Crystal (Phuong To) cut, blew dry, then curled (I didn't ask for, but it was worth the extra $10 :) my hair today. She is a natural and does hair well, with 25+ years experience. Wish she would be just a bit more gentle, especially since I lose hair easily, but it still looks good! :) The salon is nice, comfortable, and clean. They sell hair products for reasonable price. I bought some Moroccanoil shampoo & conditioner per Crystal's recommendation for my hair/ scalp type (dry scalp/ fine hair) and will see how it does! read more

In February, my haircut was destroyed by a hair stylist at Gr.Clps. It took from Feb. until now (mid June) for my hair to grow out enough for someone else to salvage the cut and make my hair look great again. I walked in to 'InStyle' based on a referral from a friend, and I was glad I did. Lillian took me in, listened to my complaint and carefully corrected a terrible cut to a cute short layered cut, which was what I wanted. I was very pleased and will be back. Our first visit to Instyle after our salon closed during covid. Needed a full service salon to get my 89 yr old Mom her permanent and haircut. Over 18 months into a salon so some work needed. A trim is a trim here - If you've ever walked into a salon asking for 1-2 inches off and left missing 6+ inches of your hair, you will appreciate the hairstylists here. Lisa is my favorite; I asked for layers on thick, long hair and she took her time to thoroughly cut and style it the way I wanted. Highly recommend. I live in Arkansas and I wait until I visit Garland to get my hair done here - that's how incredible Phuong and her team are. Recently, I decided to get a balayage, something that I have wanted for years. When I was finally ready to do it, they were patient as I explained what I wanted and offered great guidance as I made final decisions on cut, color, etc. I went to this team for updos for formals in high school. In college I got a last-minute haircut (not with Instyle) that ended badly, and in my despair, went to Instyle to ask them to fix it - which they did with ease. And now, I have a gorgeous balayage that I was able to get right before pictures that we took for our anniversary. As you can see, I love Instyle. At first Brenda was cutting my hair and after 5 minutes I told her to stop and have someone else cut. My hair was waxed and she didn't even spray water or wet it before cutting. Also, her cutting technique was very very slow. Nice lady though. Phuong did a good job cutting after. I also got my eyebrows waxed but told them 20 minutes to do. I got burned really bad. I love this place! I came in as a walk in and they immediately took me in! I had gotten my hair bleached to create the ombre look, so my hair was very damaged. I didn't wanna cut it off because I don't like my hair short, so I asked to get as much off while leaving it as long as possible. I also got it colored. while I was there, they were very attentive to me and my boyfriend. We were there for about three hours, which was expected, and they were very nice through out our stay. It's also very clean and nice :) Overall I was pleased with my final results, I kept smiling and loving my hair. They also recommended a hair treatment which I still have to go back and get! This is the place I usually go to get my haircut, and 9 times out of 10 I walk out happy. The one time I wasn't I got my hair cut by someone who thankfully no longer works there. They also style hair. I had a wedding to go to and no one to curl my hair for me. I know, I should definitely know how to curl my own hair by now, but I'm just not a girly girl. So I called them with four hours left before the wedding, they said yeah sure, come on in, so I did. The girl did such an awesome job. My hair looked amazing, and stayed for over 24 hours, which is unusual for me. I am extremely happy with the job she did. Of course my only complaint is that it cost me $35. I'm not sure if that standard or if I over paid, but I was shocked. I can say that I will go back if I'm ever in a jam like that again. She really did do a great job. read more

I needed a haircut badly and i've been eyeing this place for a while, I looked at the reviews and decided to go with Lillian, she's the sweetest! i was tired after work but she made me feel so refreshed and relaxed when i left her chair. she did my haircut perfect and i even rebooked for a color next week. my haircut is even (trust me i looked in the mirror like 10 times to check) if you need a good even haircut go to her! it's a bit pricy but i would rather go here and get a GOOD haircut then go to a chop shop and get your hair ruined. thank you Lillian, from a hairstylist point of view you make me feel so confident and happy knowing there are other stylist who truly care about their clients needs i have finally found someone i can trust with my hair needs read more

I've had long hair for the last 25 years and was ready for a change recently. Crystal, at Instyle Salon, is the ONLY person that I have trusted with my hair for the last 10+ years so I felt safe going to her to take the plunge. One of the things that I love about her is that she makes sure that you are both on the same page with what you want and what you'll get. I asked for hot pink in some of my hair as part of my BIG change and she was great in explaining how it would fade and that it could bleed into the rest of my hair. We cut 16 inches off the length, added highlights, and made the bottom layer of my hair hot pink. I love it and recommend Crystal to everyone I know! read more

Pretty good little place, I've been to many of these type of salons and I like this one the best. They knew just what I wanted from my explanation, and they would ask questions to make sure it was what I wanted during my haircut.
