Care quality was awful and is rude. Never available when needed. Thanks for nothing. Use a different location.

I'll admit, I was a little nervous walking into this Labcorp location after seeing the 2.6-star rating. Thankfully, however, my experience couldn't have been more different -- it was truly a 5-star visit. I originally scheduled an appointment for 8:45 AM, but due to traffic I arrived about 10 minutes late. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to reach a real Labcorp employee through their phone service (press 7) and let them know. They were incredibly accommodating and reassured me that it wouldn't be an issue and that my appointment spot would still be available when I arrived. Although it's a typical Labcorp location, the check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff was incredibly friendly from the moment I arrived. The phlebotomists were patient, professional, and kind. When the first phlebotomist had trouble finding a vein, she didn't rush or force it -- instead, she took the time to get someone who could, which I genuinely appreciated. That's when James stepped in, and he was absolutely phenomenal. He immediately picked up on the fact that I was nervous and went out of his way to make me feel more at ease, keeping the conversation light and genuinely comforting. There was a small miscommunication about how many vials were needed (it ended up being 8), which meant I had to be restuck to collect the remaining 4. Even with that, James remained calm, reassuring, and incredibly professional throughout the entire process. Technically, I was stuck three times, and as someone who hates getting blood drawn, I can honestly say this was still not a bad experience at all. The care, empathy, and professionalism - especially from James - made what could have been a stress situation surprisingly manageable. If you're hesitant because of the rating, don't be. Based on my visit, this location absolutely deserves a higher score.

Wow, what a difference a virus makes. I'm guessing they had to close the Lakewood location because…read moreit consisted of a tiny waiting room with 5 or 6 chairs and 1 tech/receptionist. Fast forward to Fall, 2020. Brand-spanking new office. Finding it though is a little like a scavenger hunt. Pay attention to my notes! This lab is located inside the Texas Neurology Center ("TNC") [sorry, legal profession here], behind the Beeman hotel. Turn into the parking lot just before getting to SMU Blvd. Drive straight past the hotel and you will see the parking lot for both Tenants and Visitors to the left of the TNC. There was plenty of parking in the garage on a count of it being so new. The sign says that Visitors should park on levels 5 and 6, but it was virtually empty at 9am so I stopped at 3. The elevator banks are on the north side, stairs on the south side of each level. On the first floor, there is no signage to indicate that you should go inside the glass double doors that make you think that it is strictly for TNC patients. Not so. When you go in, you will stop at the reception guest, get asked a few Covid-related questions, get your temp taken, and will then be directed to Lab Corp. It is a left and then immediate right down the long hallway, past the reception area for TNC, past office doors with no numbers, and almost at the end, you will see the LabCorp sign on the left. They will have two (2) check-in machines to scan your QR code given to you by text shortly after you schedule your appointment. If they aren't working, simply walk up to the window and take a sanitized pen, sign in, then place the pen that now contains your cooties in the box marked something to that effect. I had a 9:30am appt but received a message at 9am that they could take me as soon as I arrived, so I drove the 1.2 miles down the road, checked in at 9:14 and exited the lab at 9:17. The girl arriving at the same time as me was finishing up as I walked out. Facilities are nice, new, and modern. Best lab experience I've ever had - hands down. Blanca says check 'em out!
