Workers are incredibly rude. I work in health care, this is not how you treat patients.

A looking wait. And the phlebotomist took blood from both arms instead of multiple vials from 1 stick. Strange.

I don't do well at all with blood being drawn does anyone know if they have the recliner chairs?also are they nice about it when people don't do good with needles? I literally throw up every time ?

No recliner chairs that I've ever seen at the 800 so central lab. Perhaps at another quest lab.

She corrected the mistake, gave me what I needed and sent me on my way. I was in there in total under 15 minutes. Carolyn was kind and efficient. I'd go back!

When she was called in she asked if I can come in with her because she has fainted many times due to fear of needles, so I came with her on my day off specifically to get these labs drawn for her. The technician that called her in said I couldn't come in, so my wife proceeded to explain to her why she wanted me to come in with her. The technician then said "well I can lay you down" and said to her "I don't feel comfortable with another adult in here". My wife then asked "what about my comfortability?" to which the technician simply replied "I'll have to have someone else come and draw your blood". I then asked if I can come on with my wife while the technician said to me "no, we're talking about that right now" as she was speaking to what I suppose was a superior. In the mean time I'm waiting outside while another technician is tending to my wife and starts to get ready to draw blood. My wife then asked him if he was made aware of what the other technician said to which he replied no. My wife then asked him if I can come in with her and he also stated "no". My wife then said "if he can't be present with me then I'm leaving". The technician simply shrugged and said "fine". At no point during this whole time did they show us any policy stating an adult could not be present during the draw. It was simply about the technician's "comfortability" without consideration for the comfortability of my wife. The disregard for the patient's need is unacceptable and their lack of professionalism is evident in their lack of empathy and care. Maybe consider the fact that there are people with legitimate fear of needles that pass out and faint at the sight of it all. Would give them a 0 star if I could.

Quest Diagnostics - No receptionist, just tablets. I am glad I was there to help an elderly patient. Other than this, great service.

Depending on the day and your needs you can be seen rather promptly and address any concerns with a provider. The staff here is friendly, personable and thoughtful. They keep this confidential referring to individuals by their number. The Aids Health Foundation aka AHF has offered free testing services since the early 1990s, with this flagship location taking full effect in 2017. Yes, I had to wait a little (as expected), but it was worth it. Rosa, my phlebotomist, was extremely quick, professional, and kind. I'm so thankful for her and the whole Burbank Alameda team--they made the experience smooth and stress-free! Oh, and just a tip--there isn't any front desk staff here. Instead, there are three kiosks where you simply scan your driver's license and upload your insurance. It was extremely easy and made the check-in process very straightforward.

If you have an extra hour or two (or four, five or six!) to get a 5-minute blood draw procedure…read morethen Quest is the place for you! The wait times are simply UNBELIEVABLE. The people who own Quest must be wildly out of touch to think that this kind of dysfunction is appropriate. Here are a few survival tips: 1. Make an appointment. That way you might only maybe wait 1-2 hours. Yes, seriously. 2. Get up and stretch every half hour or your back will ache like hell. 3. Bring water. Whatever you do, do NOT get up and leave to get water and return in 5 minutes because if inexplicably call your name while you're not in the room, you will lose your place in line and .... they.... do ... not ..... care. 4. Bring snacks or be prepared for your blood sugar to take dive in about hour 3 of the marathon wait. 5. Be nice to the poor, overworked, abused staff who are getting hit from all sides. That is if you actually see them. The "reception" desk is closed and you handle checkin courtesy of some ipad looking things at the front. All jokes aside, this is NOT how healthCARE should be. It is so incredibly sad that Quest thinks that their patients have NOTHING BETTER to do and have no concept of CARING for their patients - most of whom are sick, and some are scared and stressed and Quest just adds to the misery. It's shocking they would let a company function like this. Saying that, the staff did their best and with such a horrible working environment, I'm impressed with their decorum. I want to make it crystal clear that the person who took my blood was friendly and efficient. The woman who came out about every 20-30 minutes to explain to everyone they would be there for hours was pleasant enough. It's the whole concept of Quest's customer service that needs a full blown overhaul, not the people. They were doing the best they could under pretty tough circumstances. THIS PLACE IS REALLY OUT OF SYNC WITH THE NOTION OF CARING FOR THEIR PATIENTS. SAD!
