This office is the worse I've ever visited with the worse 'customer service', ever~ I was asked by a local doctor to get some lab work done, so I noted their hours and showed up right at 8:00am on a Tuesday morning. I did their automated kiosk and sat down as a walk-in. I watched their over 3 year old tv newsreel, watched while appointments went in and out, and waited some more. After almost an hour, I finally decided to ask why I wasn't called in yet, I was told by one of their staff that perhaps I hadn't filled out the kiosk correctly, that she didn't have anyone on their list and instead gave me a number and that I would be called using that instead. She quickly left. More time went by...I got up again (mind you, there's only about 2-3 people at most in the waiting room, including me), to interrupt the same employee as she calls another person's name instead of mine...I ask her again, how much longer am I to wait and she rudely tells me that all appointments are taken first and then walk-ins. I assure her that I'm well aware of what a 'walk-in' is but I didn't expect to be waiting over an hour and not being approached by one staff member to ask whether I had an appointment or if I had utilized the sign-in kiosk, or not. Not one of the 3 staff members bothered to check on why this woman was still in the waiting room since they had opened their doors. The staffer told me they were booked until 3:30pm...what exactly did that mean?? Was she thinking I would just camp out there until late afternoon???!!!??? Ridiculous. I will never come back to this office and will make sure that this individual will be reprimanded and have already filed a complaint with their headquarters for their manager to be made aware of this treatment. read more

I have a horrible (and irrational) fear of anything medically-related, so I was extremely nervous about going to get blood drawn for the first time in many years. But the experience here was wonderful! I was there when they opened at 6:30am with about 4 people ahead of me, waited not even 10 minutes and and was out by 7:00am. My phlebotomist (I'm so embarrassed that I can't recall her name) was lovely, warm, friendly and did a great job getting blood out of my always-deep veins. Checking in on the touch screen was simple and efficient and all of the staff that I spoke with here was so nice and welcoming. They maintained strict social distancing and limited occupancy within the waiting room, which I very much appreciated. I'll be going to this location from now on for any required testing! read more

I had an African American female phlebotomist that told me she was ready for me to come into the room to draw my blood. At that time I was 34 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My baby bump was clearly showing and my walk has changed to more of a waddle. When I got up from the chair to go to the room she directed me to, she had the audacity to ask me "Why are you walking like that?" While she chuckled. I told her because I'm pregnant. And she still asked "But why do you walk like that?" While she mimicking and acted out my walk. I got hurt and repeated myself saying because I am pregnant and my center of gravity is off. She had the nerve to still ask "Why, because for some women have pressure down there and others it's for balance." She proceeded to tell me she had a daughter and never experienced that before when she was pregnant. I've never ever had anyone mimic me when I walk, let alone while I am 34 weeks pregnant and during a time when I am a patient. This was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had and I hope to never have to go back to this location. read more

Every time I go here I am in n out! Clean, no wait, easy sign in and great customer service. Walter is very welcoming and I've seen him at a different location he was the same over there. Happy to have found a lab that's easy to get to, well-run, painless (!), has free parking in the building, and fast. Easy self-check-in with scanners. I was called right on time and was in and out of the test in about 7 minutes. Highly recommend this location. All their emails warn that if you don't show up within 10 min of you're appointment you'll be treated as a walk-in. That's a reasonable policy. Also everyone should realize that walk-ins are lowest priority. If you don't want a long wait, make an appointment. read more

I have been dreading writing this review. In April, my 80-year-old grandmother became jaundice after losing significant weight. It was a Friday night when we noticed how jaundice she had become. Her doctor ordered rushed bloodwork, among other things. So the next morning, we came here because it stated they talk walk-ins. That is when we met the rudest, cruelest, most inhumane employee named Verjine. I'd like to note - she's not a doctor and quite frankly, is probably the most irrelevant employee at the place, but she acts like she owns it. My grandmother and I got there and when I walked in to inquire about their availability, I was immediately attacked by Verjine for not having an appointment. I explained the situation and she, without a flinch, demanded we wait in the hallway. We did so. My grandmother kindly asked for a chair and Verjine simply ignored her. So the poor woman stood for two hours. Finally, Verjine came (an hour before closing), took everyone in the hallway and then told us to go home because they were too busy. Luckily, before I could even respond, a kind woman came out and I explained the situation to her and she promised she'd take my grandma in. Verjine was clearly angry at the situation. She continually ignored us and gave me attitude while filling out her information, until a kind nurse came and took us in. That weekend, my grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and passed away less than three months later. It is mind boggling to me that people can be so cruel, especially in the healthcare industry. How awful that my grandma not only had a disease killing her, but also experienced such inhumanity throughout the process. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I am shocked that employee still has a job. read more

