I have never done a walk-in appointment at Quest Diagnostics before, but today I did. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was actually; I was expecting it to be much worse! I literally arrived, checked in at the kiosk, and I had an appointment scheduled with about a 10-minute wait. The machine acted a little funny when I first tried to scan my ID when I chose the Express check-in option, but I adjusted the card a bit, and it scanned the front and back with no problem after that. Once it scanned my ID, it had me choose and accept the next available time and gave me a choice about whether I wanted to wait in the lab center waiting area or get a text alert that tells me when to return to the center if I preferred to step out. I thought that was nice, especially for longer wait times. Luckily my wait time was super short. My tech was Jerika, and she was awesome! I actually enjoyed talking to her even though I wasn't looking forward to getting my blood drawn at all. She also gave me the option to do either the blood or urine test first, which was actually helpful since I didn't even know there was a urine test component for my prescribed labs. So I was able to chug a lot of water before both, lol! Jerika was also a really skilled phlebotomist, and I barely felt anything during the actually blood draw itself. I was literally in and out of my appointment within 15 minutes. I seriously was not expecting that at all! I arrived at 12:20pm, was seen at 12:30pm, and was out by 12:45pm! I wanted to mention this from a previous visit too that I forgot to write about--Melia, back when I saw her last year, was a great tech too! This Quest location is MUCH improved over past visits. The contactless check-in worked well, and my wait time was under 10 minutes. The phlebotomist was friendly and efficient. My three-star review today was due to the TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE condition of the restroom. I was forced to visit their facilities due to needing to provide a urine sample. Literal nightmare! Paid out of pocket for my labs, came 15 minutes early prior to my appt. All that for May to tell me that they couldn't find the labs I paid for. Instead of taking 5 minutes out of her day to actually look, she told me to reschedule. How does that make sense? I had the reference number and everything but they magically couldn't find it in their system. The same system that successfully charged me. Unprofessional, wish I read the reviews before coming to this location. Called another location and got scheduled and they were able to find my SELF PAY PURCHASED labs without a hitch. Ridiculous! Rude receptionist. After waiting 2.5 hrs. i understand you have to wait when you "walk in" but when the check in kiosk says 30-60min, that is doable, but not over 2 hrs. Then you say walk ins are not urgent, obviously it is if we were willing to wait and came straight from the MD office who ordered the test for same day. If we could have made an appt, we would have. There is a difference between 60 min and 2.5 hrs. Ended up at Gibson site and was so much more accommodating and nicer staff. 1st and last time going to this Quest on boulder. ZERO stars. Staff....work on your attitude and empathy esp when patients arent feeling well in the 1st place. read more

Made an appointment to have bloodwork done before my surgery. Had blood drawn and asked them if they were billing DOL, they assured me they were. Went for follow up through my Dr. The Dr asked where the rest of my results were. I told them I handed them the work orders. They asked if I did a urine test I said they only did 1 vial of blood. I was informed that Quest didn't do the other 3 tests on the order form. I had to hurry to get another appointment so I could bloodwork done BEFORE my surgery. So another trip to Quest. Agitated that I had to waste my time because they can't read. Again making sure they are billing the correct party and again I'm reassured they were. Yesterday I get my EOB from my insurance that they were billed. Call Quest to find out what the he'ck' they're doing. After waiting 27 min to talk to someone I finally get this rude girl. Raising her voice at me and keeps telling a different story. She then tells me they were not aware of my DOL case and they don't have their billing address. I gave her the address then proceeded to ask her if she needed my case number and she said she did. I told her the number and she says "yep, that's what we have. Then she asks for the injury date, i tell her and again she says we have that. If they didn't know they were supposed to charge DOL then why would they have all the other info??? I told her they need to refund my insurance and bill properly. She tells me I need to contact my insurance company and they need to request a refund. Why do I need to be inconvenienced AGAIN when AGAIN they made the error? I asked to speak with the office manager and she says hang on I'll transfer you. Next thing I know I'm being asked about the service I received from this girl. So basically, she hung up on me. I did call back, waited another 25 minutes and finally talked to the Manager. They could care less about inconveniencing the clients. They're incompetent to read orders. This place is a joke. Told the manager I won't return to any Quest. He then threatens me with "if you go anywhere else, make sure they're in network." I'll pay the extra to not be treated like my time doesn't matter. With customer service like this, I can't trust them putting anything in my body. They may forget to use clean utensils. Good riddance Quest! read more

