It was definitely way too much food for 2 people lol. The wet burrito was really unique and overall pretty good -- I never had something quite like it before! Though I will say, through this experience, I have realized I prefer my burritos with a crunchy/toasted exterior rather than one that is soggy/drenched in a tomato-based sauce (salsa?). It is massive, kind of challenging to eat, warm, and comforting. The enchiladas were also pretty good but a bit too salty for my liking. Perhaps they accidentally overseasoned the steak that day. The rice and beans added a nice touch to the plate. I never expected to say this, but the Mex Fries ended up being my favourite of the dishes. They were so crispy, hot, and deliciously seasoned! It was the only thing we were able to finish at the restaurant! Finally, the owners definitely deserve a shout out. They are exceptionally friendly, courteous, and quick with their service. You can tell they take pride in their food! This made dining in an overall pleasant experience.

We chose the dining room because we like to live dangerously. Our server, Grace, asked if it was our first time visiting. We said yes, which felt like the perfect opportunity for a quick menu rundown. Instead, we were sent off on a culinary scavenger hunt to figure it out ourselves. The menu is pretty small, so if you have dietary restrictions, you may spend more time reading than ordering. The cleanliness was about a 6.5/10. Our table was sticky enough to make me question whether I should be paying rent for my elbow's spot, and the women's washroom could definitely use some extra attention. To be fair, Grace was great about checking on drinks, which was important because drinks quickly became the main course. Now for the food. If you arrive hungry, do yourself a favor and order the platter. I ordered tacos and left with the same appetite I arrived with. The tacos were less of a meal and more of a suggestion. Since it was my birthday, I was entitled to a complimentary churro plate. After about 20 minutes of waiting--and wondering whether Grace had completed her shift, moved away, or started a new life elsewhere--it finally arrived. And honestly? The churros were the MVP of the evening. The portion was much bigger than expected, and they were delicious. The other highlight was the Fandango Malcaz shot we had to celebrate. If the tacos were the opening act, the shot and churros were the headliners. Final verdict: Come for the drinks, stay for the churros, and if you're actually hungry, order the platter. Trust me--future you will thank you.
