Okay so here is the story. I bought a test kit from Amazon to find out what my blood type was. I never used it so when Quest offered a special price on a test I bought it. Since COVID Quest has removed any reception staff from their offices, any appointments need to be done via the app or the website. I don't like not being able to talk to someone when going in for an appointment, but I guess that is the way of the future. I arrived a bit early and checked in. Waited and was called on time. The Phlebotomist was a very nice person but had a problem getting blood. I should have had more water before I went in, but I have never had issues like this before. She stuck me 3 times and finally got a sample. My arm is still black and blue from that last needle stick. I probably won't visit this location again. As I mentioned it could have been my fault too. At least I got my blood type, should have used the Amazon test though as it probably would have been less painful read more

I was excited to find this facility because it was empty and not much of a wait, but this place is a joke. Esmeralda decided that she knew better than my doctor and decided to remove one of the tests because I was supposed to be there before 9am for it. Nobody ever told me that. She said "oh just come back tomorrow at 7am, not need for an appointment." So that's what I did, I dragged myself there at 7am. And guess what, it's closed. Randomly closed on a Thursday. I wasn't going to drive around town to find another Quest and I wasn't waking up at 7am again for this so I just never had the test done. My doctor was upset and said she should have just done the test anyway. Low cortisol is low cortisol regardless of time of day. I guess I have to go back to Rolling Oaks where I make an appointment and still wait three hours. read more

Again another shit show! Was there for my appointment 2-4-2025. Machine not working put me on stay by along with 3 other people. Lab Tech Mary was rude and yelled out to me I don't know anything about those machines, she did not speak to me again when I asked her about when I would be seen? Lady left and other Man left. I stay until 9:30 am and I am a diabetic fasting my Blood sugar was very low has a Dexcom meter. I finally left at 9:30 am not getting my blood work I must have this before I have my appt. with my doc. I am going to another Quest Lab in town I pray it will be better but I doubt it. I will be going to UCLA LABS after this Quest does not care they put me in Medical Risk and when I complainted to the CEO Office I got no where! For the past 2 years, I have being dealing with health issues. Blood labs, MRIs, X-rays, surgeries with complications....the list continues. So it's fair to say, I had plenty of experience getting my blood drawn. I had to get a full blood draw; about 32 tubes of blood. The scale of the amount of blood taken was daunting but Esmeralda made the process painless and seamless. Made small talk to distract from the process and make the situation easier to bare with rather than sitting in silence. She is the BEST phlebotomist I had experience with. Question Diagnostics HIGHLY RECOMMENDS MAKING AN APPOINTMENT!!! And if you do it correctly with that appointment, you will receive a confirmation code. There are no mistakes when it comes to making an appointment except for you not following through till the end and receiving your confirmation code and making sure it's at the right location. We strive for excellent customer service. We do not scream or shout at our patients without an appointment. You have to wait until all of our appointments have been seen every location has an appointment every 10 minutes for each employee unless you are a stat you will have to wait your turn. There is no guaranteed service time without an appointment. We go above and beyond to accommodate our patients and we genuinely care. We do not rush. We are a medical facility just like a doctors office. You do not get to walk in and immediately be seen with or without an appointment. There are things going on behind the scenes that no one can see. We have hard draws, patients fainting patients getting sick patients that are terrified of needles but have to be there anyhow. I'm basing my review solely on the experience I've had my last two times in the past two years. Came in for routine blood work and Esmeralda was my tech. She greeted me promptly after I checked in and took me back to get my blood drawn. She was super nice and cheerful and kind throughout our entire interaction. She told me how much my insurance was covering and how much I was responsible for and I paid it upfront. Super simple and straightforward. She helped put my mind at ease when I told her I'm a fainter and offered me to lay down. She was quick, friendly and efficient drawing my blood. It was a quick pinch and then it was over. It's difficult for employees to be effective when the corporation they work for do not support them. The computer system was crashed therefore orders did not go through. I hear this occurs frequently. I had to submit my insurance info x5 for the self check in. Quest administration and their partner needs to step up. You all have an awful rep among providers. Be part of the solution and lead with integrity by giving your employees and customers a system that will help them be efficient. Community, please be patient with employees. I am convinced after spending three hours with them today trying unsuccessfully to get a UA, that they are doing the best they can. read more

They might take blood and do labor just fine, but it's impossible to call and speak to someone, and when I was given specimen containers, I was not told that I would have to make an appointment to drop them off. This caused quite a bit of inconvenience for myself, my husband, and my mother. I'm trying to work, my husband left work to drop them off and was told he couldn't, then my mom had to get involved and do it for us because there was a long wait. Everything being digital might be great for some people, but frustrating for grandmothers who have to help. I would have greatly appreciated a handout along with the specimen containers with detailed instructions about how to drop off. read more