It's scary when people need to remove your blood for medical reasons. Doctors need to look at our blood to see if we're healthy. Quest Diagnostics is a good place to get your blood removed. Nope !!! Reshaping is one thing I came in w coffin shaped nail she drilled off the tips of my nails without my permission because I said I wanted them shortened the standard amount for the two weeks which is typically always been covered in the cost of a Phill and then she wanted to charge me because she decided to take her drill and chop the tips off my nails. I did not ask her to do that nor did I give her permission so it is not my fault that she needed to reshape my nails which is why I got so pissed. Had she not have done that there would've been no reshaping so it does not make sense nor did she have permission to do that to my nails. read more

Even watched one tech pull her friend in when she openly said her appointment wasn't for another 2 hrs. While the rest of us sit here and wait??? Not to mention staff is beyond rude. If I could give a negative to the company and this site I would. First to get an appointment takes about a month or more to schedule. Today I arrive prior to opening and was listed 1st on the walk in list, but I got jumped and had to continue to wait. I finally had to say something. So the journey started at 6:40AM and I am still waiting at 8:15AM as I write this review. As a company goes this one needs to make some changes, but I guess they think since they are the only game in town the customers have to suck it up. They have one electronic check-in station which many of the elderly have trouble using. Only having 1 check-in station delayed the entry of the patients. I need to talk to my 2 insurance companies to look into using some other diagnostic company to create competition and help improve the service. read more

Use the kiosk to input your info, and then you get a listing of available appointment times. Once you get brought back to the draw room, the process is super easy. The way patients are treated needs to be addressed . It's not all the employees there but , over the years that I used to go there it seemed I saw more rudeness than anyone should have . All they have to do is their job but , they make this an unpleasant experience for those that use this facility . I reported to other staff members one of the employees who was rude to my Mom and got in my face and tried to talk down to me also . I'm a Vietnam Veteran and I let them know that that employee and this place needs us .... We don't need them . I go to a different location which is in Henderson on Gibson. Went in on Friday 10/13/23 gave Yvonne Carr my ID , but she messed up on my paperwork and asked for my ID again. i thought this is VERY odd bit i gave it back. That was the LAST time i had my drivers license. I sm a CDL driver who cannot work without my drivers license. Very RUDE staff REFUSING to help me find my CDL DL and they even called the police on me and made a complaint that ALMOST got me thrown in jail! What a fucking JOKE this place is. When I walked in to get my blood work done, I watched the Quest Video being played on the screen with the EXAMPLE of how we were going to be greeted by a clean and super Friendly lab worker. Then the door opened and a tall, scraggly, tired, unfriendly worker came out to get his patient. He just blurted out the name and stood there. ( I had to keep from laughing ). This guy looked like he had just rolled out of bed wearing 3 or 4 day old scrubs!! About 2 minutes later the second door swung open and a female worker came out and did just about the same thing. Not an ounce of friendliness or welcoming compassion. I was truly considering leaving. I really did not want some dirty, tired, Cranky person taking my blood!! Luckily for me, when the door swung open for the 3rd time, I was greeted by a business like, clean and professional female who did a very orderly and friendly service for me. Jerika is hands down the best! I seriously love her for taking such good care of me & calming me down. She's so gentle & just has such a warm demeanor. She took 6 vials from me & made it go by pretty quickly. She talked me through everything, asked about my holidays & really just made this mentally painful experience, more enjoyable. I have had to unfortunately use this location twice, both times the staff were extremely disrespectful. Four days ago the employee working yelled my name and when I got back to the room had the audacity to say "you're lucky you answered this time, I called your name twice you're lucky you got to come back here" she was very condescending and belittling. Then when I didn't have my insurance card she told me she couldn't help me and I needed to leave. Every staff member needs to take a few classes on customer service. I was on the walk in list and waited for an hour and a half and took a phone call right outside the door and when I walked back in my name was gone. I spoke to a woman working there and she said, you were outside. I asked why she couldn't just open the door to call me and she said, we don't do VIP service over here." Another one of her employees chimed in and laughed. She said that if I wanted to be seen that I would need to check back in. I have been to this location a couple times and they are very efficient. The online appointment system is really convenient. I had an appointment the following week but then checked for earlier appointment times and one morning slot opened up for the next day. You just have to keep checking and sometimes it works out. Anyway, I was happy to get this off my schedule so I didn't have to go next week. When I arrived, the kiosk check-in took less than 30 seconds and then I was called back right at my appointment time. I went to the Quest lab at this location and I was treated like a PINCUSHION! The lab technicians (2) could not find my vein. What they did was stick me 3 separate times. When I make a comment about how they were hurting me their response was "you just don't like needles". I was so stressed and in pain after their lack of skill, that I decided to never go to that location again. The skill set of the technicians at that Quest are lacking in a big way.
