I had an MRI at this location. The person at the front desk, Katrina, was very friendly and helpful. I was very stressed over getting injected with contrast, and she got in touch with my doctor to confirm my procedure. She went above and beyond in the service she provided. I felt really taken care of. And I saw how she maintained the facility and refilled the gowns in the changing area. These medical places are not fun, but I felt Katrina made my experience better. I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated this morning. I had appointment for mammogram and ultrasound 6:40 am. at Flushing downtown. I accidentally mixed up my appointment date and thought it was today instead of tomorrow. Because of that mistake, I got up at 5:00 a.m. and rushed to the office, After arrived, I was told my appointment was tomorrow . But I am hoping they might allow me to wait in case there was an opening. Instead, I was immediately turned away without any consideration of the person of the greeting person of first floor. I had been waiting two months for this appointment. I understand that I made a mistake, but I don't understand why there was absolutely no flexibility or compassion. Many patients have to work and carefully arrange their schedules. Allowing me to wait would have been a simple act of kindness, especially so early in the morning when the office didn't appear to be busy. What makes this even more disappointing is that I've been a patient at this practice for over twenty years. I expected to be treated with a little more understanding and respect after being a loyal patient for so long. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion of this office. This review is not specifically about one Main Street Radiology location, but about my overall experience trying to schedule a coronary CT calcium scoring appointment. The customer service was very disappointing. The representative sounded uninterested, unenthusiastic, and almost annoyed that I was calling, which made me feel like I was inconveniencing her instead of receiving help. The phone wait times are also extremely long. They do offer a callback option, but it feels like the only realistic choice because otherwise you could be waiting on hold forever. There is also no online scheduling option for this exam, which makes the process even more frustrating. The appointment I was offered was very far away, so I called Lenox Hill Radiology and was able to get an appointment for the very next day. Lenox Hill also clearly instructed me not to have caffeine for 12 hours before the exam, while Main Street Radiology never mentioned this preparation. Overall, my experience with the scheduling process, customer service, appointment availability, and communication was disappointing and needs improvement. read more

I can not say enough good things about Julie the MRI tech who was so receptive to my anxiety and went so above and beyond on last Thursday's 11am scheduled (12/18) abdominal/pelvic MRI! There is no way I could've gotten through it without her encouragement. I shared with her all my fears such as coughing as I was just getting over the flu, a very bad stomach and bathroom needs, and of course severe claustrophobia. She was an absolute doll and really showed such a patience and empathy. She talked to me through the microphone in between all the scans and made me feel seen and heard. She is such an asset to your organization and I wish her a joyous holiday celebration! read more

Couldn't go to my preferred location because I had to get two MRI's done. I completed my registration online but the lady that was completing my registration took a long time and was going back and forth without communication to me why it was taking so long, also she didn't ask me about my tattoos. Late on, I found out if you have tattoos, they're suppose to ask you about them and also warn if you feel them heating up while in the matching... something about if the artist used ink with metals. It's official, I'm claustrophobic but not severe. Thank god, I got a good tech and she was so understanding. I told her I don't like tight spaces, so she suggested trying it out to see if i could tolerate it. We tried with the eye mask but I freaked out a bit, since I could remove it because of the cage over my face. Made it through the first one. For the second one, she had to change the head rest and this one would be a tight fit for me with the headphones on, so we did the second one with no headphones. Made it through and came out of the machine shaking. There is no way I'm ever going back in that machine especially since I've had time to think of scenarios where I get stuck. Even though it's an open MRI machine it's still too confined... didn't help seeing the black scrap markings on the ceiling that's super close to your face when they load you in. Overall, my tech was awesome. The waiting area after registering was a little iffy... first section was men's waiting area, them women's waiting area. My MRI results from this location still have not been loaded onto Main Street Patient Portal. There's a parking lot at this location but I didn't drive this time. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience. The X‑ray technician was openly confrontational and completely unprofessional. She insisted I walk to her supervisor's office in a robe simply because I declined to repeat information I had already provided moments earlier. Her aggressive tone, hostile attitude, and condescending behavior were beyond inappropriate. #SHAMEFUL #DISGRACEFUL. How is this tolerated? This is one of their two Bayside locations, and I've been to this site twice (including this time). They texted me with my appointment time and I was sent a link to their online patient portal for early registration. They have streamlined a lot of their operations with their patients and not just with the doctors and hospitals that refers us. They now have texting to make appointments for those who struggles with English and or just providing the right information from their referral. This was definitely a surprise when I was on hold after calling to make my appointment. (But they should really repeat the phone number twice in the same suggestive recording. I'm stuck waiting on the phoneline, and they repeat a few different things in their call waiting loop). As a patient, I can now pre-register online and finish all the check-in paper works. And now that they provide a platform for me to check my previous results and with image viewing options - I can honestly say this is what will be keeping me with MSR. You can't see the reports for same day exams, but it does become available after roughly 5-7 days for sure. My shoulder MRI was 20 minutes in the machine, and I didn't even spend an hour here from walking in the door and out. My first and last visit here took longer and I had to sit in the waiting area for a while before getting processed. So, in my book, today was definitely an improvement and a better experience across the board. Thanks ! read more

