While I was there a friend of mine came in to pick up a plastic container for a sample. She had to wait until one of the blood draw ladies came out to ask for the plastic container. She was told she had to make an appointment to come back & get the plastic container. All went well. I got there at 6:45. Fifteen minutes before Quest opened. I was second person there. I didn't have an appointment. I easily checked in through the kiosk. I waited about a half an hour. Staff was amazing and very kind. It was a good experience even know it was a blood draw. read more

Absolutely terrible experience! I came in just to drop off a stool sample -- something that should take a few minutes -- and ended up waiting almost TWO HOURS. When I checked in, I was #4 on the standby list, then I moved to #2, and somehow an hour later I was back to #3! How does that even happen? The staff had zero sense of urgency and clearly don't care about their patients. People come here because they need medical services, not to waste half their day being ignored. Just had my labs drawn by a woman named Jessica. She told me they had no orders for me in their system. I expressed that this same thing happened to me just over a month ago here at this same office. I had to return 3 times before they finally figured out where the orders were. Then I told Jessica that they just sent them yesterday, "well we don't have anything ". So I said the doctors office said they faxed them yesterday. Jessica: "Oh well you have to tell us they faxed it. We just look for it in our computer system.", and that "we do get them by fax but you need to tell us it was faxed". I said I don't know what your system is here so I don't know what information you need. Wouldn't it be easier just to check both systems? "No, you need to tell us." She didn't seem to understand that people coming into their office may not know how the doctors office would transmit the orders or what system Quest had set up so they would not know what information Jessica needed to be able to find the orders. I sure it may have been too difficult for to check both systems to see if my orders were there. Much easier to just check one and announce, "We don't have anything for you". Then she proceeded to blow the first stick. So I had to tell her what site would be best. Let's just say I found her to be rude and seemed to lack some common sense. The rules have changed! I arrived early for walk-in appt. First thru the door and still here 30 minutes later. Staff was not supportive and provides limited help. Staff is not managed so perhaps they don't know how. It's a real racket Quest is running but we don't really have another choice. They have signs requiring masks, but have told people that the mask is not important. read more

I had an appointment and went in a little early. They're system of checking people in is ABSOLUTELY Archaic, rude and ridiculous!!!! I Hate this place!!! Whomever came up with their system of calling patients and the waiting system I think has an actual disregard for people in general and wants to make them and watch them suffer under their Stone Age scheduling systems. These bad reviews are outdated! When checking in, there were a few older folks having trouble with the ipads and a staff member came out to help without even being asked. I came without an appointment and even though their schedule was full I was seen within 10 min of waiting. The whole process with mellow, pleasant and practically painless. This location is horrible!! There is a lot of old people that made appointments to be seen at the time of the actual appointment but instead they make them wait from 40 to an hour! The woman who administered my blood test was pleasant and gentle, but I am unable to access my test results online, even though my doctor just received the results. It just shows that the test date of August 7th has been confirmed...it's August 12th! They like to toot their own horn by showing how wonderful they are, on their waiting room television, but being unable to access my test is unacceptable, especially when my results showed a health problem and a possible worse health problem. Mercy did my blood draw this morning and experience could not have been more perfect! I do not have veins that are good for blood draws but she got it on the first go. Was in and out even before my scheduled time. This actually is the only facility I will go for blood draws since moving to Camarillo three years ago. They are very efficient and polite. read more

Go anywhere else but here. I recommend LabCorp. The woman in charge was very rude and unhelpful. She likes to slam the door in faces. I witnessed her being rude to 4 other patients while I was waiting. The wait if you walk in is at least an hour. You can't make an appointment online. Make sure you have a hard copy of your order. If I could give them lower I would. Every call, for every clinic, directs to a call center somewhere with a federal minimum wage level and staff with no laboratory experience. The need for an appointment to DROP off a time sensitive sample is insane and can add weeks to turn around, but its necessary because this cheap company will only staff the bare minimum technical staff with no front support and walk-ins can't be taken in a predicable manner. It's on the 2nd floor of the building complex. There's an elevator and also stairs. Overall, the office is clean. You check in with an iPad and then your supposedly order is displayed on the TV. However, I had 2 people whose names are after mine, got called first. The front desk was empty the whole time I was there, I guess everyone was busy doing stuff. Computer login with no human interaction, wait time says 19 minutes and they will send you a text, no texts and 1 hour later find out my name is being faintly called by the front desk but everyone has to be outside standing cause there are no chairs, no communications or heads up on wait times, just a bad experience which could easily be avoided by having a human talking to people...shocking request I know. Very good experience in Las Posas branch - Esmeralda was very nice, kind, friendly and gentle. She talked to me throughout the entire procedure so I hardly knew it was happening. She made me very comfortable. Esmeralda did really great. No bruising or pain on the area where she took blood. If I could give ten stars, I would in a second. I have had no problems with the phlembotomists here. They have always verified my information and been able to draw my blood on the first try. Front desk is OK, could improve. They get the job done is a timely manner so no complaints here. Tip: from Las Posas it is between the police department and 3901 in the Courtyard Plaza. Quest is on the second floor closest to Las Posas. You can take the elevator or the stairs to the second floor. read more

