I had quickly learned making appointments was the way to go to save time waiting as there as a lot of walk-ins. Newbury park is no different, but the process is smooth, at least at opening mid-week (7:00am). Even at opening there were ppl waiting outside for techs to open. Anyway, this Quest has 2 check-in computers, takes less than a minute to punch in name, d.o.b., if you have an appt and if you have drop off or lab. I was the 5th person in line and was drawn no more than 10min after I arrived. The tech was nice, and process of her data entry and draw was quick and painless. Building and facilities were spotless and office was easy to access on entry level.

Waited 10 min and was then informed that I had missed my app and could register as a walk-in. No thanks - will never be back. On to Labcorp which has great customer service!!

Having my own experience with independent labcorp offices in Orange County, they are notorious for being busy, unorganized, a bit unsanitary, and sometimes, unskilled phlebotomists. However, this LabCorp location in Camarillo, in Ventura County, is quite the opposite. The office is inside a business building. I had to navigate through the paper signs with arrows within the office like a scavenger hunt to find it. Quite fun but not as professional. Speaking of not being professional, there was an emergency, hence they emailed me to come early because they will shut down the office in the afternoon. I would normally get upset, but in this case, I'm glad I went earlier because the whole experience from start to finish took about 5 minutes top! It's the fastest, painless blood draw I've ever had in my life. The receptionist who greeted me at the front desk is also the phlebotomist! She was really efficient with her job because I just handed her the order form, and she took care of everything! (Of course, I filled out most of my information online prior to coming when making an online appointment, but regardless, this is the quickest intake I've ever had). She was a skilled phlebotomist because I barely felt the needle going in. By the next day, I already had my blood result! Every Labcorp, nay, any blood draw place should take after this model. This is a one-employee-run office that runs circles around a full office where no one gets anything done.

She infrequently answers emails and then complains if you send too many. She took my blood the first visit where she brought in her new puppy. She paid more attention to the puppy than me and then charged me $300 for the visit. Okay. Hopefully she can fix my issue. The blood work came back. The report showed I had pre diabetes, lupus and some other horrible disease. She said I needed her to interpret the findings. Then she gave me 20 vitamins to purchase and take every day! I'm still having sugar issues and my eyes going wonky. OH!!!! And she charged me for a telephone visit to go over these results. Another $300!!! I took the report to my GP. I was so freaked out!!! He did blood work and I was fine. No diabeties no lupus. No other diseases. Fast forward 6 months. And my sugar is still messed up. My eyes are still wonky. Sent her an email asking why my sugar is still messed up. She didn't respond. Sent another email. She responded with an appointment. Sent back that time didn't work. Never heard back. In my opinion and experience, if you have medical issues, this doctor is not for you. If you need help and communication with your doctor. This is not the one. I have never had a hormone doctor charge me for tests and then another charge to review them!!! $600 later and a whole lot of stress because of her blood tests, I still have a sugar issue and my eyes are still going wonky!