The physical experience was fine but the aftermath was a nightmare. Their customer service and billing departments are horrific. No one knows anything. Zero out of 10 do not recommend I switched my appointment to a better facility. Wait time on the phone was always 30 mins or longer, and I put my queue in for a call back. They contacted me ONCE and made an unnecessary phone call to my doctors office saying they WILL not contacting me anymore, very unprofessional on their part. I also have no phone records and NO voicemail was left. They stated I have to call and wait on hold. I have a job like everyone else, so that's pretty impossible to do. I called this place several time as they read the order for my MRI in the computer wrong. The staff was adamant that the referral script was wrong. I was coming in for a MRI of my C& L spin and x- ray of my right hip. They stated it was MRI on my L spine and an x-ray of my c spine and hip. Which was wrong. The manager at my doctor office stated they read the order wrong and they even sent in a new one. No one offered to call my doctors office and speak with them so they can get the correct information. I had to call over 10 times. Which is absolutely ridiculous. I am a medical assistant and I would never treat my patients in this manner. I would go the extra mile so that when my patients are busy with life work etc. they can get their appointments made. The truth is I got one phone call back and I was with a patient therefore I couldn't pick it up. Very rude staff. Unprofessional. Self advocacy isn't a bad thing but your staff surely thinks so. read more

After having read some reviews, I was a little apprehensive about getting an MRI at MSR. Fortunately, my experience has been great. I received a call from them one day after my insurance authorization came through. I scheduled an MRI at 4:30 PM on a Thursday and was told to come in at 4:00 PM to fill out forms. I arrived at 4 PM, filled out some forms and was directed to the waiting room in the back. I only had to wait 15 minutes before the MRI tech called my name. The MRI exam took 15 minutes and I was done. From beginning to end, I was done in 45 minutes...leaving 15 minute left on the parking meter :) read more

Scheduled my husband for a sonogram for his liver with a guy that was practically high on the phone and couldn't even understand a birthdate. Came here with my Mom for an open-air MRI. She has a defibrillator and did not have the correct prescription or information to clear her for the MRI. They went out of their way to call the Dr and follow up and verify what she needed done. Problem solved! While I sit in the waiting room, I am impressed with the way the staff interacts with the other patients. They are helpful patient and smiling and...could it be? Yes, they are kind! Kudos! read more

I had a bad experience with Mr Ray the appointment setter. This test was extremely important to get,this is the Memorial long weekend supposed to be camping with family . Ray assured me that my insurance authorization was pending I told him I speak to my insurance today Thursday and they have nothing on me I called back Mr Ray he says they don't know what they're talking about that he has everything under control will be okay for your Saturday appointment. It's a good thing that I call before I go to my appointment Ray answer the phone and told me I have to reschedule what a waste of my time. All other services was great except for Ray's. read more

I had appointment for MRI at 2.15 pm. Arrived at 1.45 pm completed registration and questions by 2 pm. Guess when I was on table for study......at 3.30 . All this time almost 2 hours they kept me in waiting are u dressed (underwear only) in gown. You can imagine how it was cold unpleasant with 5-7 guys sitting around going in and out. Terrible experience. No care about customers. None came apologies. None came to inform that study is delayed. Nothing. With my copy for MRI 150$. I would expect much better service. I would recommend Lenoxhill radiology. Better service much better waiting time and more personal attention. read more

To make an appointment is incredibly hard, it take me a whole week still didn't even get an appointment, everytime I call they make me hold for half hour or 40min then when is my turn the call went blank, then they tell you to text, I text takes me two day to here from them and my appoinment still incomplete. They think we have nothing better to do then stay on the phone or play texting game with them. I hope next time my doctor don't send me here. read more

