It's been 5 years since the incident, so I decided to give it another try (plus didn't want chuckles and finger pointing while donning my 2 piece during my Mexican vacay). I found Elmira on groupon because she came highly recommended. I was a little leery at first because I had not had the best experiences on groupon as well. This was.... probably top 5 best decisions I've made in my life! Again, it had been a while since I had been waxed and was nervous about the amount of pain I would endure. I'm also a bit of a prude, which added several stages to my comfortability level. Elmira put me at ease, conversing with me the entire time. It was like talking to one of my girlfriends! Seriously! Out of 5 (5 being horrific pain!), my pain level was about a 1.5. She finished the job within 30 minutes (waxing times are longer for first timers or for those who don't get waxed often). I bought an exfoliating soap due to a few ingrown hairs, and then we sat down and CHATTED SOME MORE before her next client arrived. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE KNOWN ELMIRA FOREVER YALL!!! My skin is the smoothest it's ever been and I've already scheduled my next appointment. Life is good when you have a respectable pastor, doctor, and ESTHETICIAN....

I was impressed with the variety of facials she offers. I was able to consult with her about my specific skin care concerns and she was able to recommend a treatment that would be best for my skin. In addition to facials, Lisa was able to explain the difference between waxing and sugaring hair removal. I've been hearing more and more about sugaring and how it's becoming more common in the states. She made me feel at ease with her services and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her.

In case you weren't sure what dermaplaning is - it's a technique where they take a tiny blade and scrape off all the baby hairs on your face. It's amazing and left my skin so soft and smooth. It also helps your makeup go on much smoother. Lisa was very careful and walked me through the process so I knew what was happening every step of the way. She gave me some samples to use post treatment so I wouldn't have any major reactions. I will definitely go back and see her in a few weeks. I feel like with Groupon - you never know. But this was a happy risk with great rewards.

I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. Tejal was not only super polite and gentle with my skin, she was a magician! I walked out after my Hydra facial feeling like the skin on my face was brand new. I have been going to her ever since, I do not think i'd ever go anywhere else to get my skin care needs taken care of again. Tejal also does an excellent job with threading. I had not threaded my eyebrows or upper lip in over 6 months because everytime I did I would break out in severe hives for 3-5 days. She asked me to trust her to give it a try and voila, no hives! If you are not going to Nitya to get your facial needs taken care of, you are seriously missing out. Every time I go there for a facial I end up falling asleep during the process, how's that for gentle hands?!? It's also a great score that her pricing is not at all outrageous like some of the other salons out there. I really recommend giving this salon a try, what have you got to lose?

There were several lashes poking into my eye which created clear discomfort. There were clearly too much glue on the root of the extension, and when I got home there were black lash glue started rubbing off in the corner of my eye. I requested for the classic lash set, right after the application was done. Ends of my left eye, there was a lash extension popped out from the roots, I informed her on it. She took a bit of time to fix it, at the time I'm started to suspect her visions are not very sharp and that she could not see clearly. Tammy did not tell me any lash after care nor did she mention any "refills" needed etc she kept on telling me convincing me how "booked and busy" she is and how talented she is at lashes basically the whole time. I went home with an itch in my eye, I took a picture it was clear she only did one row of my upper lash and some of my own lash were falsely bends inward to be glued on. I have several row of lashes didn't have extensions on and also she didn't stick any lash extensions to the lashes in my outer corner...a lot of them are glued to my eyelid.. When I contact Tammy the NEXT day regarding this she kept on saying it's normal to have lash sticking on the water line or on the lid even when it's clearly poking into my eye. At first Tammy even attempted to blame me saying my lashes are too short and they were too low so that's why she has to apply to my root(what?) . I haven't been doing eyelash extensions for 2+ years, and prior to that none of my eyelash technicians ever said that to me and I know what a classic lash extension should look like and it def shouldn't feel this much discomfort. Tammy refuse to refund me the money, now I have to pay extra to go to another lash tech to remove it and redo it.
