4/7/26 Dr. Monina again did a terrific job for the filling of my tooth. I felt comfortable last night and today! My #24 tooth is now less painful that can be from my hard cookies I ate (Dr. Monina reminded me this eating issue) and this very week and small tooth (1/3 or more less in regular size), Then she warned me last week that whitening using a tray for my teeth will not whiten the crown or filling! I am glad I did not do whitening! Thanks for her good advice as always. Thanks to this great dental office team, Dr. Man, Dr. Monina, other dentists and the staff are so professional and friendly such as giving me an appointment in an emergency like a walk-in yesterday!!! I only waited for a few, like five minutes to be seated and checked by the doctors in the operation room. They both and their staff are very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. What I like is that Dr Yeap introduced to me the floss threader to clean my upper front teeth which are bound together by another dentist and cannot be cleaned by regular floss. She was concerned I may lose my teeth if I do not floss correctly. Other dentists didn't tell me about this floss threader. I really appreciate her so much. Two previous dentists put fear on me by telling me the possibility of infection of my broken tooth to the head and or to the jaw if I do not take it out and get a bridge, a denture, or an implant. After more than a half year since July 2023, there has not been an infection! Praise God! Dr. Man and Dr. Yeap recommended the removal of my broken tooth but didn't scare me of any major infection like other two dentists. Yet, it was painful for the anesthesia shots of my whole gum for a deep cleaning but I bore with it. I prayed, thought, and cried: God, please help me! The environment is clean and comfortable. I strongly recommend this dental office, not just for men but also for women (Lol ), to all my thousands of friends and email recipients. Came here for an emergency tooth extraction and honestly had one of the strangest dental experiences. X-ray wasn't covered by insurance ($65), then they said I needed a CT scan ($275, also not covered) after I was already numbed. One doctor claimed I had 7 cavities, which my own dentist never mentioned just a few months ago. The worst part? While I was lying on the chair numbed, the front desk walked in to charge me right there. Felt very unprofessional and pushy. The actual extraction by the lead doctor was fine, but the overall process felt more like a money-making routine than genuine patient care. If you're in urgent pain, it will get the job done, but if you have options--go somewhere else. read more

HOW DO CROWNS RESULT FROM A TINY CORNER CHIP!!! I have been coming to Man Dental for 3+ years. I first had Dr. Ramirez at this office who was able to do exams, cleanings, two major fillings, and a chip in my tooth without issue. I gave Dr. Man's office 5 stars on Yelp since July '21 because of Dr. Ramirez, but she has since left Dr. Man's office. I had my next appt. with Dr. Man who did a good job on a cleaning a year ago, and then the problems started when I recently asked him to fix a tiny chip in a front tooth. He left a tiny "slice out" where the chip was and shaved off the bottom portion of the front tooth next to it so that both front teeth slightly sloped upward toward each other. I saw this when I inspected it closer at home, and I was dismayed that the head of highly rated dentist office had shaved off too much from his filling, then instead of fixing it, he shaved a good tooth so it could be flush with the tooth he had messed up. I had a cleaning scheduled 2.5 months later so I asked the office, and they confirmed that they would have time to fix the Dr.'s error along with the cleaning. After multiple errors by Dr. Man and attempts at fixing them, Dr. Man took out big corners on the outside of my two front teeth that I specifically told him multiple times not to touch. Another Dr. (Dr. Lee) in his office already agreed to fix it, but Dr. Man is not letting him. He told his staff lies to try to make them manipulate me into not holding him accountable. After letting them know in multiple ways Dr. Man was lying to them about the situation (it took a lot to have them realize that they were unethically gaslighting me by repeatedly saying "you've had multiple adjustments to get them how you want" and that, in reality, I was being forced to go back multiple times because of Dr. Man's errors in taking out chunks of good teeth and leaving them looking worse, in those appts. having 60 min then 90 min wait times and being told to come back some another time, and now dealing with his staff trying to lie so he wouldn't be held accountable), two of them said they would go back and discuss it with Dr. Man once it was undeniable how manipulative they were sounding, but a third, Brenda, seemed willing to try to manipulate and lie to me. She even went so far as to adamantly lie that he mentioned crowns when I initially asked him to fix the small chip in my front tooth. HOW WOULD THAT EVEN COME UP, BRENDA? I HAVE HAD NO MAJOR WORK. