This is my arm TWO WEEKS after my appointment. She didn't know how to find my vein so she did a butterfly without telling me. NOT OKAY.
    Marissa G.

This location is one of three near me and it always has plenty of free appointment slots. Now I know why. Everyone in my family has had an issue literally every visit, but I'll cover my own visit: This Quest is a bit hard to find. It's located in the back of a business center. on the opposite end of the park from the Walgreens. The building is painted red, so that makes it stand out a little. Thankfully, there is ample shady parking. I checked in and sat down. Once I'm called back to a room, I'm left under an air vent while the tech is arguing with another patient because they weren't sure the test her doctor ordered was correct for her condition. That's a common theme here. They "didn't recognize" the code on my grandmother's urinalysis when the location at St. Rose Hospital said it was literally the most common code. Seems like they're more interested in playing doctor than taking specimens, but I digress. I let the tech know that my veins roll a bit. I'm by no means a hard stick, but letting the tech know usually means they feel my veins and adjust their approach accordingly. I rarely, if ever, require a second attempt at getting a needle in. This tech quit after about six. Thankfully, she was nowhere near my vein so it didn't hurt at all. That's the only reason I let her try for so long, despite her insistence that she was in my vein. Lady, I'm no phlebotomist, but I'm pretty sure if my vein had no blood in it, I wouldn't have an arm! So she feels the vein in the bend of my right arm and starts opening a fresh needle. I glance away and then feel a hell of a pain in my outer forearm. What the fuck? She's jabbed me with a butterfly needle without even telling me. It hurt the entire time, when blood tests usually don't bother me. And, worse, she's blown out my vein. My appointment was two weeks ago tomorrow. I still have a massive bruise. The photo I'm attaching is my arm as of Sunday, 7/26. My lab appointment was Monday, 7/13. Oh, and the lady who did this was so ungodly unprofessional. The entire time she was doing my draw, she was telling me about some home repair saga and dropping F-bombs and just generally being unprofessional. I don't know if it's because I'm young or what, but it was not okay. If I spoke to people like that at my job, I would be fired.

I don't think anyone likes coming to this place. Not because it's not fun getting blood drawn or leaving samples but just dealing with most (not all) of the workers here and their attitudes is enough to give anyone a bad day. I understand that dealing with the public in this manner is not a dream job for most but most times you get what you give. You give a bad attitude you're gonna get a bad attitude. The waiting room is fairly clean and there are plenty of chairs to sit on. There's even 2 arm rest so if you had to sit next to someone you don't have to play paper, rock, scissors to see who gets to use it. The have a water jug and cups so if your stuck there for a long time you can get a drink. You can make a reservation online which is pretty sweet though the last time I made a reservation, I had to wait well past my reservation time. When you come in you check in on one of the tablets. It's pretty easy to use. After that you just sit and wait......and wait......and we'll, you get the idea. Hope you brought a good book or your phone is fully charged. Today the nurse who helped me was very nice and helpful. Looks like my day is off to a good start.

Rachel was excellent and purely professional. She was very pleasant and efficient! Clean and modern facility. No wait line. They took me in and finished with my procedure in no time I would gladly return if needed

Make an appointment or wait 2 hours - too many sick people not enough vampires...

A tip for Quest -- hire a receptionist and have all the phlebotomists taking blood. Don't allow the blood takers to play receptionist while people are waiting. There is over 10 people waiting.

A long line out of the when I showed up at 6 am, they only had 1 intake person. Keep in mind they don't start doing drug testing until 10am.

I have been thoroughly impressed with how smooth, quick, and efficient the entire facility runs! The check in process is super easy. You just approach a kiosk and answer a few questions, then bam. Your name is called literally seconds later. (I have to point out that this was with an appointment... which was also very easy to do online) Once called back, the staff are super quick with taking their samples, and before you know it.... You're done! Easy peezy, lemon squeezey! It's super clean, which is so great. The staff are very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. They make the experience seem effortless, and I really appreciated that. Results also come back quickly. Most visits, I already had results back within 2-3 days. Totally glad I live close to here, because my trips to get these bloodwork done are super easy and quick at this location.

After two years at Quest, every visit usually involved multiple needle sticks, and my veins would often stop cooperating before all the tubes were collected, meaning they had to start over somewhere else. My experience at LabCorp has been the complete opposite. The check-in process is incredibly convenient. You can check in from your phone or use the kiosk in the lobby. My first appointment started right on time. The second was slightly delayed because my doctor gave me a Quest lab order instead so the delay was on my end. I also really prefer LabCorp's front desk setup. Having someone available to answer questions or help with check-in makes the whole process much smoother. At Quest, you often have to wait until a phlebotomist comes out to call the next patient before you can ask for assistance if something goes wrong with the kiosk or your appointment. At LabCorp, there's always someone at the front desk to help, which makes a big difference. The phlebotomists have been outstanding. During my first visit, she found my vein on the first attempt and collected all eight vials without any issues. On my second visit, I had a different phlebotomist who was just as impressive. She took her time feeling for the vein and made sure she was confident about the placement before inserting the needle. Once again, she got all five vials on the first stick with no problems. The only suggestion I have is that if you're bringing a paper lab order from another lab, such as Quest, arrive a little early. They have to recreate the order in their own system by looking up each individual test, so that process delayed my second appointment a bit. Once that was finished, everything moved smoothly. Overall, I've been extremely impressed. The lobby is spacious and very clean, there have been far fewer people waiting than I was used to at Quest, and I love that you can even wait in your car until it's your turn if you prefer. As someone who has always dreaded getting blood work because of difficult veins, LabCorp has made the experience surprisingly easy. Based on my experiences so far, I would absolutely recommend them.

