I did include brief notes on what I was looking for. My first appt was changed to a different stylist (listed as having only 5 years experience) without consulting me. I called and rescheduled for the next week with the original person I requested. When I showed up, she didn't even meet me (look at my hair texture, discuss what I wanted, etc.) before the woman at the front desk washed my hair. When she came out, she looked nothing like the photo I initially saw on their website - part of my reason for choosing her was that she had a similar hair cut to what I needed trimmed up.... Now today her image is different, which is very confusing. I tried to explain what I wanted, but she basically just trimmed my bangs and my longest layers. She didn't try to clean up the shorter layers or frame my face, and then she put in a curl product to just leave my hair wet until I asked for a bit more drying. My hair isn't actually curly. I have thick, wavy hair which is also why I have layers. It felt like my preference to work with her was an inconvenience. I could have gone to a super cheap place like Great Clips to get the exact same end look. She was friendly enough chatting during the cut but never really asked about the look I wanted. It was very disconcerting after having such an amazing stylist for the past year & half in CO. Now I have to find another salon and hope that they might actually take the time to discuss what I want and spend more than 15 minutes cutting my hair. The conversations from the other stylists and clients was pretty abrasive (very Jerry Springer).

I had an appointment with Kristianna, who just after meeting her, I knew she would be able to carry out what I wanted. I'm not too picky when it comes to color, but I definitely need a place that uses the best color dyes (e.g. Goldwell). My roots were growing out real bad, and I wanted to refresh my ends with the trendy ombre look. Kristianna is an expert, she's amazing and will tell you the step-by-step procedures, so you understand what colors work best with you. The entire time I was at ease, and Kristianna was so much fun to talk to. And what I loved even more was that she gave me advice on hair products and even recommended me some, but didn't push for a sale. She gave me great maintenance tips, and she's so incredibly nice. Although I am moving away, I don't care how far I will travel, this salon will be my go-to place whenever I'm back in the area. The prices are reasonable, the service is amazing, and I can just go on and on...and I can't stop touching my hair! I am seriously counting down the days until my next visit! I LOVE YOU GUYS!
