I've read the other reviews, and I've never had the same issues the other reviews have had. I'm always treated very well, and I've never had an issue getting my blood taken. They always get it right on the first try. The phlebotomists are always very friendly and are careful with each step. My only complaint has nothing to do with the staff but as the company as a whole. I don't like that they got rid of the receptionist. I liked having someone there so I could ask questions so I didn't have to wait to be called back before getting an answer. This matters at times because occasionally, the answer to my question could dictate if I can get my blood drawn or not so it would save everyone time. read more

Waited a whole year to review. Been here dozens of times to care for my elderly parents. Have not since been to Quest in a Full year since because person seemingly in charge was unnecessarily rude and very unprofessional. There were 2 lines at kiosk at 7am door-opening time and she helped people in front of us but did not ask if my elderly mother or anyone else had an appointment, which we did for 7:10am (still waiting in kiosk line now beyond appointment time to check in) When I finally got to enter info for appointment, she soon came out Yelling that we were over 15 minutes Late and therefore Not going to be seen until at least 11am! As I tried to explain that we were inside waiting room since opening time the whole time and could be vouched for she would Not listen At All and Rudely Shut the Door on us. Another employee should have spoken that we were there early but only sheepishly stared and said nothing. About 12 people in waiting room saw and heard this. Nobody checked waiting room for people with an appointment the whole time. Had to go to hospital for blood test since mom was fasting and had to wait another hour. We have since driven right past Freedom/Watsonville Quest over the last year avoiding paying for any of this kind of terrible treatment and spent hours more in travel time. This place "used" to be okay. Was there recently and found the staff rude and the phlebotomist poor. She stuck a big needle into my arm at a weird angle and left a big bruise with a weird red ring around the site. I'm a little worried by the look of it. I will go elsewhere from now on. read more

it's impossible to find. I drove around for 10 or 15 minutes trying to find the location. There's no signage. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment. They let me check in and wait for 10 minutes before they told me that no one would see me today. I'm coming back again to rate because Andrea at the Freedom site in Watsonville did such a great job with me. I have collapsed veins from chemotherapy and dread going in to get my blood drawn cause it can be a nightmare but once again the professionals at quest were able to get me in one stab amazing. I'm just so relieved and grateful, because I've had hospital visits where 5, 6, 7 stabs theu couldn't get any blood they had to try the foot and it's just horrifying so again I don't know why there's only a two star review for this lab but I give them five stars every time I go in which is four times a year read more

Came her twice and the second time, the tech kept missing my vein to draw blood. I'm a pretty young and healthy guy with easy to see veins, so not sure how it was so hard. The real fun came with the bill. I have provided them valid insurance info multiple times and they keep saying they will update my bill. Literally have spent hours on the phone over this. Well, just got a letter from a credit collector and it is the original amount. The incompetence of this company is incredible and I will never, ever use them again. Showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment to find 16 people waiting, many of whom had earlier appointments. Waited 45 minutes for blood draw with the television blasting loudly the whole time. I'll use LabCorp In the future; they always honor appointment times. I've never waited more than 10 minutes there. read more

Fast, efficient and Thomas, the lab tech who took my blood, not only did a painless withdrawal, his puncture left barely a mark on my arm (and I had a lot of blood taken). Nice, clean place and bathroom. Yes, there are a lot of people waiting sometimes, but it goes fairly quickly. Just sit down and catch your breath for a minute. Horrible lab technicians...very rude & not accommodating to say the least. The 3 ladies (including me) all had appointments but yet they took others ahead of us. The one lady had an appointment @ 2:30 but, because she left her home phone number (sign in doesn't specify cell) they said they could not text her. She finally got in @ 4ish. Other lady left as so frustrated as nobody came out. When I got in I asked the time turn around as having surgery on Tuesday. Gal wanted me to go out to waiting room so I could call Dr. as said results would take 4-5 days which would be after my surgery date. Overall the most frustrating appt. I have ever encountered! The staff at the draw stations do their best so this is not about them. The corporation has all but disintegrated over the past year. System down three times (but need timed test); web links don't work; phlebotomists can't access specimen requirements; if multiple tests they will do just one; they have turned into a retail blood test shop; if a test has two parts they will do just one; wait room chaos with people trying to get access to a human (only computer check-in allowed). Quest supposed to call me after a serious error, never did. I know how clinical labs are supposed to work and this is unforgivable. Bad harmful medicine. read more

