The BEST chinese place in the area. I'm kinda picky about my chinese food, and yes, usually the hole in the wall chinese place is usually the best, compared to my other options in the area. Not this place. It's my favorite. Everything I've order from them has been fresh, hot, and delicious. While their combination platters are a little pricey compared to other places, I would much rather pay the few extra dollars to go here. Usually when I find a chinese place, there's one good item out of my favorites. Lo mein and fried rice. Most places can't make them both great, but here they are simply the best. Add some chicken with broccoli and I'm set. And their egg rolls are the only ones I'll order local. Love this place!! read more

No joke, found a 1" long piece of metal in my food. I had chicken pad Thai & vegetable lo mein in the same bowl, so I'm not sure which provided the foreign object. This metallic memory will never leave me. I tossed both containers and am disgusted. read more

I decided to stop here for lunch for the first time, and I will be coming back! The inside of the restaurant is spacious and allows for customers to sit and dine in if they'd like. I have been coming to clean for years. I have never ever had a bad meal! They are so nice there. I'm a creature of habit because I always order their shrimp egg rolls and their honey walnut shrimp and it is always phenomenal always! I guess I'm becoming a regular because I order online now and when I walk in they know who it's for LOL I will continue to keep coming back that's for sure! Queen don't change a thing read more

Lucky to get one star, I tried to explain my disappointment about my order and they hung up on me. I ordered cold sesame noodles and there was water, yes water from the noodles not being drained properly, in the bottom of the take out container. I still cannot believe how rude they were to me on the phone. plenty of more options in the area. read more

Decent Chinese food in the neighborhood. I usually go to another spot, but was in the area. Ordered a pretty standard menu: chicken and broccoli, beef with white rice, and eggrolls. Plenty of food was given and had leftovers for lunch the next day. The prices here are a little higher than I'm used too, but the food was a solid 7/10. read more

Got takeout from here while staying in the area. I ordered the kung pao chicken and an egg roll. My order was ready in a reasonable amount of time. They don't take American Express , which always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I also grabbed one of those homemade iced teas they sell in there as I didn't have anything to drink. All my food was really good, not amazing but definitely not bad Chinese food. The ice tea I got was actually the highlight for me, so good!!! I have a love/hate relationship with Chinese food. I love eating it and it hates me when I do eat it. Like I've said in previous reviews of the Chinese variety, the food often doesn't agree with me. I'm not sure if it's the MSG or perhaps a not so clean fryer, but most places make me sick as a dog. So when I find a place that I don't feel ill from I go and go and go some more. Queen is one of those places, I've had nothing but a great experience here, the employees are friendly, the food is delicious and their prices are really affordable. I think I've tried just about all their soups and each one is better than the next. Check out their combination platters, most place only do a combo for lunch, but Queen has them all day, you get an entree, white or fried rice and soup or an egg roll for around $7. The only problem I have with Queen is the location. That lot can not handle the traffic on a weekday. That liquor store does some mad business. read more

This is my go to place for Chinese take. I actually pass 2 Chinese restaurants on the way to this place. The food is consistent. Really a fan of their hot and sour soup and the sesame chicken. The staff is courteous and polite, so there's not really more you could ask for. read more

Stopped for small wonton and shrimp fried rice. Soup broth was light colored and clear which implied freshness. Rice wasn't over cooked. Unfortunately, both were very bland and lacked flavor. Queen's is in a pleasant location and it a nice distance away from a lot of schools and businesses that may want to go out for a quick lunch. Their homemade tea is refreshing, and everything they offer tend to be delicious... with exception to their pan fried dumplings. If you don't eat dumplings, this place is amazing, if you are like me, however, and adore pan fried dumplings, I would look for another Chinese restaurant because their dumplings resemble fried eggs. The consistency is unappealing and it is overall bland. Other than that, their prices are fair, and they tend to have amazing lunch deals which always helps when you're in college! read more

The Spring rolls are good. I think it is clean. I like the fact that they have vegetarian options. I ordered beef fried rice and replaced the beef with vegetarian meat. I am a vegetarian so it is nice to go there for me and have these options. It is a Family business and the older daughter works the front desk. I don't see a problem with this. read more

After our third takeout experience, its time to review. Everything we have ordered was wonderful, food was fresh and very tasty. Make sure you explore what they have, the vegetables are really good and not the normal "mush" that you get in other takeout spots. The soups are incredible, and if you order the combination platter skip the eggroll and try the egg drop. YUMMMM! It would be 5 star if not for the traffic / idiots / area. read more

I ordered take out here once. I probably will never do so again. They told us that it would be 20 minutes. We arrived 18 minutes later, and our food wasn't ready for about 40 minutes after that. In total, that was an hour to pick up take out when they told me 20 minutes. Had I been on a schedule, I would have been pissed. They weren't even that busy. There were maybe 3 orders that came up before ours, and the restaurant was completely empty. After all of that was said and done, the food was mediocre at best. If you're going to get Chinese in Flourtown, don't go here. There's a place a quarter mile north on bethlehem pike that is 10 times better (and still cheaper) read more

A four star rating for getting more than I expected. I just moved to the area and I went in looking for a cheap quick meal. I ordered shrimp with cashews on the lunch special and did not expect much - i was running errands in the area. It included egg drop soup (pretty good), and had the option of brown rice which was a nice, healthy alternative. It came with a small serving of fried noodles with duck sauce (I prefer hot mustard). The shrimp were quite large (and unexpectedly deveined for $6.25) and the sauce was light and not gooey. Service was quick and while the structure of the dining room was a little strange (long and narrow) it was very clean. To top it all off I love any place that has an open kitchen. You can always assume the kitchen is cleaner when you can see right into the kitchen. read more

The food and cooking are very good, but the management and organization is the worst! The front of the house is run by kids and its very amateurish. We have been there a number of times for takeout. A couple of months ago they did not get our order right, leaving off half the order. It got better and we return because of the quality of the cooking. Tonight they gave our order to another customer. Actually offered to call the customer to have them return the food. Um, health code violation! They chose not to make our order or offer anything other than a 30 minute wait requiring us to reorder. We will not return until they remove the children from running the store. read more

I just called in a "combo" order for takeout for lunch and felt like I'd been had. After I paid I realized that I had paid $3 more ($9.25 vs $6.25). I asked the the lady working the register/phone the reason for the higher price. She said I ordered the "combo" not the "lunch special." Hilarious....I actually think the portions are about the same. I didn't want to cause a scene and I kind of blame myself for not being more cautious when ordering. I really didn't think there was a difference since most other Chinese restaurants call it a "combo" too. Anyway, keep in mind when ordering "combo" vs "lunch special". Unfortunately, she didn't volunteer that information over the phone. I ordered the beef with mixed vegetable combo and it was actually pretty good though. Love Queen Chinese! We moved from Philly, where all the Chinese food tasted the same, twice (or more) cooked chicken pieces. The chicken and all other ingredients are made fresh every time. The vegetables are perfectly cooked, not mush. I'm gluten free and they even made me General's Chicken with non-breaded chicken, Yum! We are super happy with our food every time. read more
