fax again...did this 3 times and it didn't go through. Finally asked if they had paper in the machine and they didn't. This was a very frustrating lab visit. read more

Just sitting here in a Quest Diag center 30 min of wait with a computerized appointment. Then come to find out the letter that the doctor gave me wasn't good enough. They have to fax it or do it via there digital system. I about had it so close to canceling everything and forget the surgery. not like insurance is going to cover it anyway. The reason I'm giving a poor review is because the website list the incorrect fax number the correct fax number is 954-985-2630 and after spending two hours trying to get my request faxed over I had to leave because only two out of five request were sent successfully by my doctors office as everyone there is new. The front desk knows the fax number is wrong but says their IT department just hasn't updated it. I said well how do you get all your faxes she says just like you on the phone struggling for hours trying to get it straightened out. Horrible. The front desk staff was nice. read more

Of course by this time, I was only one out of several people who left because of the long wait. Don't go here without an appointment, and even then be prepared to wait for a very long time. We all agree that these testing centers are notorious for having rude staff and long waits... I went in at 7:15 (they are open 7:00-4:00) without an appointment anticipating a long wait...I brought work to do, simple. I waited about 45 min. My blood draw was virtually painless and took like 3min. I've been in doctors' offices with an appointment and waited over an hour! If you go in right when they open without an appointment, then you will probably be done within an hour, depending on the crowd. The staff are so friendly and caring! They are aware that it's not a pleasant experience....It makes me sad when people walk in and are so rude because the "wait is too long." The staff can't help it if you didn't make an appointment and then expect to be in-and-out....I would recommend this testing center. Just make sure to go right when they open! Their "score board" TV with wait times is grossly inaccurate. If you walk in you will be bumped by an appointment person thus adding to your time that changes erratically between 20-40 minutes. Website shows wait times as well so add another 30-40 minutes to that. Appointment wait times are still significantly high and are not exactly followed. It just puts you ahead of walk in people with a slim margin. read more