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A LONG AND DETAILED DISCUSSION IF HE HAD MENTIONED CROWNS RESULTING FROM A TINY CORNER CHIP. Brenda said Dr. Man said I needed a crown to fix Dr. Man's errors and that Dr. Man would not have his own dentist fix it with a filling or pay for another dentist to fix it with a filling. The "After" picture: -The floors of my front teeth are still a little crooked. -He "sliced out" the outsides of my front teeth. This is an area I told him multiple times not to touch. This makes the floors of my front teeth look unnaturally short. Also, one slice out is bigger and starts lower than the other - asymmetric. -These are the outside corners he won't let his own dentist fill in, and today, he suddenly says I need a crown to fix them. The "Before" pictures: -Straight teeth -No outside corner slices. Most of us have seen the picture advertisement where you immediately focus on a missing tooth and don't even notice the missing eyebrow. That shows these two front teeth are the most important, and the conspicuous bad dental work Dr. Man has left me with will subconsciously make people treat you worse. read more

I would give negative stars if it was an option. This dental office is like walking into the 9th circle of hell. Not only do they make you wait hours just to be taken back to a room, but they will numb you and leave you in a chair for hours like they have completely forgotten about you. They constantly overbook and you are left waiting for sometimes no service to be provided at all because they are severely understaffed. They do not respect anyone's time or mental health. Imagine having epilepsy and the office is fully aware of that, they numb you and leave you under fluorescent lighting (a trigger for epileptic folks) for hours just to tell you that you will receive no treatment. Absolutely despicable and disrespectful. The amount of times this has happened you would think they'd know better and start staffing better or schedule appointments accordingly. Apparently, they don't have the sharpest minds managing the calendars. Their business ethics, and the way they line patients up like it's a free event at a park to get your dog neutered is disgusting. I really can't say enough bad things about this dental office. Everyone that works here and seems like theirs quite a few employees are Extremely nice, caring and compassionate. I'm very impressed with Sandy who is Office Manager. Her knowledge of all things dental is very impressive. She is so easy to talk to and also very helpful and understanding. This is why the office staff and Techs are so awesome. Its all in the management. Dr. Monina is also very caring and compassionate. She extracted my molar and put me at ease. She explained everything and was in no hurry to get me out of there. It is very refreshing going to a business that has way better quality of service, short wait time, attentive staff, and low traffic of visitors. Failed rootcanal in front tooth. Dr was in a rush, horrible bedside manners, vague communication, the office was busy, she was the only dr there going back and forth between patients. I now have to see another dentist to have my root canal redone which is costing me $500 out of pocket when it should of been free with my insurance but because she did it wrong, I'm having to suffer the consequences of her actions. Not to mention they didn't even send me the right referral in which that took additional days to figure out. This was back in July/Aug 2024 I've yet to get my rootcanal redone because I can't afford it. They should refund me the money my insurance paid them! Finally found an HONEST dentist! I kid you not before I found Man dental i haven't been to a dentist in 3yrs due to being traumatized by lying dentists. I even started to do dental visits in Europe when I go on a vecay. I went to a dentist about 5 yrs ago in Azusa. At first they said I had 2 cavities. Went back to get it filled it was another dentist who said I didn't have any. 6 months later I go in with NO extra and the dentist put me down for 16 cavities. I swear 16! After that I know I was scammed so I stopped. Then I found one in west covina 3 yrs later heard she was honest by my cousin, she put me down for 4 cavities knowing I told her my story. On the same day that I was going to get my cavities done I had an Appointment with Man dental for my kids. I asked to get my teeth checked ( because I wanted another opinion) I didn't tell them my story. Turns out I HAD 0 CAVITIES! I told him my story and he said where??? There aren't any. Where to begin. I took my daughter to another dentist in Pasadena. It was a horrible experience. I couldn't get her to go go back to any dentist. She was honestly terrified. They really hurt her. She told the Dentist she could feel it They told her to get up and go with her mom. They left her bleeding. Wouldn't give us any gauze. We were referred to Man Dental. Amazing experience!!
