Terrible Wait Time, poor scheduling, faulty website Prior to the appointment I got at least 10 emails for required tasks before appointment. The first few times was on me, but after I finally submitted the required tasks, I still received emails 3 times AFTER! When I logged in to check, sometimes it said I submitted and it's under review, sometimes it says I didn't upload anything. On call, the front desk finally confirmed that all my paperwork was submitted. Furthermore, my appointment was initially 12:20pm, and so checkin time was 12pm. Out of nowhere, last night (night before appointment) the checkin time change to 11:40am and appointment changed to 12pm with no heads up, warning, nor confirmation. Just in case, I ended up arriving at 11:30am. I needed a ultrasound so I had to drink 32oz of water an hour prior to the appointment (this is standard). By 12:30 (half an hour after my supposed appointment time) I really needed the bathroom, but I wasn't supposed to go for the ultrasound. I was informed that there was still 2 more people ahead of me and they do not know when it would be my turn. (The front desk was nice in this case. She let me go to the bathroom and handed two more bottles of water to drink before my appointment) It's currently 1pm and I am still waiting with no further updates. I scheduled time off during my workday to come here and now I am running tight on schedule but still don't know when they will finally call me. No regards for our time, and struggles to even keep on schedule with appointment times. I would recommend scheduling for a different LHR branch. Update I finished at 2pm read more

First time here since they perform an exam that isn't done everywhere nor at all business hours. The doctor (cardiologist) prescribed for an echo cardiography with color Doppler..And only this location does it on Wednesday and Fridays, till 4PM (last appt) and I was informed that the results will be ready in three business days. Everything took about a little over an hour. (Tech was male, don't know if they have someone female doing this, you should ask if you're not comfortable with that, because you will be topless for this exam and it's scanned near the left breast) The place inside has a little bit of a homey vibe from their interior, once you are done registering. And in the waiting area downstairs for exams, they have tea, coffee and water for patients to help themselves. (Creamer and sugar provided) this was a nice touch. FYI : The nearest bus stop and buses are for Q65 and Q26, with the least amount of walking. Then it's Q27. The phone number to call is for their scheduling call center, not the office directly . Con: They lack sufficient staff that speaks Mandarin (i got hung up on 3times waiting for one ) so English callers would get helped quicker. read more

Another goofy long wait, today!!! I came to pick up my MRI CD, I was told to wait since the scan has so much information data. After near an hour wait, I was told they miss inserted a disc and now I have to enduring another long wait. There is no excuse how crazy should the front desk people worked, we customer have ample time wasted here just because we had to rely on you to get things done? I've been getting services at Lenox Hill Radiology for a few years now, and I have never had any inconveniences up until now. It has nothing to do with the company itself, but with its employees--well, at leats with one of them in the last occasion. I had an appointment for an echocardiogram, and I almost ended up in the ER with a tremendous neck pain because I have a few herniated discs in the spine.  The gentleman, the one incharged in the room for the echocardiogram exam, was very rude. First of all, as a patient, I deserve at least some respect from the, "professionals" taking care of me. It looks like this guy doesn't understand much about ethics, however.  At any rate, the main issue I had was that I explained him that I have two hernias in my spine (cervical area), and that, for that very reason, i cannot stay in one position for too long. Nevertheless, he kept saying, "DON'T MOVE, DON'T MOVE!" Like if he was dealing with a robot or someone as clumsy as himself. He should have been more understandable of my condition, and allowed me to take small breaks during the exam. However, It looked like he was annoyed, and in a rush the whole time. His attitude was not professional at all. I understand that these type of procedures need to be done with caution for our own wellness, but it doesn't justify the lack of consideration towards the patients. I'm sure that a few seconds of waiting wouldn't have delayed his work, but he was so worried about getting it done ASAP. I wouldn't like to say anything negative about this place but i wouldn't like other patients that are paying for these exams to get treated the same way because these services are not FREE. Management should assess their employees, and look for sings of carelessness, impatience, or reckless behavior in the workplace; and then they should actually do something about it.  I hope they are able to read this comment, and start taking care of this issue ASAP because we are not paying to get yelled at or to see rude people. I went for my annual mammogram and had the worst experience ever! The radiologist, if you can call her that, treated me as if she was a military sergeant! No instructions to turn left or right, but her hands shifted my head with such force that traumatized me. She even Interrupted the exam, in the middle of it, to speak with another employee.. no bedside manners whatsoever. I will never go back or recommend anyone to be examined in that facility. I'm hoping to receive a survey from LHR regarding my appointment so that I can receive a call if an apology. If I can leave "0" star I would!!! read more

