I love this entire dental office and now i recommend it to everyone. I was never a person who went to the dentist growing up so I had a lot of fear coming for my first time, I did a lot of research so and felt comfortable after reading about the two dentists here and their years of experience. The office is very hospitable and generous, and the dentists are very gentle handed in their work. At this office i've gotten exams, cleanings, wisdom tooth extraction, and now braces! They're very good with pricing and work with both of the insurances i've had while being a patient. There was once a moment where my insurance didn't cover everything I needed and not once did I feel pressured or judged by the team for not being able to afford treatment at the moment. That was a big deal for me because that's always been a fear of mine going to the dentist and having things added on but this was not the case here at all. I have been a patient here since one and half years ago. Initially I came here to see Dr. Suchak to inspect my tooth for implant. I was very nervous before coming in since I had never had tooth extraction/implant before. Dr Suchak has decades of experience and he is practicing very responsible dentistry. The other staff are also very friendly and considerate, especially Jasmine who I initially contacted, she calms me down and she is friendly every single time I visited. The oral surgeon of this office Dr. Apel is a renowned instructor in UCLA Dental School so you know you are in good hands if you need extraction/Implant done here. For the whole procedure from tooth extraction/bone graft, to implant installation/phase 2, until crown, I had no pain during the procedure (although keep in mind you will feel some expected mild tenderness after procedure as your gum/bone heals and settles, so remember to take the prescription dr. give you). And the implant feels like natural tooth since completion. For my other general care and concerns, I often see Dr Om who graduated from Arthur Dugoni Dental School which is a very well known institute producing many leaders of dentistry on west coast. He is very personable and patient and he treats you like a person instead of just a id number. He took time and gave me clarity before each treatment and I really appreciate that. The 2 front desk ladies Joselyne and Selina (hope my spell is correct) are also very helpful and efficient, it's comfortable to talk to them about scheduling and other logistics questions. Care: Jasmin and Dr.Suchak were beyond excellent in providing me with sooooo much information about my teeth, my gums, past dental work, etc. I don't remember my previous dentist doing all this. I have never had a dentist that has been so thorough with an examination, so knowledgeable and patient enough to explain step-by-step procedures past dental work, future dental work needed, and take the time to go over The future dental work that may be needed. He answered all my questions. Staff and Doctor: The girls in the front were very welcoming. Very nice and I am so happy to have Jasmin assisting me with x-rays. She was great super friendly super nice. I felt very comfortable being here. Jasmine gave me so many details over every exam she did she explained it thoroughly and she made sure I was comfortable every step of the way, she even gave me a snack and some water. Dr.Suchak spent a good amount of time going over my teeth and explained to me differences in treatments. More than anything I appreciated that they took the time to do all this with me and put me first when discussing options. They made sure that I understood everything they were saying. Most doctor dentists I have been to just kinda talk through me or around me to the assistants so it's great to be at a place that prioritizes my concerns and talks to ME. The woman helping me with insurance was also very kind, so easy to talk to, gave me all the information I needed to take the next step. This was my first day here, and after today I'm excited because I finally found a place that really acts top notch. I can't say enough how great this dental office is, especially these two dentists. My son was having tooth pain on a Friday night back in May. I called the next morning to get an appointment but unfortunately they were closed. I left a voice message and shortly after received a phone call from dentist Suchak. He instructed me to take a picture of the tooth causing pain and give my son some pain medication. Later that evening he followed up to see how he was. But by Sunday morning the pain had returned so he opened his business just to care for my son. I can't thank them enough! I suffer from bad anxiety because I do have a pituitary adenoma that makes my cortisol levels rise up. They are such an amazing team and so human, very caring, such active listeners and most of all very patient. I been here so far a couple times! I haven't been to the dentist in a while and I was so embarrassed to show up with cavities and whatever problems my teeth may have. The first appt was amazing, they do not make you feel judge but make a care plan on working on your teeth to be much more healthier! First we took care of my cavaties ( two appts) each one was amazing, I did not feel a thing because how amazing they worked on my teeth. I got my wisdom teeth remove shortly after and it went well! The did such an amazing job that the healing was a breeze and not as painful as i expected! Finally, I came in today for a deep cleaning, and it was a little painful but they talked to me so kindly and make sure im okay through the procedure. I really appreciate the staff's kindness and the dentists careness. I have more work to do, like one more cleaning and teeth whitening! I am no longer afraid of the dentist! I was recommended to Queens Dental from a friend of mine because I was concerned about what I believed to be a cracked tooth. When I arrived to the dental office everyone at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. I was able to see two different Drs that are absolutely wonderful! Honestly they are the two best Drs I've had ever, they explained everything