    Thick battered burnt fish,
    K F.

They had a good set up for sports watching on patio and waitresses were nice. But An English pub should certainly know how to do a proper fish in chips. It was thick thick batter and burnt, they should have been embarrassed to serve it. The wraps were grilled on what u can tell was a dirty grill, black marks.

Literally inedible. Had ordered from here before and it was decent but this time around there were FEATHERS on over half of our chicken wings ! Wtf ! We ordered the chicken club as well, which appeared burnt from the bacon to the bread. Couldn't bring myself to take a bite, because, you know, feathers. Long story short, the sight was so unappetizing the entire order went in the trash.

    Breakfast poutine

11$ calamari app; 11$ lb of wings; Several types of poutine for around 8$. Ceasar brunch special: 4$! Pretty typical respectably cheap bar. When it first opened I was excited. Thought it would provide an alternative to the remarkably sleazy Dukes across the street. It did... Somewhat. Everything about this place is slightly less downtrodden than Dukes. But only slightly. And they don't have the AMAZING patio that Dukes has. The staff here is cuter (why they didn't hire me, I'll never know). And one feels less like a coke addict here (you can feel in your bones how much coke has gone up noses in the washrooms across the street). There have also been less people shot here.

This pub has become our local as it's literally around the corner from us so it makes stopping in for a quick bite a little too easy. I'm a big fan of the chicken wings, specifically the Thai sweet chili and jerk sauces, the standard "hot" doesn't really standout for me. I'm also a poutine fan and their Indian version with a butter chicken sauce is indulgent and worth it! If you're in on a game night (hockey or football) it'll likely be playing on a big screen. They realize groups tend to watch sports together and have catered to this with several large tables. However you want to arrive early as tables fill up quickly. I also want to callout the staff which have always been super friendly. And that was before we became regulars. They are prompt and do their best to avoid blocking the TVs while they work. All in all, totally worth stopping by. And if you're into supporting local they've got Left Field on tap!

Everyone, makes you feel so welcome. The Friday Night Blues jam with Mike and Robin and Juliette is just amazing. What great musicians, and so welcoming to all other musicians who turn up to play. The sound run by Kevin is awesome and the support provided by John and Bill makes it so easy for anyone wishing to host a night of great live music. Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.

We absolutely love this place. It's the perfect sports bar: an insane number of gigantic TVs, all showing different games, high-energy vibes, and consistently great service. Food-wise, we ALWAYS get the Garlic Knots; they're our absolute favourite. We've never had a bad menu item here, and the drinks are always solid. One important tip: I highly recommend booking in advance, especially on any sort of game day. This place fills up fast, and for good reason.