I so appreciate it when anything medical is easy, efficient, and people are nice and normal. Getting my blood draw here was exactly that. I made my appointment online same-day, showed up on time, was taken back with five minutes, hardly any wait time. My technician was fast and pleasant and explained everything to me. Had to go in for routine blood work. I scheduled my appointment on-line in advance. The first time you go to this Lab be prepared to add some time before your appointment to find the correct office/suite in this office complex maze. Why did I give review four stars? They have no receptionist and the expectation is that their clients check-in via an electronic device. I didn't know my work order number but thankfully you can bring up your appointment with your phone number if it is on file. I gave this review four stars for the great phlebotomist named Crystal that drew my blood. Friendly and cheerful at 7 am with a waiting room of fasting people who need their blood work taken. Crystal is the first phlebotomist in a long time not to leave my arm bruised up like I had been in a car accident. We don't have lots of medical labs to choose from in Watsonville and I appreciate getting a lab technician that performed her job at such a high level. One of the better lab experiences I have had in a long time. read more

At some point, this person came out, by the time I got up and went to the door to walk in, she had "gone on break" because she called me and I didn't answer (what??). I was very impressed by my recent visit to this lab. I arrived with a full Room of other people waiting and my heart kind of sank but I was out in 15 minutes. The registration is automatic the iPad and very quick. Within 5 minutes my name was up on a board with the estimated time I would have to wait. This is great for people who need to visit the bathroom and aren't sure if they will miss having their name called. Also if one wanted to go outside to check on the dog in the car or something like that knowing that you have 8 minutes to go is very valuable. As usual, the staff was fast ,thoughtful and friendly. They were careful to double check that the order was correct and that the tubes were properly labeled. Safety, efficiency, friendliness. 5 stars read more

Even though I was late (I couldn't find the entrance among the maze of buildings) and close to closing time, the staff member greeted me pleasantly and helped me get right back. She took care of separate doctors requests and finished the tests promptly and with gentle care. I only went there because I have am seeing a specialist out of town next week who is not in my group. She changed my opinion of Quest. I gave it 4 stars because the address is 202 NOT 212 so it was hard to find being my first time there. read more

I would rather give this place a zero. I have not used this lab for a long time and this morning I was reminded why not. I made an online appointment for 0800. When I arrived there was no one in the office. Two stand alone kiosks directed me to sign in. I did. The kiosk responded with a number and said I would be called. 30 minutes later I had to find someone to tell them I was still waiting. They couldn't find my registration and told me to sign in again and someone would call in 10 minutes. No one did. When I found another person she told me I had done it wrong; repeated the same steps I did and said that I would be called in 10 minutes. Another 10 minutes went by and 2 people who had just come in were called and the door to the lab rooms was closed as I complained. I left. I will be calling my doctor asking him to send me to a different lab and never using Quest in Watsonville CA again. read more

The lab has moved across the patio to a new, larger location. Lobby easily seats 24. I always made an appointment for my lab work. Previously you could wait as long as 3 hours if you didn't have an appointment and the lobby was always packed. I arrived for my 10am appointment and their were 2 people waiting in the lobby and 2 people checking in. The receptionist was a little cranky but still efficient. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The lab technician says they are an entire new team. Complete turn around. read more

If there is a system, it should be followed!!!!!!! I signed in to do a drop-off. The system put me at the top of the line and indicated a 1 minute wait. People below me kept getting called. After this happened repeatedly, I asked why they were being called before me, since it said I was at the top of the list. They answered that they were there before me. I only had a drop off; why do they have a system if it isn't followed? The previous time they made a mistake and caused me to have to repeat a procedure. I thought that anyone could make a mistake, but now I think that's a normal thing with this place. I'll go somewhere else next time! read more

Very disappointing. Got there near closing which probably didn't help. After looking over the lab slip she was confused by some of the tests requested. She said she would have to contact the doctors office and since it was late she would call me the next day. Three days later I went in and requested my lab slip back since nothing had been done. They handed the slip back with no apology or explanation. They don't supply a phone # where you can speak with anyone. Quest seems to have a monopoly on testing but I will look for someone else. I saw something in the reviews about labcorp so I guess I will try contacting them. read more

This location opens at 8:00 am on Saturdays and I scheduled an appointment at 8:00 am on a Saturday morning because of commitments during the day. I got there at 7:45 and waited for the door to open. When the attendant opened the door, I informed her that I have an appointment at 8:00 am and she told me to wait in line to sign in behind patients who are walk in. I tried to wait a little bit but just the sign in process takes forever. In short, what's the point of my appointment? If I wait in line I will not be able to catch up with my commitment at 8:30.
