Then they send her down stairs, I go along to wait in that waiting area. I get down stairs and the staff began to speaking rude to me as a visitor. I stood in front of the chair to see the directions they are going. ( I didn't move) They thought it was necessary for her to tell me that the room was fur patients only. I was responding by saying I'm just watching the directions. They other staff member was present and must have got offended by my response so she kicked me out of the waiting area and told me I had to leave the area. I asked, shall I go back to the room that we started in. Her nasty response was, just find a waiting room upstairs. The improvements needed for a pleasant visit would have been for the lady at the podium to take charge and ask questions so that she can do her job and direct people to the correct area. That would have prevented us from going to 3 different places. A staff member was blowing her nose the entire time I sat in the waiting room which was really disgusting. Om our exit, the lady at the podium did tell us to press "S" for street to leave the building. So I guess that makes up for the entrance..... NO! I wise not to come here again. Not even to drop someone off. I'll just stay in my car instead of parking in the valet. By the way, he was the only person to provide exceptional customer service!

Luckily, the scheduler was able to book an appointment for today. It was about a 30-minute walk from my house to Main Street Radiology. I haven't stepped foot inside this Bayside location for eight years. My arrival time was at 11:45 a.m. to check-in. I completed the pre-registration questionnaire. I went downstairs to L1 for my annual mammogram, breast ultrasound, thyroid ultrasound, and abdomen ultrasound. Wish me luck!

That kind of familiarity and care goes a long way when you are already anxious about the process. One thing worth knowing that I did not realize until recently -- they will arrange transportation to and from your appointment and bill it directly to your insurance. I took advantage of the ride home and it was a seamless experience. If that is something that would help you, do not hesitate to ask about it. The area is under major construction and not accessible via car. The only good thing about this experience was that the tech greeted me kindly upon my arrival. There was another tech there who only grunted at me, I feel because I am not Asian. I normally go to the labs closest to me but was not able to get an appointment. I was forced to go here because my issue was an urgent. I have used Quest for many years but I will NEVER EVER use the lab at this location or recommend it.

Terrible Wait Time, poor scheduling, faulty website…read more Prior to the appointment I got at least 10 emails for required tasks before appointment. The first few times was on me, but after I finally submitted the required tasks, I still received emails 3 times AFTER! When I logged in to check, sometimes it said I submitted and it's under review, sometimes it says I didn't upload anything. On call, the front desk finally confirmed that all my paperwork was submitted. Furthermore, my appointment was initially 12:20pm, and so checkin time was 12pm. Out of nowhere, last night (night before appointment) the checkin time change to 11:40am and appointment changed to 12pm with no heads up, warning, nor confirmation. Just in case, I ended up arriving at 11:30am. I needed a ultrasound so I had to drink 32oz of water an hour prior to the appointment (this is standard). By 12:30 (half an hour after my supposed appointment time) I really needed the bathroom, but I wasn't supposed to go for the ultrasound. I was informed that there was still 2 more people ahead of me and they do not know when it would be my turn. (The front desk was nice in this case. She let me go to the bathroom and handed two more bottles of water to drink before my appointment) It's currently 1pm and I am still waiting with no further updates. I scheduled time off during my workday to come here and now I am running tight on schedule but still don't know when they will finally call me. Everything took about a little over an hour. (Tech was male, don't know if they have someone female doing this, you should ask if you're not comfortable with that, because you will be topless for this exam and it's scanned near the left breast) The place inside has a little bit of a homey vibe from their interior, once you are done registering. And in the waiting area downstairs for exams, they have tea, coffee and water for patients to help themselves. (Creamer and sugar provided) this was a nice touch. FYI : The nearest bus stop and buses are for Q65 and Q26, with the least amount of walking. Then it's Q27. The phone number to call is for their scheduling call center, not the office directly . Con: They lack sufficient staff that speaks Mandarin (i got hung up on 3times waiting for one ) so English callers would get helped quicker.

Yes, it can be difficult to call the Main Street Radiology general line to book appointments. Be patient and just keep trying to call back to schedule appointment. Sometimes it can be frustrating with all the volume of calls that they receive. The staff that takes the PET Scans here are excellent. They take the time to explain the whole process as well as after the procedure. You are definitely in good hands when you come here. Great quality of care here. They will try to accommodate you should any issues arise with appointments. This is a very busy practice for they do so many various diagnostic and specialty tests. Staff here will assist if you need translation when filling out form and they will ask if you need assistance.

I had been waiting two months for this appointment. I understand that I made a mistake, but I don't understand why there was absolutely no flexibility or compassion. Many patients have to work and carefully arrange their schedules. Allowing me to wait would have been a simple act of kindness, especially so early in the morning when the office didn't appear to be busy. What makes this even more disappointing is that I've been a patient at this practice for over twenty years. I expected to be treated with a little more understanding and respect after being a loyal patient for so long. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion of this office. I have paid $1,100 and waited for their billing department to submit medical records to process the pending $800. Not only could they not locate my payment, but I also didn't receive an updated bill since August. Instead, they quietly updated the client portal without notifying me. Months later, I discovered that they moved the $800 balance to me on the portal--again, with no bill, no message, no notification. It has now been four months, and I am still waiting for a correct bill. Despite multiple promises, I haven't received a bill in the mail, any follow-up, or even a single reply to my email inquiries since December. When I spoke to their billing vendor, they blamed the holidays for the delays--a completely unprofessional and unacceptable excuse given how much time has passed. To make matters worse, they admitted during a call with my insurer that the original bill was incorrect. Yet, they still haven't provided the corrected statement they promised. Their communication has been wildly inconsistent--one day acknowledging the error, the next claiming the issue is "still pending," or even suggesting they might bill me later. This is despite the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) clearly stating that, the claim has already been paid under a different code, making their actions completely unjustifiable. Should have been the red flag sign but figure give them benefit of doubt until the actual visit. Day of appointment even though arrive almost an hour early, end up having to wait and even come back between appt time as one of the tech wasn't yet available given I arrive too early (even though per their multiple request). Other wise appt went as expected. Get a call and letter with request to come back for re-test as one side the imaging was not clear from the test. Didn't think I need the re-test, given last test was 6 months ago and was clean at another location. But given my doctor insistences that health is important, figure get the re-test "just to be safe". For the 2nd re-test visit few weeks later, was about over an hour wait time for the redo of mammo and ultrasound. Was told, given computer issue that the doctor can't review the scan result after test, and to go home and wait for result. Gets home received a voicemail with request to come back again for another more scan, as imaging still not clear!!!!!!!! This is when I start questioning things, why 3 re-do for a routine checkup when no issue just 6 months ago at another location. Patient should not have to be inconvenient for tech's poor and rush job. Also review of test history, notice they charge me for Enhanced Imaging test with the initial exam, and yet no result on website to show for it. I am definitely not going back given the experience! Completely disrespect for our time and inconvenience. People don't have enough sick day to waste several days on multiple re-do of routine test due to poor job.