I unfortunately had many horrible experiences before with this location but when I tried to make an appointment this was the closest place with the soonest appointment. My appointment was at 9:15 and I checked in at 9:02. I'm sitting there waiting and waiting and I saw an employee walk out and walk back in after 5 minutes on her cell phone laughing, I told her that I was waiting and while she's walking (she didn't even stop to talk) she said she'll let them know as if she's not even part of the team. Latanya calls me at 9:39 and I told her that I've been here with an appointment and she said we are busy, when I told her we have a baby in the car, that piece of crap has the audacity to tell me "oh you know you can't leave a baby in the car alone". I said I'm not retarded to leave a baby alone and there is an adult in the car. So they called me inside and it's the same employee (with nose piercing and dark eye make up that I inquired about my appointment) who started working on me and she said "well it's my break time now" and she started talking to another Hispanic employee in Spanish and they laughed. I recognized her face from the previous location where she used to work on 3600 N Verdugo Rd. I told her that I recognized her and how rude she was even at the previous location. I witnessed her closing the door at 3:55 when they actually are supposed to be open till 4:00 pm. Also, PEOPLE PAY ATTNETION. They don't use any sanitary methods, they leave the bandaids or the gauze face down on the dirty counters and they put those on top of where they draw your blood. This is a cause of infection and yet they simply don't follow the basics. I hope Quest managements pat attention to the customer complaints and do something about their employees. They're in major need to learning some manners and need coaching and counseling. I already called their corporate office and filed and complaint and waiting for a supervisor to call back. read more

Got their checked in only to be told oh we don't have the needle needed for the pt it's not small enough. So why would you not contact me before I wasted a PTO day and to tell me that you don't have the supplies needed. Also why as a lab do you not have the materials needed for a blood draw for any age. This location doesn't even deserve 1 star!! Highly recommend going elsewhere- Walter & Vicky pick & choose which patients will get assisted. They cannot be retrained since empathy & compassion comes from within. I took my son for bloodwork that required fasting, the earliest appointment was 3:10 pm. He had fasted since the previous night!When I approached Walter about our situation & we arrived 30 minutes prior to our appointment he just ignored me. Meanwhile, only 2 people were waiting. An elderly couple had been there prior to our arrival. Come to find out they were at the wrong Central location- instead of assisting this elderly man Walter told them if they went to the correct location they would be serviced as a Walk-in & they were no longer taking anyone without an appointment. Just as they left another person comes in with NO appointment & Walter calls her to room 2!! My son & I are still waiting. When we were helped by Vicky she said "there is morning appointments & the system doesn't let us call anyone ahead" yet a walk in not on the system was taken straight to a room!! When they was giving the worst help they could give and i told them that im taking my daughter out from this hospital and taking her to her normal doctor who actually knows what he's doing . It's 2020, we're in the middle of the Covid epidemic, and with all of the stress, this location continues to provide excellent service. You have to stand in line and have your temperature taken, but once you are inside the facility, it really pays to make an appointment so you can get in and out quickly. Anna was my phlebotomist today and she remembered me from previous visits. As always, she was polite, friendly and professional. It's nice to see someone again who is so kind. Of all the Quest locations in my area, this is my favorite. I very much appreciate these courageous people who continue to provide important health services during such a difficult time. After waiting for a good few minutes a receptionist comes in and rudely says that walk-ins are only accepted IF people don't show up. I asked why the system or any sign doesn't say that previously? No answer. The next time I come with an appointment. I get checked in the system right on time, wait 20 minutes past my appointment date, then get into the lab area with the most loud-talking, rudest lab worker I had ever met. I end up getting my blood work done by another lab worker who doesn't really understand English and can't follow that the middle initial on my sheets should ALSO be the first letter of my middle name. There was a typo for the middle initial and she can't understand why, after explaining the previous to her and showing tons of IDs. read more

