Forget this place. They're wine selection is full of unremarkable labels. PLUS, I bought one of their most expensive Pinot Noirs and when I got home and opened it was very disappointed to find that the wine had spoiled either in transit by their distributor or by being exposed to the air. Not their fault, of course. BUT, when I went back and explained the situation and asked them to swap it out they REFUSED because I'd "already opened it". I nodded somewhat disbelievingly and tried to clarify that it was in fact by opening it that I discovered it was bad, and reiterated that I simply wished to swap it out and wasn't trying to get money back. I showed them the bottle was full. One of the 3 individuals behind the counter then went on a needless, protracted explanation about how they won't get any credit or compensation if they take the bottle, and advised me to talk to the company, thereby not so subtly implying that the losses and misfortunes would remain mine for (1) having the bad luck of picking one of their spoiled bottles of wine, and (2) apparently having the bad sense to get a bottle of wine along this major trucking corridor by these roadside hucksters. They may not look like an average seedy liquor store as they have gone to the trouble to cozy their business in a newer, more modern structure built, no doubt, by the cold hard cash that flows through the cannabis dispensary to which they are adjoined. It's brilliant, really; put your completely average liquor store in a fancy looking building that rises uniquely amidst the waste and ruin of that transportation thoroughfare. It sure fooled me. But as they say, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice... aha, nope. I'll never be going there twice. I happily took my dollars elsewhere to a very legitimate competitor less than a mile away. So here's my conclusion folks: if you must buy adult beverages (especially wine!) along north Quebec, save your pennies and your health by pulling off into one of those nearby shopping areas where you are far less likely to be struck by a semi and far less likely to be swindled by the likes of Quebec Liquor. read more
