They also have Fran's Mindful Meals which is a hot bar food option that offers protein, carbs, and a vegetable. If you need an event catered they offer that as well. I wish I could give this place six stars. They have seriously won me over with their superb customer service today. I've been here several times in the past and have always thought the staff to be very friendly but today was over the top. I came for lunch and ordered some food but quickly realized that I forgot my wallet at the office. I proceeded to try and cancel my order but the couple who owns the place said not to worry. They said to come back and pay the next time I visited. Can you believe that?! I, of course, will be back tomorrow so that I can pay them back for my food, but I wanted to first write this review to show my appreciation. They have a large selection of hot meals with various sides. All the meats, fish and veggies are organic, GMO free, antibiotic free, pasteurized and grass fed. I feel healthy just eating here. It's pretty ridiculous that I haven't written a review about this place since I can gladly call this store my second home. Fran (the Chef with the big blue eyes and a perfect smile to match) + Will (her husband) are the two lovely owners of this store, and they make it their business to hire staff equally as fun-loving, efficient, and friendly as they are. When you walk into the store it's all smiles and they will have you feeling like regular within minutes. This place has the charm and warmth we see in Cheers (and the booze) but packed into a humble store on Horace Harding in the heart of Queens. Providing fresh hot food, groceries, catering, baked goods, beverages and more (Very in-depth review below) Queens Natural Meat, the sister-store to (the practically a historic landmark) Queens Health Emporium may be affiliated but are very different. What sets them apart is the obvious large selection of seafood and meats. Their meats consisting of Pork (antibiotic free), Chicken (antibiotic free and/or organic), Beef (grassfed beef, organic) and wild game (Are you craving Venison? Are you craving Quail Eggs? Are you craving lamb chops? etc) If there is any sort of meat or a certain cut of meat you are looking for, Will (the handsome Taiwanese man with the glasses and polo shirt) will be more then happy to special order for you. Brussell Sprout salad anyone?) Salad bar. Their rotation of hot foods reflects exactly what you see in the store, options of chicken, beef, and game. My favorites are their duck breast (once in a blue), baked chilean sea bass, grilled ribeye steak (for $9.99 w/ two sides), mac and cheese, mexican lasagna, kale salad and raw collard green salad. Everyday after having lunch here, I also succumb to my sweet tooth. They have delicious cakes (the Almond cake! The Almond croissant! You would not know how incredibly amazing the food is at QNM, just BI looking at this place but then again I was taught to never judge a book by its cover. Hands-down one of my favorite places to eat and get catering from in Queens. All organic and natural meats, fish and other packaged goods. They also have a decent selection of natural sodas and local and craft beers and siders, with a selection that changes weekly. I have a hard time controlling myself when I visit, however, with so many wonderful things to eat and drink, there is no wrong choice. Considering there is such an abundance of delectable treats, if I were to name all of the things that I would recommend, it would make the length of this review absurd. With that in mind I will just say that the Thai chili salmon, cauliflower cakes, turkey meatballs and the jerk chicken are at the top of my list. They sell meats, fish, prepared food, and baked goods from Bread Alone. The meats can be a bit pricey, but it really is the only place in the area that carries a variety of natural and organic meats. What I love about this store is that you can tell that everyone who works there cares about the product they sell and they put love into the store. I've been going to their sister store Queens Health Emporium for as long as I've lived in this neighborhood and I'm thrilled Queens Natural Meats is doing so well. Will's a great and very personable owner, and knows his customers by name. There's pastured meats, cheeses, and artisan breads and pastries here, as well as some more harder-to-find items like salmon heads (which makes amazing broth), ostrich eggs, quail eggs and craft kombucha and beer. If you're looking for something in particular or want to order a lot of something, just ask Will about it and he'll make it happen. My mom and I always order pork soup bones in advance from him. My brother once ordered like half a pig's whole underside from him. Both the cold and hot food bar here is fantastic and I recommend anyone on a gluten-free, paleo, low-carb kind of lifestyle to check this place out. The pricing fits the quality. The prepared salmon here is absolutely perfect when taken home and re-heated in a toaster oven. The owners are just genuinely food-loving folk who won't sell what they don't already love. We wait for the occasional business trips my husband takes to Long Island where he, everytime, without fail, goes to this terrific natural meat market to find grass fed beef, humanely raised meat products at a very affordable price. He comes bach home with a few to several pounds of meat each time and the cuts are all so delicious!!!! We usually buy pork or beef, but there is quite a lot of variety of products and many vendors represented. We are so grateful for this market! It is difficult to find much variety of humanely raised meat products in the winter in Hoboken (during the summer, we purchase from the farmer's markets., but I like the products at this market better actually). Instead this is mainly a deli with a small selection of "natural" prepackaged meats. Not so many actually grass fed options.There is some frozen meats and a large precooked food section in the back. The owners (husband and wife) are very easy going, they will make you feel like you are right at home enjoying a home cook meal. No MSG whatsoever on any of their dishes. Place is still very solid , parking though is horrendous. You should offer a curbside pickup. Parking is impossible for numerous blocks around your store. There are 2-3 tractor trailers everyday unloading and there is no parking on the street for blocks. read more

I was skeptical of all the 5 star reviews so I decided to make a trip here. It's not exactly in my neighborhood; it's about a 10 minute drive. The place is small, not your typical grocery store. There's not a whole lot of variety here, but if you're looking for organic natural meats, you really have to come here. Everything looked great -- very fresh. As I was looking through the meats and seafood, I heard other patrons being chatted with by the people behind the counter, so the service is very friendly and homey. A major plus is that they have Van Leeuwen ice cream here! It doesn't feel like a grocery store, nor does it feel like a butcher shop. It has more of a deli feel, and there are tables at the front of the store for you to sit and eat their prepared foods. read more

There is an array of different meals everyday, and the lunch box specials are worth every penny - between $8-10 for a big portion! This place is absolutely one of the best eateries in queens ;as well as great meat shop who always carries top of the lime , gourmet , quality products and snacks . I can literally eat here every day of the week and I will sometimes . The jerk chicken is the best I've ever had , add some roasted potatoes and the kale and rice salad and your set without breaking the bank . Not to mention it's not just the jerk chicken that's good . The salmon is always cooked to perfection along with everything else. All the salads are amazing with unique recipes and they always keep fresh baked goods from the best baker is stocked in the front. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming . The owners are great people who show that they really care about the product their putting out , their clientele and their community.