throughly and always made sure I was feeling comfortable during the exam. Turned out I only had some cracked fillings due to my Trenton grinding at night. They were able To have me come back and take care of the fillings and even got a night guard to prevent future damage. This place just want YOUR MONEY. Not even your insurance money, but your own out of pocket money. They are nice, but they are just trying to be friendly and let your guard down. This is the first dentist in my life that made me paid out-of-pocket for annual cleaning. I've had different insurance, but they are all pretty good and I've never been to a dentist that charges me. I went to this dentist TWICE (second time was 2 years later and I forgot how bad it was the first time) and he charged me $60+ the first time and $80+ the second time for an annual cleaning because he claims regular cleaning is not enough for my teeth. That is a total lie because I went to other dentist and this never ever happened. Also the "upgraded" cleaning was the EXACT same thing as the regular cleaning and I could not see any difference. I was just tricked into paying because if I didn't pay they wouldn't do any cleaning for me at all during my dentist visit. He said I had cavities and I needed to get fillings, but I need to come back a second time for that. The nurse gave me a quotation and wanted me to sign it for the next visit. I told her I'll just sign it next time. They were planning to charge me another $80 just for FILLINGS! I double checked my insurance and that is INCLUDED. I really have never been to a dentist that wants to charge me out of pocket for all these basic things that are covered by my insurance. This place and this dentist is ridiculous. He also suggest I should get invisalign and told me his son is an "expert". All the other dentist I've been to told me I do not need to get braces and I SHOULD NOT get braces because of the structure of my teeth. If I want to get braces, not only would I have to pull out several front teeth, I would have problem with biting and chewing. Just because he wanted to make money for his family business he was going to put me in so much trouble. I would never ever ever come back here again. And I suggest everybody to AVOID this place. BEWARE! If you read previous negative reviews, they've done this before!! I am not the first!!! Welp! One year later and I am pissed! I want to preface this by saying the Doctors and the Nurses are sweet and very nice people. HOWEVER, the biggest part beside the teeth is the money part and they messed up one too many times. Long Story time: A couple of months ago they told me I had to remove 4 of my wisdom teeth. Okay, schedule me. When they did they said my insurance is going to be processed and taken care of we will see you on the day. (Can't remember exact date it was) So, about a month goes by, I took a week off of work because that's what the dentist said to do and I was ready to go for my pulling the next day. They confirmed my appointment via text but something felt off? I mean did my insurance cover everything since they hadn't called me? What is the price? I gave them a call and they told me my insurance never went through and I have to pay the whole thing.. Uhh what?! Wait a minute! You think I can afford about 2,000 dollars for my wisdom teeth to get done? Why didn't you guys call and tell me? After, I had to reschedule my appointment and be on their butts about my dam insurance. After this long ordeal my insurance didn't go through again and had to reschedule again. BUT mind you I am calling them every other day and on top of it! Cause apparently I can pull money out of my butt to pay for this. Before I left I asked for my printed claim so I know how much I, the patient needs to pay. Which came out to $645. NOW we are to the recent event. I had my new appointment to pull my wisdom teeth and I took off a week from work AGAIN!!. (Which in the economy I NEED to work) Anyway, in my head my insurance went through, I know how much I am paying, I have the week off, and I am ready to go! I got the confirmation text of my appointment and I pressed confirm! When, 5 minutes later I get another text saying you will be paying something like $1,609. WHAT!?!? That's not what my physical copy said of the price! Mind you this is all the day before my appointment. The next morning before my appointment I give them a call. The receptionist is nice but just as confused why I have two different prices. She then goes on to say "Oh they made a mistake..I was told about it YESTERDAY! " Wait!! So you guys knew about the mistake and didn't even call me!? Okay you knew about the mistake yesterday...what about the girl who takes care of all of this?? It's her literal job!!! I was pissed off! I took off work now twice of entire week for you guys to do this to me again!?!?! The financial lady came on the phone and tried to explain what happened. Honestly, I was seeing red I didn't give two shits what she had to say. I let little situations like this go several times cause I really enjoyed the doctors and the people but this is your job! How did this happen multiple times?? From what my husband told me( who had to physically grab the phone from me and kick me out of the room) someone submitted the paper work under the wrong doctor and that changes the prices. Which the doctor it was submitted under doesn't even do wisdom teeth! So yea! When my husband got on the phone to respond with she isn't coming today, we lost connection. Did the lady call us back? Nope. Whatever! So my sweet husband called back after 5 minutes and let them know I am not coming back ever again. Again, these are the latest two instances that happened and they finally pushed me over the edge. I dealt with all of the previous situations before and let them go cause I loved the doctors and nurses their. But dealing with the money is such a big part of getting services done. I couldn't do it anymore. So I guess if you want great doctors and have money coming out of your butt and dont care if they continue to screw the financial side of things... this is your place! read more
