    Chorizo Quesadilla with the fixins!

While traveling in Lebanon from California, our hopes for great Mexican food were slim, but when I found Queso Dee'as, I was hopeful. Boy, what a great decision! The owner is from California and makes some absolutely outstanding plates!!! Highly recommend; the atmosphere, decor, service and food were all fantastic!

We ate at Queso Dee'as for lunch today. I had the pork tacos which were very delicious although they were served with only on corn tortilla which makes for quick and easy tearing. Pork was tender and flavored well. My husband had the daily special which was chicken mole enchiladas. The chicken was seasoned well and the mole was spicy but not over the top. The black beans were delicious. The restaurant, however, it was not great. The whole place could use a good cleaning. The kitchen, especially looked like it needed disinfected. After eating many a taco from food trucks in Arizona and Texas, this didn't through me off too much but Queso Dee'as is only getting 4 stars because if it.

I have been here since 2013. I love it.

Total yummyness! I come here pretty often. I recommend it. Delicious. I like their burritos and desserts and refills on drinks.

Interior. There are a few 4-person tables, one for larger groups, and window seats by the door.

Don't ask what it is just try it!!! If you like rice and seasonings, it's for you! Service- Ok so we order guacamole and it comes out within a minute or less!!! Wow!!! We've been here a couple times but it's been consistent every single visit! We like to go to Rehoboth Bethany and Maryland Beach so this is on the way!!!! Our actual entrees came out within 5 minutes, and the food was just as good as if it took an hour to prepare!!! Our waitress was so nice, too! She was so attentive! Ambience- A big, Mexican themed place that just genuinely are so nice. They even have a bar! I hope this review gives you a higher chance of coming to Border Cafe Overall 100 stars but I can sadly on give five lol

If I could give them zero stars, I would. The food is absolutely horrible. I used to go to…read moreBorder Cafe all the time, as I loved the way they did their fajitas. Well, everything has changed. I ordered the chicken fajitas with no peppers, only to be told that they coudn't accomodate that request. Apparently they don't cut their own onions & peppers anymore, it comes in as a mix. I'm sorry, but if someone orders no peppers, accomodate them. The fajitas came out not sizzling and stuck to the cast iron skillet. Chicken was lukewarm so it was sitting in the kitchen for a bit. The tortillas used to be in a basket wrapped in a napkin to keep them warm & soft. Not anymore. They came on the skillet with the lukewarm chicken & they were hard around the edges. More evidence of food just sitting around. I loved the chicken fajitas there, that place was what made me even like fajitas. Unfortunately, they have lost me as a customer. They've even changed the way the do the tortilla chips. I don't think they're homemade anymore. They taste like they were dumped out of a bag into a basket. I'm sure these decisions were made to save money. Well, in an attempt to save money, you have sacrificed the quality of the food. Horrible!!!!!

There were couple tables of customers and there are plenty of seats available. Bathroom was clean enough but could be better. Inside the store was also clean, the salsa counter was wiped down alright. I got a bowl of Adobo chicken and green sauce (don't remember how it is called lol) with half and half of both rice. The food tastes pretty good except for white rice that was not cooked. There were a lot of hard or undercooked rice in my bowl which was a bit disappointing. Staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. She even helped me look up for my account and informed me about some free redemptions. Their price is very reasonable as well.

There are options to choose from - quesadilla, burrito, bowl, tacos, etc. All orders come with a side of chips and you select your salsa at their salsa station - yes I just said salsa station, that is pretty cool! I don't love building my own items so I wish they had a "base" to add or remove from, but I get the concept. I chose a bowl with rice, black beans, birria - new item, onions, peppers, cheese and sour cream. The bowl was HUGE! I didn't even finish half of it. It was good, but I didn't love the seasoning on the birria sadly... I also tried the chips- crispy and perfect - and all the salsas at the Salsa station. Sadly I didn't really care for any of the salsas, I think it's preference. The restauarant was clean, the employees were friendly and helpful and my experience was quick and casual. So overall I think it's a win. I don't love that the restrooms are directly in front of the entrance door, but not much can be done about that.