I'm posting under my nickname. It's interesting how the online registration is used to streamline paper work issues yet patients are left waiting for their appointment time. Let's be clear: we waste 20 min filling out their paper work demands before we arrive. Their online system grants you an appt for a set time but that time is not granted. Inefficiency and rudeness abound. One more point, they are quick to collect your copay. Again, the patient is at the mercy of people who don't keep to a schedule. I say collect my copay as I'm entering the schedule room. 2022-- Put a kiosk in the room...we can scan our cards ourselves. Is there a reason they actually employ people at the front desk ? Wouldn't it be more cost effective to play a recording "I don't know how much longer you'll have to wait. We were behind schedule before your arrival ." The money saved could be used to offset the copays you collect. The automated reply to the reviews is another example of their complete lack of care or consideration. Take your insurance dollars elsewhere. If you find yourself stuck in the waiting room, use that time to contact a customer service rep at Lenox Hill. Of course, you'll be on hold for a while. Ask the customer service rep if they wouldn't mind waiting on the line until your seen. They will have to decline because they already know about the wait time issues. read more

not too long ago when i called the main # to request a specific test i was referred to the office in Astoria; upon arrival i was informed that test had not been offered there for 3 years.Bummer!!! additionally another time The Call Center folks read from a script to advise me how to prep for my exam but when i arrived for said exam it could not be performed since the prep script was wrong; when i phoned back to the call center to inform them of their error they insisted their script was correct. Came here for MRI with & without contrast. The place used to be doshi diagnostics, which I heard was not really all that great. I took a chance with this place since it is now Lenox hill and down the block from where I live. The staff is not as bad as the reviews say. They are patient & seem to have great manners. I thought the receptionists would be rude but they were super nice. During the MRI they had to poke me multiple times in 4 areas to get the dye in but that's not their fault as I have bad veins. The wait was about 15-20 mins so it was sooner than I thought. I spend total of 2 hours there for my 2 MRI + waiting time. I had another exam scheduled there but they called me a day before the scheduled date saying they don't have the test/machine... idk why they would schedule me. But overall I would come back if I had to do other tests they do have. read more

Scheduling - The receptionist on the phone that scheduled the appointment was friendly and pleasant. Arrival - The front desk receptionist was friendly and professional. No hiccups with paperwork. Just simple and straightforward. Pre-appointment Nurse - Covid-19 checkup, and reason of the appointment consultation with a nurse, was pleasant and professional. Appointment - Typically it's a scary procedure for most of the people, but the friendliness, professionalism and some humor helped me to be relaxed, confident and feeling no pain at all. Everyone was really friendly but I was uncomfortable with the openness in which those of us waiting could hear what everyone was there for. Privacy is really important in this setting so I'm not sure why there's not more being done for private consulting of why you're there when in the the waiting area. read more

