Excellent experience. Facility is pleasant, clean, and comfortable. No long wait. Friendly staff. Took about 20 minutes to get in and out. Why sit in a tube when you can sit up and watch football?

    Review Highlights - Stand-Up MRI

I am extremely claustrophobic, even having trouble with an open MRI; however, Stand-Up MRI in Yonkers offers a stressless alternative.

Yes, 5 stars.....for a radiology facility…read more Without getting into too much detail, I work in radiology myself - though am not affiliated with this establishment. I came here on a referral because I wanted to get seen as soon as possible and I'll admit I was also curious to see what the "competition" looked like. What I got was a pleasant surprise. The staff are great - friendly, welcoming, and professional. The waiting room is excellent and comfortable. I didn't wait longer than 5 minutes, but in this waiting room I wouldn't have complained waiting longer. It's like a comfortable waiting room with a table, tv, couch, chairs and the coffee machine. If someone is coming with you and waiting while you are doing your exam, they'll be just fine in this waiting room. I needed an MRI - though they do have CT scans, Ultrasounds, and x-rays here as well. The name "open" can be deceiving to some who are not in the know. Again, I come from radiology and have worked within these modalities, so I know what "open" means, but a claustrophobic person is likely thinking something else. It means essentially that the bore (tube) is wider than the coffin-like MRI machines of the past, which will give a more comfortable fit to some - of course it depends on the exam one is doing. The picture quality is of course very good as a 3T machine will deliver. The room itself is modern looking with a nice video monitor on the ceiling for those doing exams in which their head is out of the machine. The machine was fine and takes great pictures. I would imagine the CT machine as well as the other modalities here have the same basic layout. Everything from the changing room to the exam rooms were clean. When the exam was finished, they gave me a cd of the images after a few minutes (I picked up the report days later). Always important to wait for your images as you never know when they will be needed. They have a parking lot with enough spaces. The hours are up until 7pm, which are convenient for those who work during the day. So while there are facilities, offices, and hospitals that can offer up some of the same of what this place offers, this is a nice option for someone who wants a good service overall that they can depend on. I don't normally comment on such places because I do work in the field, but this was a nice place and I would surely come here again if needed one of these exams.

Check-in was seamless with a polite young lady at the desk in a clean and empty waiting area. I was quickly moved to the back where I changed into a gown and securely stored my belongings during the procedure. Stephanie the tech greeted me and explained everything to me. She was very patient and pleasant during my slight panic attack. She gave me what I called a panic button and eye mask to rest my eyes as I was shutting them tightly trying to get through the procedure. Her voice was calming and reassuring when she checked in and said how many minutes were left. Thanks to her I was able to successfully complete the procedure. Thank you Stephanie!

I'm giving them five stars because the scheduling was super easy and flexible online. I rescheduled multiple times with no issues and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately we could not get a good photo of our son's face on our first visit. His umbilical cord was blocking his face. They were nice enough to reschedule us again at no charge two weeks later. However, we had the same issue with his foot blocking his face on the second visit. Our tech was kind enough to offer us a third visit but at that point I had given up. Understandably there is no refund in this situation. We just had bad luck but the experience itself was still pleasant and the place is very clean and nicely decorated. I recommend this place just be mindful that the position of your baby may not be the best for a good picture.

First time coming to Hudson Valley Radiology. At first my appointment was set for the Yonkers…read morelocation but I was called and asked if I could move to the Tuckahoe location because the tech at Yonkers got sick. So needing my CAT scan I opted for the Tuckahoe location. So it's in a nice location: not sure if they have a parking lot or garage for guest but I ended up parking in the street. Which was fine because I was right in front of the building. You call them to let them know you're outside and they let you know when to Come in for COVID reasoning. The lady at the front desk already had my paper work ready. All I had to do was verify my paper work and initial. I was in the waiting room. They had guard shields between all the chairs so you weren't in close contact with anyone. It wasn't a long wait which was nice. And then once I was called in a nice lady who was the tech walked me to the room to get my scans. She was very kind and generous. And then she walked me out and I was done. Overall it was a nice experience. Only thing I would recommend is turning on the lights in the hall and in the waiting room cause it was kind of dark and felt a bit weird.

Receptionist checked my insurance and assured me services were covered. On day of appointment I presented my Rx from primary care physician specifying 2 services (mammogram and ultrasound). Fortunately I have means to pay the outstanding bill, but it's unconscionable that they bill for services not requested and not provided.
