If you are going last minute, keep checking the appointment site for cancellations. My appointment couldn't have gone any better! I found street parking, had my confirmation number for easy check-in, and was called in 5 minutes after my appointment time. Best of all, the woman who drew by blood was professional, gentle and compassionate. My advice, drink tons of water before hand, make an appointment and grab free street parking (read the signs for restrictions). Also, it's true, there is no reception area, just 2 digital check-in stations, but behind the door, they have a hydration station and bathroom. Both of the two touchscreen monitors we have to use to check in DO NOT WORK! No matter where you tap to write your personal information, it takes a long time to get to the next screen. All the while, you're stressed because you see a clock telling you you only have 30 seconds to complete that answer or (I guess) have to start all over again?! Finally I figured out how to scan my QR appointment code then scan my license & insurance card. When Vanessa called me into the office & asked how I was, I told her I was upset & explained the touch screen monitors. Instead of sympathizing, she told me, "You just have to be patient with it. You have to touch it softly." How the hell is anyone supposed to know that?! I told her they needed to fix it. And that I didn't like being blamed for it, as I touched all sides of the square area. She didn't care. After she took my personal info down, tension grew because of her attitude. She asked me if I wanted her to draw my blood. At first I said, "If you're good at it, fine." But later, she said, "I don't like your attitude." I told her I felt the same towards her. So she asked someone else to do it. I asked Vanessa for her name & she refused to answer, saying, "I'm not drawing your blood." I asked her if she had something to hide & that I'd find out anyway. When I sat with Vi, I asked her what the previous woman's name was & Vanessa non-verbally told her not to give it. I eventually found out & had a nice time with Vi. I spoke to the office manager (Anna, I believe; I told her my situation & she said they'd ordered new machines. I hope that's true) & I was told the number to call to complain to the person in charge, which I intend to do after I get off deadline. This place has horrible Yelp reviews & people like Vanessa contribute to it. She should not work for you. Got there 10 minutes before my appointment, checked in easily at the kiosk, and waited for only about 5-10 minutes past my appointment time. (Typical) I was seen by Aretzy (or Aretsy not sure how to spell her name), who was very kind, warm, quick and efficient taking blood and all of her duties. She was sweet, the facility was clean and I walked out pleasantly surprised. I wish everyone could get her when they come for blood work, she was awesome. Quest, what an embarrassing company. They've cut receptionists at their locations, instead having people check in with an iPad. If you have questions, too bad! I mistakenly showed up a day before my actual appointment (100% my fault), and since I was dealing with an iPad instead of a human, I got no hint from the check-in process regarding why the system said I had no appointment. First time at a Quest Diagnostics, I came to do a 3 hour glucose test and Walter assisted me. He went above and beyond with his customer service. I waited less than 20 minutes, to get my first blood drawn and was provided a room to stay away from COVID patients testing. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone especially expecting mamas. Ps: they only take patients with appointments. You must have a QR code or you will not be assisted. The building is very old, and kind of dirty. Signed up online and was sent a QR Code to scan in when arriving. The waiting room is ugly and just feels awful. No one greets you, and there is no human except for a person that will open a door and call for you. In my case, even having received a confirmation, I was never called. Had fasted 12 hours and was starving, and made to wait an additional hour to be seen. Voiced my concerns to the staff, they were really unhelpful and inauthentic with their apology for making we wait so long. Others waiting were also visibly upset with the poor service and there was a lot of customer to customer chatter about how bad the service was. Miserable, miserable, miserable experience. Wasted my time in a huge way. At other labs I have waited a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes. My experience here was a string of 4 letter expletives torture. Report card grade: F- read more