While this is a smaller imaging office they are fully equipped. They have appointments during the day and evening. The office seats about 25 people in the waiting room. The wait usually takes about 15 minutes when its not busy and up to an hour when it is. The employees are mostly friendly and knowledgeable. The bathrooms and office are clean. Today when I came in the office smelled like bleach and it was warm. There was a fan on but it didnt seem like the AC was going. They have a stair lift for disabled patients. They dont have a water cooler but they should. Especially since they tell you to fast and not drink anything for 8 hours for most procedures. I'm very thirsty already and it would be nice to have a water cooler readily available once my sonogram is done. (Nevermind found the water cooler, its downstairs.) Edit: Already updating my review. They called another patient and began walking off with her but I saw the photocopy of my license on the back of the papers she was carrying. I was concerned she called the wrong patient. I stopped her and asked the name on the files. Turns out they mixed up my paperwork with another patient. Good thing I noticed otherwise my results would be screwed up too. Then the nurses started arguing about it in front of all the patients rather than fix the issue which is very unprofessional. This is actually the first time I've had a problem here. First of all. What a DUMP. I had a 430pm appointment and they didn't take me inside until 630pm! If I wasn't going away the following day I would have just left and told them to go F themselves. I went there for a hand MRI. Just my hand...but in this place you have to put your entire body inside their archaic machine...for 35 minutes! To add to that, the inside of the MRI tube was DISGUSTING. It had mucus from someone sneezing or aspirating inside! Completely unacceptable. Now the people there were fine, it's the level of disrepair, uncleanliness of the entire facility and inability to keep track of appointments that are made that are the problems. If you value your time go somewhere else. I've been here twice. Both times were horrible experiences. First time I needed an cat scan, and showed up at my appointment time. After doing 10 minutes of paper work I waited another hour before I was informed that it would be another 2 hours before I was seen. Several other patients during that time walked out after trying to argue with the office manager (who barely spoke English) to get their co-payment back. I should have learned my lesson then, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Second time around I needed to have an MRI. Waiting room was overflowing, arrived on time. After waiting for an hour they call the 12:30 in....but the actual time is 3:45!!!! I told the office manager that I wanted my copayment back, and would have liked a phone call if they were running OVER 3 HOURS BEHIND SCHEDULE!!!!! After haggling with the office manager she refunded my copayment (I used my credit card). Two weeks later I had to call Visa to do a charge back because it never went through! This place is just managed very terrible. There are several places near here that offer the same service that are commited to customer service. My visit at Main Street Radioliolgy was most pleasant. Can you give zero stars? I'm going to try zero stars and see if they let me do it. You always end up talking with other patients in the waiting rooms about how awful all the Doshi places are. They are awful at time management. They will overschedule and fall behind. Once you sign in they take ages to even begin to type in your paperwork. It took me three visits to get a 30 minute MRI of my ankle. The first time wasn't their fault, the second time they told me I could either wait another hour (after I had waited an hour) or reschedule. I was reluctant to come here based on all of the negative reviews, however my experience could not have been better(aside from the fact that I might have multiple herniated discs, obviously not their fault) I scheduled my appointment the day before and they told me to be 30 minutes early for paperwork. Long story short, I showed up @ 4:04pm for a 5pm appointment and was done with the MRI @ 455. I'm sure there are days when they're busy and running behind, and I fully anticipated that for a 5pm appointment. I Was scheduled for a biopsy of the lymph node and was very very nervous I was seen within a decent time but the thing that made my experience the best was a team that worked with me. Dr. Michael Waldman and the nurse Robin and olive who was the technologist those three were amazing they did everything they could to make me feel reassured that it was going to be as comfortable as possible and it was I didn't feel anything. Dr. Michael Waldman was hilarious he made me laugh he made sure I was comfortable he did an excellent procedure I was in and out and I feel great I would definitely recommend this team. read more

Be prepared to waste your whole day. My appointment was scheduled at 11AM, I got there at 10:30 AM and it's 12:00 PM and nowhere near to be seeing. Just don't make any plans for the day if you decide to get your exams done here. Okay, I have to add more to this review. The lab technician presented to the wait area and the receptionist loudly and in front of everyone let her know I was next and told her what I was here for and what type of exam was a getting. When I confronted them and asked why my HIPAA rights weren't being respected, one had a audacity to tell me that HIPAA doesn't protect that information. Are you kidding me? HIPAA protects all patients' intimation whether is written, verbal or electronic. I asked to speak to the supervisor and I'm still waiting. I was also asked when was my last period, what am I allergic to and other sensitive information verbally and in the waiting area in front of every other patient. That's unacceptable! read more

I came here at 9:20 AM, my appointment was at 9:30 AM. It's almost 12:30 and I seem nowhere near being able to get my CT scan. They said someone scheduled my appointment for the wrong day then the rude lady at the front desk said that the website is down and that there was nothing she could do. I called my personal doctor and they had to ask to talk to someone for me even to get the attention of the paperwork filled out. The supervisor proceeded to get that information from the website immediately after I called my doctor to complain. Clearly the woman at the front didn't want to give me the time of day after she probably scheduled me incorrectly. The mistake was definitely on this side I can not believe that I have to wait 3 hours to not even get into my scan. I wish I could give less than 1 Star. read more

Scheduled for 1PM. Left at 5:15PM. Multiple foul ups beginning with their call center which sent me to the wrong place. Only one person handling arrivals. Doshi is the "Starbucks" of radiology. They have a handful of locations in all five boroughs of the city. If you are willing to wait 4 hours for a simple procedure and be treated unprofessionally, this is the place to go. They will apologize and say sorry, but do not mean what they say. Lying is in their second nature. The manager could care less about the patients. Overbooking and wasting people's time is their specialty. Their main priority is to milk the insurance company and leave you stranded if you need any help. I called in five times, got greeted by different high school students working the front office, to get a piece of information sent to my doctor. This is definitely one of those places you only visit when necessary. I accompanied my mom here for her annual mammogram. There were inadequate seating areas which actually flooded into the hallways. Staff was unprepared and somewhat rude. While performing the mammogram, the technician actually pinched my mom and said she has too much fat by her underarms - what? Super weird and unprofessional. However, the machinery itself looked up to date and the rooms were clean which was a plus. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Indifferent staff, ridiculously long waits. Then they like to throw charges at you for everything. Never mind that I just paid $$$ for an MRI, that'll be an extra $15 for the images on a disc to bring to my doctor. Go to Main Street radiology where they treat their patients with respect. They didn't charge me for my results. I will never go to Doshi for anything and highly suggest you go elsewhere too. To top it off, I get home and the disc is does not have my images or results on it. When I call them they have the nerve to tell me that it's my fault, that I don't know how to open the disc. Within an hour of scheduling my appointment, I was seen by a technician and an hour later had my films on a compact disc. This laboratory is not serious or professional, they charge so much money for a biopsy and do not have consideration for their patients. I did 2 biopsys on June 22 and even until now, July 3 have i had no response on my results. On top of that, they are not clear when they send in the data to the Doctor, this is unacceptable, i am not asking them to do this for free. This took out alot of my energy to keep up with, having to continually ask for my results weeks after the initial week they said they would hand me my results. Never will i come back to a garbage place like this. Be very careful. read more

