Prefer another location that at least has water in waiting area. This one has bathroom and water behind locked doors Went for 3hr glucose test and the solution wasn't refrigerated like it has been all the other times I've had to do similar test. The concentrated dextrose solution is extremely disgusting and drinking it cold is supposed to help patients tolerate it better. No consideration for patients by not keeping it refrigerated, esp when they knew a patient was coming in for this via appt. The other thing i highly dislike about quest is that their stupid TVs are always BLASTING ads about the tests they offer. Can't do anything bc their ads are irritatingly loud and keep u from hearing anything else or concentrating on your work if u bring a laptop to work on while waiting the stupid 3hrs read more

I had an appointment at quest for my son ( the one on 7115 Green Back Lance Citrus Heights ) And there service was so incredibly bad , my Sons appointment was at 10:00 and mind you he is 7 years old and for that he has to fast he was super hungry because he hasn't ate and we just wanted to get through with the appointment I arrive on time and I'm waiting, waiting and waiting at least until 11:00 and the whole time I was telling this one lady that was their that my son had an appointment and she just kept on telling me to " Look at the screen" and to just keep waiting, she was super rude and mean dident get her name but she was a short Chinese Woman. it took me screaming just for this better lady to come and finally help me out. don't book an appointment here not good. read more

This is a race related. I showed up as a walk-in along with several other people at 7am. One of the younger gentleman that signed up as a walk-in after other people and myself. Was later took it in before all of us after speaking Russian to Russian employee. I 100% believe this was a form of discrimination that favored this young gentleman. Very slow service. Some staff is polite, but very slow when it comes to walk-ins If there is time in between scheduled appointments staff still make you wait longer times. And the kiosk equipment to check in doesn't work and then left having to wait on staff to come out to check you in , even more delays. And then I was skipped due to staff error taking the person after me with no regard. Manager of this location should focus on quality service and care. Carmichael location is a way more professional, get in get out whether you have an appointment or a walk in. read more

If you go here for a lab draw, hopefully it is on a day the "floater" isn't there. "Kenny", is combative and rude, is extremely bothered by questions or small inconveniences that result in "doing work". There is a reason that this location has such a low star rating. Really unimpressed with this location. I think the only reason they have 1.5 is because people can do 0. I had an appointment and when I arrived I saw a group of people standing outside the door. There was a sign on the door that said 'closed due to emergency on Nov 19' then lists the next nearest location. Even though many people had appointments for this location they did not get notified that it was closed and even got reminders to go to this location. When I went to the other location they were not able to honor my appointment and I had to wait longer that I would have. I asked my phlebotomist why this location was closed. What was the emergency? She said it was too cold in the building. I am not sure it the lack of communication is the company's problem or this location rather way horrible experience. read more

NEVER TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE! I have a 5 month old baby girl that gets frequent blood draws for her thyroid issues. I always go to the location off of Coyle and have never had an issue. The 2 ladies who tried to draw her blood today were so incompetent and when they were feeling for a vein one lady goes I think I feel a vein but it's so tiny, and then she starts trying to stick her and I went wait are you sure you can feel a vein because I don't want you to poke my daughter if you're not sure, and she had so much attitude and said "well obviously I'm not going to poke her if I can't feel a vein". SHE MISSED, and didn't get any blood and my daughter was screaming and all that trauma for nothing. She didn't even apologize after she just said well she has tiny veins..... OBVIOUSLY SHES A BABY!!!!! Never ever again will I take my baby to a quest. I'm not an angry person but this experience made me so angry I almost cussed her out on the spot. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. It is NOT simple to make an appointment . The robot on the phone will offer you an appointment, tell you it's not available and give you the same dates to choose from(this went on for 4 days) You CANNOT schedule online & absolutely no people to help in the waiting room just a tablet. First off, this new location is beautiful. Waiting room is huge, the online check in was a breeze and I only waited for about 5 minutes (because I checked it about 8 minutes before my appointment time). Rose was fabulous, fast easy in and out. The only reason I couldn't give this place 5 stars was because they let a man sit in the waiting room with his mask off, knuckle deep up his nose. He must have been waiting for a fasting blood draw.... because he was having boogers for breakfast. Even though I turned my chair to face the opposite direction, I was about 10 seconds away from sitting outside in the 30 degree weather to wait to avoid the sound of the slurp off his finger. Since I was not asked to sanitize or wash my hands before going back, I assume he touched all sorts of things with his nose&mouth fingers on the way back to the room, so 4 stars for Rose... but I can't return due to the memory that I won't be able to shake. read more