Do not go here. This is the worst Main Street radiology location. I noticed that there are a lot of children who are working there and don't have respect for the company enough to hold their private conversations in the comfort of their own homes. I walked in there today and left without seeing the doctor due to the unprofessionalism that was exhibited in this facility. I have no clue how good their radiology services are, but their customer service is disgusting. After getting approval and making an appointment 2 days in advance, trudging down to my appointment in a massive snowstorm, filling out their 10 page registration, it turns out they failed to tell me anything about the insane deductible of $2,200 I would have to pay up front prior to getting my MRI. After calling my insurance the next day, they then decided to lie to my insurance provider and tell them they did in fact inform me of the $2,200 upfront payment over the phone when I made the appointment. I know for a fact if they did tell me this, I would have immediately looked elsewhere. They are very unprofessional and very dishonest, I would never go back nor recommend this place to anybody. I had an appointment for a CAT scan. The intact was efficient. The staff were polite. The technician was friendly and gentle and made sure that I was comfortable. When the radiologist realized that I needed an MRI as well, they were able to fit me in that same day. I was very pleased with their service and professionalism. read more

My experience here was amazing. My technologists were Nick M and Chris P, and my nurse was Bryan. All three were extremely sweet and made sure I was comfortable the whole time (two hour test). This place is the worst they have you come to the appointment 10 min before which in reality it's 1hour and you still aren't being seen. When you complain they say they are having trouble with the machine, but 2 min later they take you in but you are only waiting in another room. My app was at 8am and here at 930 I'm still waiting in another waiting area I'm deciding to cancel and go somewhere else, they really know how to waste you time. read more

While Geri held my hand, Tiffany stroked my arm and the Dr walked me through every step. Geri even called me the next day to check on me! I'm no stranger to CT scans or MSR but this location is the most timely location I've ever been to! My appointment was at 8:30am, they required an 8am arrival; by 8:35 I was walking out to my car! Their waiting rooms are clean(there are multiple waiting rooms), there's even a complimentary charging station. This five star review goes entirely to the friendly radiographer named Nicholas who assisted me and my mother on New Years Eve. My mother has Parkinson's which makes it very difficult for her to walk or move around on her own. He was so nice and understanding, even carried her onto and out of the bed where she received a DAT scan. (Above and beyond, thank you so much!) He shows genuine care for patients and was very easy to speak to. He explained the whole procedure thoroughly and called me to let me know when to come back to the facility when she was done with her appointment which was greatly appreciated. Too bad I couldn't give them zero stars!!!! This facility has been taken over by Lenox hill radiology, thought that takeover would have been a good thing.. not so! My husband was referred fir pet/ct scan because he has been seriously hill with drastic weight loss. Our appoint was scheduled for 10:40 am. When they confirmed appointment they had changed it to 11 am. We were told exam from start to finish would be 2 hrs. A long time for someone not feeling well. We arrived early, at 11 am all paper work was completed. The tech said the injectable had not arrived and that it would be there in half an hour. Said to pick him up in 2 1/2 hrs.I returned tech said another hour and a half asked him to push out disc so we can get out of here. He said it takes s long time to burn a disc about another half hour. So now still sitting, waiting to take my husband home and fir should have been 2 hours now approaching 4 hours. Never go there again for either of us. Not as confident in the radiological review because of the way this was handled. Am hoping for a competent radiologist review that is complete snd accurate. That remains to be seen. read more

The whole experience was super organized and facilities were clean. However, when I called to schedule an appointment (it was my first time), they told me they have access to LHR images for comparison. They re-assured me again, at the time of my appointment that they have access to review LHR records (my previous imaging). Now, I read my reports, and are mostly inconclusive, or incomplete - because - old imagining was not available for review. This is just hassle for me, as I my doctor will send me to do more imaging. read more

I went for my mammogram this week and got a result that really scared me and left me extremely worried. I asked the receptionist who was very helpful and seemed compassionate to let me speak to a Dr. since I was panicking with fear. It's my nature to worry alot about medical issues and speaking directly to a Dr would have made me feel so much better. The receptionist went "downstairs" to check if the Dr who read my mammo was present and she said she wasn't so I told her any radiologist would do to calm my fears. She went "downstairs" again to check to see if another Dr was present. She told me that NO DOCTORS were at the facility. I cannot for one second believe that there were no Dr's at the facility. They simply could not be bothered to talk to a nervous patient. I am so disappointed in this place. I have been coming here for 10 years or more and this incident was horrifying. A medical facility that has no Dr present: I CALL BULLSHIT This review is for the 44-01 Francis Lewis location. My time with this place is done. This was the final straw. I'm taking my records elsewhere and doing my sonogram in a different facility. Maybe there will be a Dr. present at the next place. *eye roll* read more

i want to start off saying how i never write reviews! i had an mri guided biopsy of my breast today and i had the most amazing radiologist and nurses by my side. appointment was at 7:30 and i was taken in right around that time. the doctor had to take pictures a few times before the biopsy and every time they took me out of the mri machine i felt the nurse's hand on my back gently stroking me which made me feel like i was not alone and for someone that was super stressed it really helped. the doctor explained everything before and during the procedure to ensure i understand and that i'm comforts with what was going on. read more