Sat in one waiting room for and hour then moved downstairs to another waiting room where I waited again for 20 minutes. I showed up on time for my appointment. I had a procedure done over a month ago and the doctor was very professional, answered all of my questions, and made the procedure as pleasant as possible because I was very nervous beforehand. This is a clean, professional establishment with some of the friendliest and most efficient staff. There is a parking lot for patients' convenience. The young lady at the front desk helped me with my authorization and prescription issues and got me in on a Friday afternoon. I was also kept informed about when I could expect to go back for my imaging. Jimmy performed my MRI and he was thorough in explaining the procedure highlighting the pros and cons and offering support to me throughout the entire process. I hate to write this because I've always liked all of the Lenox Hill Radiology locations. I was scheduled for a saline sonogram which is a test that's not performed at all locations. The test also has to be performed at a particular time of the month. After trying to schedule this saline sono with New York Medical Imaging over the last 7 months, I thought I would try Lenox Hill Radiology. The day before the appointment, I called to make sure everything was set. I was told the office had the information from my doctor. I also asked about insurance needs. I was told I did not need any authorization from my insurance. Later that day, around 7:30PM, Yun from Lenox Hill Radiology called. He told me that I need to have authorization from my doctor. When I told him I called earlier and was told I was all set for the appointment, he told me that I would most likely need my doctor to authorize the test with the insurance co. first. So, The next day I called the doctor's office, Lenox Hill Radiology and my insurance company to try to figure it out on my own. I spoke with another woman answering the phone at Lenox Hill Radiology who told me to just pay out of pocket since it was a cheap procedure. I was surprised she said that for a number of reasons. The test cost $1200 the last time I had it performed at NY Medical Imaging. I ended up having to cancel the appointment all together because no one seems to know what they're talking about. Can you imagine how the staff must perform the already very uncomfortable procedure if they can't even handle office matters!? While I was on the phone with Yun (who was nice enough to call me back during the late morning hours before the scheduled procedure), I received a message from my doctor's office to say that they just got off the phone with my insurance co., and I did NOT need any authorization after all. Now, I already went ahead, and cancelled the appointment because I cannot imagine how they must handle performing this delicate test if this is the way they handle office procedures. read more

If I could give the Flushing Doshi Diagnostic 1/2 a star I would. I scheduled a very time sensative test when I was supposed to. I get a phone call 2 days prior to the my appointment stating that it was scheduled incorrectly, that I'd have to come in one day early...no biggie I was ok with that. BUT when I went in on the day of my test, 1: it took them about 15 minutes to find me in their system, 2: they gave the wrong paperwork to fill out for my exam, 3: after waiting for about 1/2 an hour they call me to their back copy room to tell me that the 1 and only doctor able to perform the exam was on vacation. She asked me who scheduled my exam. I told them I did and they accused me of giving them the wrong name for the test. I told her that I had in fact given her the correct name because I had received a confirmation call the day before from one of the techs who reminded me of the preparations for the test. I did't get an apology, the woman who accused me of giving her the wrong info was not sympathetic with my medical issues at all but did have the nerve to tell me that she loved my eye shadow...SERIOUSLY?!?! Not only have i been waiting 2 months for this test, I missed out on a day of work. Don't even get me started on the stress all of this has caused and the emotional roller coaster I've been on. I highly suggest you don't waste your time and energy on this place. The admin staff is a mess, nothing is in order, this office is old, outdated, and dirty, no one knows anything, half of them can't speak English correctly, and no one takes the blame for their mistakes. read more

The office only had one machine for my particular exam but three patients waiting for that room. The technician had to take the results to the doctor on another floor , instead of someone else.
