I went to Maria on a whim to help me with my damaged hair, She was able to do the consult and fit me in same day which I loved, but how she handled my damaged hair was a bit rough. When washing she was scrubbing and pulling my hair all over, and not being delicate with already damaged hair. She brushed very harshly and fast like she was in a hurry, while blow drying my hair she was brushing my cheeks and forehead with the brush (mainly because she was going way too fast and not paying attention) she decided it was best to color my damaged hair (said it was semi) which I agreed too it left my hair super dry and a little more brittle. We did a tiny cut and she also did a olaplaex treatment. For those three things it was 170.00 I think that was a little expensive since she literally only took about half an inch off my hair. I loved how fast she got me in but she was just rushing too much and not really paying attention. I didn't realize it was her in home salon and when I showed up to the consult my son knocked on the door and she opened it in a robe that wasn't closed all the way and said she forgot about our appointment and couldn't believe it was already 2pm didn't even bother to tell us as a new client to go to the side door since it was her home. She seemed very knowledgeable, but she was very skittish, jumpy and rushing a lot. She reached out about a week later asking how my hair felt and I told her it was feeling this way and her response was "ya" and nothing else. Keeps asking me to write a review (asked me 3 times) so this is my honest open review. I wouldn't go to her if you have damaged hair because she was so rough with it. But anything else I think she knows what she is doing for the basics.

A little disappointed is an understatement. I neglected 6 red flags. I reached out to the salon with my concern. Although they stated they could get me another consultation with a different stylist, I declined because Becca was already a level 6. I was disappointed that they didn't even offer a reimbursement or even a partial reimbursement. I will not use this salon again and recommend researching all stylists at this location before booking an appointment. Below is the requested hair style, and the results received. At a level 6 stylist, you would believe that Becca would have said she could not achieve the results requested.

The receptionist was very very pleasant(and forgiving for me to call right when they open!!). I mentioned my hair type first because people are usually scared when they see it. I was assured that they had someone that could do it and were able to fit me in later on today. I believe my stylist was Jess (tall blonde) and she was amazing. Very patient, and understanding. I requested a blowout and a trim, the price I was quoted over the phone was the exact price I was charged. She was very gentle the entire way though. Not the slightest pull or thug while detangling. I feel a lot more comfortable being a repeat customer. Fingers crossed they get someone else that can do more styles tailored to my hair type, but definitely not a deal breaker. Overall I had a great visit , the staff is lovely, and I will be back in a few months for my next blowout and trim.

Interaction: Angela was very kind and "appeared" to understand my hair issues at first. But, I was wrong about the latter. The hair cut: I felt uglier when I came out than when I came in and I currently have no way of styling my hair except for wearing it over one shoulder. It bothers me immensely and makes me very self conscious. :( If Angela couldn't fix my hair issues at the time, dealing with my face frame, I would have rather she had just been honest and said I had to wait longer to get it cut and grow out my hair some more. She also took volume away from my layers: something that I loved about my hair. It feels like she does not have a lot of experience styling voluminous, Italian hair. Also, when she gave me my hair cut, she cut the whole thing dry and then washed it. She didn't apply any product before blow-drying out and I looked like a poodle! I honestly told her I did not like it and did not know how to style it. I'm very upset and will not return. I do not recommend this salon at all.
