If you are looking for an advocate for a health issue, this is not the place. Lab results took a month to complete, when I was told that they would likely take about 4 days. They were not willing to reach out to the lab. They were not willing to retest and send to a different lab. To them this is a job, not a passion. After being ill for over a month and coming in twice, with no progress (no new tests, no new medication, no ideas). The third time, I was late exactly 10 minutes because I was printing lab results that, had finally, just arrived (after approx 1 month) and I knew that they would not have them, and I thought it would be helpful to bring them. I was told that they have a late policy and could not see me. There was no one else in the office.

She recommended that I drink a lot of water before I arrive and she has a table where patients who tend to get light-headed can lie down during their blood draw. This has helped me so much! Now I don't dread blood tests anymore. I have had to go to a different ECHN lab (on Hartford Turnpike in Vernon) while this one was under renovations (until June 2018 I think) and it also went very well. I asked to lie down for my blood draw and was totally fine. The phlebotomist was another very pleasant person and I had a great experience there. I would highly recommend either of these ECHN outpatient labs.

It was Christmas Day, I looked up my policy and it said nothing about increased deductible on Holidays. I showed them my card and they argued with me. She tells me BCBS will refund me. After this the Doctor goes, there is no xray so I can't even subscribe you additional meds with out you driving 45 minutes away for an tray. I am coughing so hard, driving there was a challenge. They did not inform us what was in and out of network, and what our approximate cost would be. They did a culture on her toe, not approved by her insurance, no notice on that. She was given a RX for antibiotics and we were on our way. I got a bill for $264 later, after my copay. When I called to inquire, I was talked to like I had no brain in my head. I'm a teacher with her masters degree, so not appreciated. She told me about the culture and I said that we never were told the approximate price for the culture. I also asked what the results were as were never informed. She said that there was no need to call us since the antibiotics she was on did cover her condition. I pressed asking what condition, what were the results. She said STAPH!! What the heck? We weren't told to watch it, it could be serious, weren't told to call back, they just let it go and charged the money. I didn't even know that could be the cause of her hives. BEWARE!! This place is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