Yesterday, I took an 82 year lady to this lab. The check in computer screen was overwhelming. You folks should understand the age group visiting your facility. You are around the corner from Leisure Village. And we were not the only ones having a hard time. A young couple came in, and they too needed assistance with the computer. "The Model of Inefficiency" "Cattle Car Healthcare" I saw the reviews for Quest so I knew I may be in for bad news, but their inefficiency resulted in me being stuck there at the Santa Rosa Rd location for two hours. Today's visit was the model of inefficiency and crappy customer service. I signed up for a text notification. It said 21 minutes. It ended up being about 75. At the 21 minute point, it said to return (from my parking lot location) to the waiting room. 50 minutes to go....inefficiency at its best. Third, I mentioned how inefficient things were to my nurse. She didn't want to listen. She continually interrupted, talked over me, made lame justifications, and finished with "we're doing the best we can." It took two hours for a simple blood/urine test this morning. Unacceptable and inefficient. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service and let alone lack of human kindness. If you are elderly and want to be treated poorly, go to this location. I was sitting in the waiting room, waiting for my grandfather to finish his appointment while I witnessed an elderly couple come in to ask the receptionist (newly in training) some questions. The man couldn't even finish his inquiry before the woman abruptly said, "you have to make an appointment". Had she listened she would have known he had already completed an appointment at that location, had his paperwork and was simply trying to get some different information printed out (he said he tried online but couldn't get it to work - understandably so, as everyone knows the internet isn't completely user friendly to that generation). I tried to help him by clarifying his request to the receptionist or get information about where he should go to get the paperwork corrected, after learning it couldn't be done there. She had no interest in being of any help. One of her many rude responses was "that's not our problem". Another one was "I don't know, I'm in training and I'll have to ask my supervisor" When I asked if we could speak to the supervisor to get some information, she flat out said no. I'm baffled why someone would even get a job in a place that requires assisting elderly people when they clearly don't have the patience to help them and have no control over their attitude. Completely disgusted by the treatment I saw today and would highly recommend the Quest Diagnostics on Las Posas as the women at that front desk are much nicer. read more

Waited at the window for half an hour (it was my first time in a quest) as person after person got seen until someone finally told me I had to take a COVID test to sign in despite doing so via text. Once I gave them my information it said I was 10 minutes late and had to reschedule. They should at least have someone check the window once in awhile or address someone obviously standing there as they take other patients. read more

The tech working there was definitely nice but the system is terrible & short staffed- I waited for 3 hrs & finally got in only to be told after being in the blood draw chair - the computer was not responding- then my info came up, then I am told that they close in a few minutes and would have to come back- I need the labs for pre op- so I got an appointment elsewhere the next day- it's just sad because people that are really suffering need to get labs done & they are way worse off than me & are turned away/ maybe lab corp or private one next time, I hope they get more help and come together- I know COVID has caused lots of these issues but some companies have transcended and came out better than ever. I almost did not go to this Quest Laboratory due to the very poor Yelp reviews. Luckily I gave them a chance. Check-in was amazingly easy... just a few taps on the computer screen and the Office Manager was polite and efficient. I was in a room within 15 minutes. However, the real star here was a Phlebotomist by the name of Besel Domingo. She drew 7 tubes with ease and made certain I was comfortable at all times. I seriously always have the best time at Quest. I've only been to 2 locations, 1 in Ventura and now this one, and they've both been friendly, caring, and helpful. Check In was really easy on the computer, I was a walk-in and only waited about 15 min. Gloria was my technician and made me feel so comfortable and right at home. I wasn't impressed with this place at all. It seems all the quest places suck these days and don't have enough people working at the locations they service . I was the only person there waiting and it took way too long. Their lunch time is for one hour from 11:30-12:30 but the lady decided to take a longer lunch and arrived at 12:45. I give zero stars for this lab. my 90 year mother was kept waiting 15 minutes after her appointment time even though NO other customers were in the office. Subsequently, her appointment was not logged in the system and i don't know that her blood was even sent to the lab as no results show on her online account. Quest online only responds to my questions by referring me to billing.. their automated email response system is totally useless. We will not be using this quest office ever again. and may not be using quest labs if this is not sorted out. read more

Quest has apparently adopted a new policy to refuse providing lab results to patients' secondary doctors unless an "approved" phone number is provided by the patient. Even though the patient has the doctor's name and office location. A third grader can retrieve the contact information online in 30 seconds. Very poor patient support. read more