This is the worst Quest location ever and unfortunately the only one in Glendale that's open on Saturdays. Wait time is forever, even pre-COVID. Paperworks are always lost and can't be located. Not a single person can find my veins. And the list of issues with this place goes on and on. I went in today for 2 tests. Waited 1 hour in the lobby, 10 minutes inside to have the receptionist tell me I had to pay $241. When I asked if it was for both my tests he said he'd forgotten to put in my second test!! I asked him to put that one in too so I'd know how much of a total copay I gotta pay but he said it was not possible to do, he had to do a new order and when I asked him to do so he said I wouldn't know of the amount till 45 days later. What the hell?! Needless to say, I cancelled the test. The exact same thing happened at this very location to me 2 years ago where they asked for $180 which I obviously refused and I went to get the test done at Primex which cost me only $15. I was a fool to think this time would be different but nope. Not gonna happen. Did I mention they once poked me 4 times but could not find a vein?! Primex could do so on the first try!!! read more

Don't waste your time. No system, no direction, no communication. This place is a joke. Granted, I am a walk in, I've been waiting an hour and 15 minutes for a desk person to finally come out and say there are 2 people and a drop off before me and with it being lunch hour that leaves 2 people working in back. All of which is not my issues. I can hear a lot of talking in back but they haven't called anyone back for over 20 minutes. Another woman came to the front only to tell an elderly woman who didn't know how to work their computerized system, that she was just there to take the supply order You walk in, punch your information into a system, you name shows up on the tv screen but it means NOTHING!!! Mine came up and went away all within the first 10 minutes of me entering my info into their automated system. There are no further instructions or directions given. We all just sit at the mercy of this unorganized, unsupervised office i asked if i could speak to a manager and the worker went looking for a business card. I said I'm not interested in a card, i was interested in talking to someone and to find out when I might get my blood drawn. No response. All i can hear coming from the back is lunch room conversations and personal chit chat. I left because this place doesn't deserve a nickel of my or my insurances money. I made an appointment online for 7:30AM and arrived around 7:27AM. I was in by 7:32AM and already in my car by 7:39AM. The waiting room was full when I got there and the customer in front of me who had no appointment was told it would be a 45 min wait so I definitely suggest making an appointment ahead of time. It will save you a ton of time! They validate 90 min parking, but you can also just park at the side of the building along Central (30 min parking) like me if you have an appointment because you'll be out quickly! Make sure to fast 8-12 hours prior. I usually make mine early in the morning before I eat breakfast so I can make sure I honor the fast. Also drink some water prior so the technician can find your vein more easily and the process will be even smoother. I'm very impressed by the speed and ease to get here. Will definitely return in the future!!! read more

As long as you make an appointment online, you will have a great experience. Otherwise this location can get quite crowded and you may have to wait over an hour. The gentleman working the front desk is very organized and efficient. He has a great personality but at the same time he can be stern and keep people in check. I've had blood drawn here twice and both times everything went smoothly. The people taking the blood are super quick and they really know what they are doing. I've never had any bruising and I'm out of there in 5 minutes. It makes a not-so-pleasant visit very tolerable. I am normally scared of needles and getting blood drawn, and I usually have the worst luck with the nurse. This time, the nurse Anna G. was drawing my blood. I turned away, and before I can even ask when she will insert the needle, she told me its in already. It went smooth and I didn't feel a thing! I definitely recommend this location, as I've had horrible experiences at other locations! Try to have Anna draw your blood if possible! read more

About 6 months ago I came here to get my blood drawn and for my own safety & the safety of the phlebotomist I informed her that I have a serious irrational fear of needles. I told her I may go into panic, move to quick, or feel extremely lightheaded. Her response to me: how old are you? I responded saying 21. She had the AUDACITY to say "aren't you a little too old to be scared of needles" ... I was in SHOOK. I wanted to get out of there so quickly.