They claimed they had no record of my collection at all! When you arrive at the lab, there's no assistant to check you in, no one to guide you, and their phone line is useless -- no one ever answers. After all this, they still had the nerve to send me a bill to pay at home, even though I never got my results. This is by far the worst service I have ever received in my life. I had no sooner signed in & was helping the Mrs with hers, when a phlebotomist came out calling my name. Now that's fast! I usually have problems with blood draws (I've walked out with punctures on both arms & the back of my hand) but not here. One quick poke & it was in & vials were getting filled. The Mrs did have problems with her paperwork which did cause complications, but not the fault of Quest. A quick call to our doctor (& you know how quickly they answer the phone) & a new set was faxed over. This location is clean with a friendly, helpful staff. It's incredibly easy to schedule appointments, and the check-in process is efficient and user-friendly. I really appreciate how organized everything is, from checking in electronically to being placed in the queue based on your appointment time and arrival. Even as a walk-in, the wait is usually reasonable, and appointments are generally on time or only delayed by a few minutes. Unfortunately, my visit on July 7 was disappointing. During my blood draw, the technician lost access to my vein and had to stop the procedure. She told me she would have to insert the needle again in my other arm. I understand that complications can happen, but what concerned me was that it seemed to have happened because the needle moved during the blood draw. Like many people, I have a genuine fear of needles, so having to be poked a second time was stressful and painful. Patients trust that every effort will be made to complete the procedure correctly the first time. While I realize no one is perfect and accidents happen, I hope technicians are reminded to stay focused and minimize situations that require repeat needle sticks whenever possible. Despite this experience, I still appreciate this Quest location and the overall efficiency of its staff and processes. I just hope this feedback helps improve the patient experience, especially for those of us who are anxious about needles.

It was crowded, difficult to find (inside a hospital) and the staff is clearly stressed. The woman who did my blood draw (a younger woman with glasses and fake lashes, I don't know her name) messed up on my first arm and my vein collapsed. NEVER had that happen before. I'm healthy and vascular, medical staff usually say it's easy to draw from me because of it. I've never had a vein collapse before. She then tried to insinuate that I must be dehydrated when I'd been fasting for 12 hours and had drank three bottles of water since waking, and even walked in to the draw with a bottle of water. She then switched to my second arm to finish the draw. She failed to tape the cotton properly to me after. The tape kept trying to come off and blood was running down my arm as I went to the elevator. I had to use the tape from the first arm (which luckily didn't bleed) to shoddily tape down the other side. About 12 hours later appear, I have small hematomas forming. I'm pissed as hell since this might interrupt my workout schedule. Both my arms are sore and I iced them immediately after getting home. Do NOT go here. Go to any other Quest. I've never had this happen at their other locations around Vegas. Spare yourself.

My brother suddenly had lost his vision and it was imperative for the surgeon to have the lab results prior to initiating. The phlebotomist was courteous letting me know that she was labeling the test tubes STAT as ordered. This CPL experience was definitely a positive one!! Patients are able to log in to a portal to access their lab results. This particular new location at 3007 W. It was definitely reassuring being able to access and track lab results through the patient portal over a weekend prior to surgery.

My primary care provider couldn't do same day bloodwork at their office because I had already eaten beforehand, so they ordered tests and I was advised to fast for 10 hours. Alongside this vitamin D recheck, I also received a lipid panel. I wanted to get in first thing in the morning so I could fast overnight, but all early morning times were booked up over several weeks. Normally I visit the Quest on Mountain Vista, but then I learned that this Quest is across the street from my boot camp gym and I decided to book my appointment in the early morning right after getting my workout in. Quest on Horizon Ridge and Carnegie is located way in the back of the parking lot. Note that they do not have a front office receptionist, just a check-in screen. For a quick check-in, scan your driver's license and insurance card at this screen. The waiting room is a little tiny with about eight or so chairs total, however. If it's busy, you can choose to leave and come back 10 minutes prior to the start of your appointment. Right after I got myself checked in, I was called back about 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. Talk about speedy right there. The phlebotomist I saw was extremely nice and helpful, plus the big window they had in the room she was in made my procedure easy and comfortable. It took longer than I was used to because multiple tests were being done on me, requiring multiple test tubes. Towards the end, I did start feeling squeamish because my blood started making these weird squishing noises as it was being loaded into one of the test tubes. And before you know it, my procedure was finished and I was sent on my way. I was very satisfied that I've officially decided to make the switch from Mountain Vista to Horizon Ridge.