They're normally really nice. One flaw is they are clearly irked by people who don't make appointments. So much so that there's an irritated vibe radiating from staff if they have to deal with a walk in; regardless of why a patient might not be able to wait for an appointment. Staff can be cold and act in an almost punitive way towards them. Though it may not be staff to blame. When I walked in, there was an 86 year old man trying to navigate the touch screen by himself. Quest has removed the front desk areas where there used to be staff available to help; and instead they put a touch screen with an unspoken expectation that people born around WW2 would easily understand the technology. So instead of watching him suffer without any help from Quest staff, I began helping him scan his ID and insurance card. It was 5 minutes before 11am when, for the first time, a staff member rushed into the empty lobby to lock doors and tell us they were closing for lunch and if we "wanted to try to walk in, try again in an hour". The 86 year old man was confused by the fast talking, hurry up and get out attitude of the staff member. So I explained what was going on to the elderly man as we left the lobby to the parking lot. We said our goodbyes, and left. Like I said, the staff at Quest are normally nice; and I get their frustrations. Quest has reduced staff, but increased the burdens on the employees that are left. Quest phlebotomists are now asked to work the lobby, input insurance info, deal with billing, take credit cards, Answer a myriad of questions from patients, and still poke needles with skill and accuracy. I don't know what they make but I doubt it's more money for all the newly combined work. Anyway, I feel bad for the older generations, because they grew up knowing everyone at the doctors office; and everyone knew them and honestly cared. Because of Quest automation and an overworked skeleton staff, there's no more room or time to care about people. Especially if you have the audacity to walk in without an appointment. read more

I have a scheduled lab test this morning at 7:30, went there early and checked in. A big white girl assisted me and she told me that there was no lab test request from my doctor and I have to call my doctor's clinic to ask for an online request or physical paperwork. So I told her that the clinic opens at 9am and I don't think I can wait for that because I fasted for 10 hours already and I'm hungry so maybe I'll just reschedule, she said ok. But while I was still at their lobby I remembered that Quest sent me an email regarding my doctor's request for some important tests so I looked for that email and showed it to her. She didn't even bother to look at the email or offer to check it again ( I know she only did once when she asked for the spelling of my name), she just arrogantly said on a raised voice "I told you I need a physical request coz it's not in our system!" I told her but this email is already from Quest, acknowledging that my doctor sent a test request! She didn't answer but just turned around and bang and lock the door! What a shitty attitude. She's so rude! I wish I got her name! People like her is not an asset to the company. She's a lazy incompetent employee. read more

Quest Lab on Greenback in Citrus Heights should be leveled and rebuilt. it is impossible to talk to a person - as in in zero opportunity- which is unforgivable considering the service they provide. I made an appointment on line for my 90 year old mom at this lab, and when we got there, they had no record of her appointment, and they wouldn't see her. if I could talk to a person I might have been able to straighten it out. I am irate that they save money this way and their patients suffer for it. read more

I cannot say enough about the poor quality of Quest Labs. They are not compassionate, you seldom see a receptionist at the desk at the one on Greenback lane, (maybe lack of employers) and even if you have an appointment, they cannot always get you in on time. Today I was appalled when a couple had brought in their very old father. I helped them sign in (machine, no one on one person), and it came up "You are 10 minutes late. Reschedule and come back another time!" The woman commented it is so hard to get him out of bed. So I yelled to the back room for someone to come out and help. Instead a lady came out and said my name. I started to explain "These people...", and before I could say anymore, this lady looks past me and just says my name again. I looked at her and said that is me, but these people need to go first and I will wait. Her comment, "Oh you are giving up your appointment?" I said "Yes I will let them have it, and wait here." "Oh no no no you have to reschedule and come again!" Wow, it was either make this poor old man come back or me and here in California at over $6 a gallon, not a problem, right? i just walked in to the lab to get some tests done. it is a self check in it scanned my license and took my phone number and said i would be seen in the order that i arrived and that i was officially checked in. I sat there like an idiot for 45 minutes a lab tech came out and called somebody who arrived after me. i asked how much longer i would have to wait. she asked if i had an appointment and i said i checked in as a walk in. she said i have to make an appointment to be seen as she walked away. another tech came out and i asked her about it She said you need an appointment and where does it say we take walk ins? I told her at the kiosk and on the screen in the office that walk ins were ok. this rude young women said where does it say that? we don't take walk ins. there is only two of us. what the hell? i wasted 45 min out of my busy schedule-what a scam!!!! read more

Nobody is there to help, 0 compassion from the employees. There were only 2 people on the waitlist, 0 people with appointments and nobody being seen in the back. At 4pm, their closing time, they choose to finally come out and get the one person waiting ahead of me and decide to finally come out and let me know that I cannot be seen. After being on a waiting list for over 20 minutes, this was extremely rude and a waste of my time. They could have easily come out once seeing my check in to let me know, not wait until closing time.