Just went to drop off a specimen at the Las Posas location on 6/22/2020 @ 8 am and Juana, the Phlebotomist took my specimen and told me that I owed $50. I asked why and she said, I don't know the computer is telling me to collect $50 and if you don't pay it, your test will not me processed. I then said, "there's got to be a way that you can print it." In the past other phlebotomists would print a statement or something showing why I needed to pay. After more bad patient service from her, I realized it was pointless arguing with her so I asked to speak to a supervisor. Then Juana said there was no supervisor a available. What??? Really no supervisor available, during Corona times??? So I said no, there has to be someone I can talk to. Working healthcare myself we always have a manager available for any kind of patient complaint. Finally, she stepped away and called her Supervisor (Ricky or Richard) and I spoke with him. He stated that they didn't have a way to print a bill or any statement without paying. So i was persistent and said, there has to be someway Im sure Im not the first person who had concerns about charges. Finally, he said he knew another way and so I handed Juana the phone and then she printed a statement out showing that I had 2 prior balances that supposedly didn't pay which was not true. Then I tried to tell her and she was not interested in helping me. It seemed like she was too focused on collecting my payment and sample and getting me out of the center. Very bad patient care. While I was sitting I could hear another Phlebotomist nearby, kindly responding to another patient's concerns. All in all, I can't believe a lab would not have a supervisor on site especially during these times. And unfortunately, where there is no supervision anything can happen. Don't think I'll be going to Quest anymore. Its a shame because this could have handled more professionally. read more

Quest labs makes communication almost impossible. Tried to call the Camarillo facility to cancel a lab test requested by my physician, but only covered by medicare every 12 months. I left a message on recording to cancel that particular test. Four months later I received a bill from Quest saying medicare denied test. I asked what Quest would have been paid if medicare would have paid. I was told none of my business, but I owed over $ 148. Quest had enough time to cancel PSA test. Other labs only charge $30. read more

Wow. As a previous lab tech/phlebotomist, I am extremely disgusted by one of the techs at this specific location. I asked for her name repeatedly and she refused to give it, so unfortunately I can't tell you to stay away from that one. She was extremely unprofessional, with no care whatsoever for compassion, decency and helpfulness. Even when I brought up these complaints to her, all she did was smirk and ignore me. Fortunately, another tech saw how upset I was and how unwilling her co-worker was in diffusing the situation, so she took me aside and apologized profusely for any "misunderstanding." She helped me out right away and even calmed me down enough to walk out after the procedure without pressing any further for the name of her colleague. There are other quest locations. Sign that our healthcare system has gone to shit. Trying to get a blood test for my physical. First telephone automation not working says to use the Internet their website not working get frustrated and stop trying. Visit my mother-in-law and she hasn't been able to go to her doctors appointment because she hasn't been able to get an appointment for her blood test. So I tell her I will walk in and ask questions see if I can't get us both an appointment. The waiting room is full. They have nobody working a front desk anymore you check in through automation what is struggle for our elderly people. I happen to catch one lady in scrubs and asked her about make an appointment. Oh no we don't do that you have to do it on the phone or online I tell her I haven't been able to do that and neither has my mother-in-law she says oh I don't know people of been making appointments. So she shows me the business card try again. I called the automation number it tells me to select the day I want to come so I start with tomorrow's date no there's nothing available the machine tells me so I give the next days date no there's nothing available the next day and so on and so on. It finally tells me there is nothing available for the next week and wants to kick me off the phone call. What if these blood tests were a type of an emergency that needed to happen quickly? Or like my mother-in-law who needs to get the blood test before she sees her heart doctor. So I thought I'll find a different company I found one and I was close by so I drove over there their doors are locked and they are out of business. Looks like quest diagnostic has the monopoly on our blood testing. And they won't even answer the phone. have no one sitting at a reception desk to help you. The telephone automation was subpar.