I am so tired of needing to get lab work and it turning into a major ordeal because of the incredibly long wait times!! This location is literally in the middle of a retirement community, yet they have 1 person working the front desk and doing the blood draws!!! You have elderly people fasting and being forced to wait well over an hour. You have people that have to go to work as well, and its stupid to need to be over an hour late for work for simple blood tests!!! You just remodeled the interior but you won't spend the money to hire more staff???? I just went to the one 9n Paseo Camarillo and their system was down. Then I drove to Santa Rosa and the wait was well over an hour. Another person had come from the Las Posas location where there were over 40 ppl waiting. I want to start by admitting that I HATE blood tests. There is nothing about them that anyone likes, but I have a lot of anxiety over them. It puts me in a bad mood. This morning I got to this location about 10 minutes to 7. They opened up the doors a couple minutes before 7 and I was second in line. The ;ady at the front desk was fighting a cold and was a little short, but she was sick and I understood. The lab tech who actually drew the blood was really upbeat and very, very friendly with everyone there. She took my bad mood down about ten notches and even though I had a needle stuck in my arm, it was actually a good experience. I wish businesses rewarded those types of employees more. I am going to look on my paperwork and try and find her name to write the company a letter. She was great. read more

Hi. I have been to Quest many times and only had I good experience. On Santa Rosa, the staff isn't clear about hurting their patients. Their tech November, although nice, was very cruel and hurt my arm terribly twice trying to find a vein. It was ridiculous. If someone is crying out in pain, get that needle out of their arm. I almost passed out from the experience. They bruise me so bad every time and they don't care. I am looking for a competent lab. Can anyone help? read more

I would not recommend this location. They lost my blood test results. I called their customer service number and they gave me the run around by telling me that they didn't have my records and needed to go back to the location where I had the blood drawn. I walked into their office on a Friday morning and they only had one employee working there answering phones, drawing blood, working the front desk. Then employee said that they see I was there and show they took my blood but don't have the records there. The poor lady had to help 3 people at once and she asked me to call their customer service phone number. She ended up calling them for me but was told the same thing, no records. This is the worst place to get your lab work done. This was my second time coming in and both times had to wait over 30min. This last time was just to pick up containers for my samples and I had to sign in and wait over 30 min. There was only one person a head of me that was already in the back. There was two receptionist/ phlebotomist working one looked rushed and confused and couldn't tell me how long of a wait It was going to be after waiting 20 minutes. The older women looked like she was there to watch over the other worker. I was the only one in the waiting room and she walks out to call someone that had been taken back already. She closes the door and comes out 10 min later to call me back. After putting me in a room I was over hearing her going in to the other room and talking to the patient and her co-worker. I waited 15 more minutes until I came out and asked her for my insurance card an my orders. She claimed she was getting them together, but who knows how long that was going to take, so I left. This place is unorganized and employees are unprofessional. read more

An appointment is worth nothing here. As others have mentioned, two staff that are running around doing both front desk work and blood draws. What takes 10 minutes at other quests takes 45 minutes here. Not the fault of the staff, but cost cutting. read more

I wish Yelp had a way to give many more stars because the experience I had at this location (5800 Santa Rosa Rd. Camarillo) was exceptional. I made an appt. online, yesterday, which was very easy, then I showed up at the appointed time today and was seen quickly. The blonde woman who took my blood (sorry, I forgot to ask her name) was clearly one of those people who are gifted at doing blood draws without pain because I hardly felt it. Every once in a while I've encountered one of these magic people and it seems to me that they must be stealthy "vein whisperers" or something. If you've had a lot of blood draws in your life, you know the difference I'm talking about. She was positive and kind to everyone in the waiting room and made me a lot less nervous about the test I was getting. I appreciated her attention to detail, too, such as double checking birthdate and the correct spelling of the name of the vial. I was glad I chose to go to this location. read more

Last time I'll give them a try. I scheduled an appointment over two months ago. I did the relatively easy and efficient check in with a code from my phone. Then, only to be advised in a less than welcoming tone by the phlebotomists that my lab work was not in the system. I told her that I had verified with my physician office yesterday it was sent. Further more Quest answer machine states they'll draw the blood and call the physician. She stated she take me into the drawing room and show me. I followed her and she brings up my info on the computer. While she was doing this an elderly gentlemen with what appeared to be a urine sample walks in my room. I said, oh shall I leave I seem to be intruding on his appointment. She says no, he's leaving. He proceeded to put his urine cup on the counter and then put on his jacket and belt and leave. My info is open on the computer screen. The phlebotomists continued to defend her take on I must have registered wrong which is why I didn't show up- but all was good now as she found me and my lab work that was ordered. My previous experience was with Bonnie the phlebotomists who is less than congenial this gal never identified herself. At this point I'll go to the hospital or my provider to get lab work. This is a terribly run location. I usually got to the Newbury Park location, but this one is close to work. I have been here twice now, and both times the staff is unfriendly and excruciatingly slow. Not to mention, I have fantastic veins and one lady had to poke both arms and left bruises. Terrible, terrible, terrible. read more
