Got there close to closing time and I offered to come another day but they said it was fine. The guy doing my nails was rushed and not gentle AT ALL even after saying he was hurting my wrist. I HATE tipping or feeling the pressure to leave a tip when the service is not good. The woman greeting you as you come in was nice enough, but they should pick a time and stop serving clients instead of pushing clients on the techs if they are unhappy about having the work to do. I would imagine there are plenty of service industry people the would have been happy to have the work considering all the closures due to Covid. On then other hand....this picture is after 3 weeks. Obviously I need a fill, but they have stayed on and the polish looks great. I may not be very happy with the customer service, but the work he did was excellent so I will give them another shot. I honestly only went here because I was in a hurry and it's next to my (amazing) eyebrow place. Big mistake. I don't usually complain on yelp or review places at all, but I've never had a manicure that I wanted to immediately take off and go get redone at my usual place. It was just a gel manicure. It was rushed, she didn't have me wash my hands after filing so there was nail dust all over my nails and hands, it's bumpy, she got paper towel fibers under the top coat on one nail because she wiped the brush on a paper towel between strokes. Then left me at the end with the alcohol wipe and told me to wipe my nails off myself after the timer on the uv light went off, and she turned the light off got up and went to do a pedicure. Literally left me in the dark with 30 seconds left on the timer. It's almost comical. I know black nail polish is difficult, but the other salons I go to have no issue giving me a perfect manicure. Save your money, friends!! There are two places in Destin and one in Bluewater that are SO MUCH BETTER. Luxe Nail Bar in Destin, Destiny Nail Salon in Miramar Beach (Steve is great!), and in Bluewater Bow Tie Nail Bar. Good luck! I just left this place and I'm pissed.... 1. The tech started my water, went outside and smoked, and didn't wash his hands before he started touching my feet. 2. I have videos of my tech watching TV damn near the whole time he was giving me a pedicure. He stopped in the middle of painting them multiple times to watch tv. He even scooted his chair next to mine to get a better view at one point. 3. Everything is UNEVEN. I got a "French tip" on my toes and one side of the nail paint is skinny and the other side is fat. And of course the nail its self is now uneven. 4. He didn't cut my cuticles correctly... they're still there and still glaring at me. 5. I had originally asked for gel fingernail polish and once he got half way through my manicure, I asked him if the green clear gel was apart of the gel process... he said "no gel... normal paint" ND kept going (YES they had gel polish, but he definitely didn't use it on me.) Clearly I'm asking for a reason. 6. Just like my toes, all the paint is crooked. He didn't shape my nails, just took the tops off for a square look... no matter how sharp or crooked the edges. Therefore leaving crooked paint as the only option. It's skinny in some parts and fat in others. He didn't even ask if I wanted it thick or thin. It's so thin in some spots that it looks like my nails grew out and I bit them off leaving some paint behind. A child could've done a better paint job. I will NOT be going back here AT ALL. Okay, day two now on my horrible pedicure and actually my first review was too kind. I just uploaded photos of my pedicure taken on day two so everyone could judge for themselves what type of work they think Nick does. I feel justified in calling him out in this way because I went back to him 20 minutes after he did this and he did not care at all that I was unhappy and did not help me other than by slapping on more sloppy paint. After all the lotion he put on my feet is gone I can see that it looks like my feet weren't scraped at all and my cuticles look a mess. Basically, it looks like I just did a terrible messy job on my toes myself. Which is so frustrating because I paid $36 and took an hour of my day and now I will have to spend more time to fix this mess. Argh, so frustrating. TL;DR, Bad service, I now have topcoat over my bloody cuticles I went to this place because it's right next to the best eyebrow place in the area. I just removed my gel nails and I told the nail techs that I just had gel nails and wanted cleaning. Either he didn't know what cleaning meant or he was trying to act dumb that he didn't know what cleaning meant and that he was desperate to have me get nail gels again because he kept on offering it still. That should have been my first sign that this was a bad nail place because any good nail techs would recommend you to take breaks between gel manicures to keep your nails healthy. My second sign was that he brought out a plastic bowl of soapy water and asked me to dip my hands in there, the water was scalding. Then he proceeded to nip my cuticles which was ny third sign since no good nail tech would nip your cuticles vs pushing it. My last sign and when I should've just walked out was when my cuticles were bleeding and the nail tech just kept on buffing it. The experience just got worse with bad polish (mine was uneven and had bubbles) and the icing on the cake was when the nail tech put top coat over my bloody cuticles. After reading the first review about this place AFTER I was already in the chair I was hesitant about having whoever the male nail tech was work on me. Ironically the only male technician was available but wasn't mean or rude when I requested that I wait for a female technician to be free. So that was a plus for me. I had Kim work my mani/pedi. It was exactly what the doctor ordered. My french pedi still intact and no issues, and my mani looks awesome. She convinced me to go with the shellac polish and I'm happy with the decision. No military discount but I did have a great massage. It's also right next to my favorite threading place iBrow Experts and directly across the street from Uptown Station. Only downside is that they want to limit their credit card fees and ask if you can pay in cash that you can. They can take CC if that's all you have though. read more

The positive: I went in for a manicure and pedicure and the staff was friendly and pleasant, and the gentleman doing my pedicure did a good job on the French pedicure. The bad: Same gentleman doing my nails, but we shift over to the manicure. When he's cleaning and cutting my cuticles, rather roughly, he pulls, leaving a painful cut and dollop of blood. He winces, put a bit of that astringent or equivalent on and moves on. Three additional bloody cuticles later and my fingers are stinging painfully and throbbing and he's being just as rough. Add to that that I think he had another appointment after me and he's rushing with my right hand so, after I leave I really get to looking at my fingers and he really didn't clean or trim and excess skin or otherwise attend to around the nail-beds of my right hand (save for the one finger he made bleed on that hand). I effectively did not receive a manicure on my right hand, I received a quick paint-job. I now have four noticeable scabs on four of my cuticles and a wedding coming up. A "spa" is supposed to be a place where you go, get away and relax once in a while, if you want that then don't get your nails done with KIM, it is my second time getting my nails done with her and both have been a bad experience, the first time was about a year ago, I did not want to write a review I just let it go, but today I just had to, I learned from my 3 years getting my nails done in USA, to always ask for prices before getting anything done so I don't get surprises at the cashier, but when I asked her about the prices, she told me not to "nag her about prices" and that I pay for more expensive things like my photoshoot ( I told her that I was going to get a photoshoot for my baby who's sitting on her own) and she even dare to asked me how much the photoshoot costs and compare the prices ? Girl let me tell you something, I buy what I want and what I pay for my nails have anything to do with it, and like I said in the spa, I am a costumer and I have all the right to ask, well after that she gave attitude the whole time, and she kept bragging about how her nails were the best, and no one does her nails like her, for $70 I am not that impressed, yes that's right $70 for a full set only, and I wouldn't had any problem to pay for it that's why I am there, and the gentlemen who did my nails the week before him was so much better and had so much more nicer attitude, which is more important, also one day you told me not to come back to get my nails done with my baby because she fussy that only day, and the costumer were annoyed, and yesterday she was holding a puppy while getting my nails done, I don't even think the health department would think that's appropriate, but my baby is way more clean than that puppy, it is sad that this women works in this business because the only reason I go there is because is very convenient for me to get my nails done next to my eyebrow threading.
