The reason I'm writing the review is because in addition to being a great tutor, Tyler's friendly and approachable style was a great fit for my son, and he did an exceptional job in communicating with me. He seems to genuinely care about his tutees...he followed up after exams and AP testing to check in on how my son did. I 100% recommend AJ Tutoring and Tyler. Effective, and just good people.

He dealt with my son's lack of confidence in Physics as well as the subject material. Within a couple of weeks, my son was scoring well on quizzes and effectively getting through his homework instead of staring at it with no progress. Now it is his favorite class. It is taking awhile for his grade to come up, but it is headed the right direction and my son actually understands the material now. Additionally, Phil, the owner was exceptionally great to interact with too, and I appreciate the monthly billing being clear and understandable. Overall, it has been a great relationship, and we have been customers for only about 6 weeks at the time of this writing.

Her explanations are concise but still super informative--she can literally summarize an entire unit in a day without it ever feeling rushed or overwhelming. For ACT prep, we only had about a month, and as someone who really struggles with standardized tests, she made the whole process finally make sense. With her strategies and support, I was able to raise my reading score from a 29 to a 35, which I honestly never thought was possible. AJ Tutoring as a whole is an amazing place. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and genuinely supportive, and they even think about the small details like snacks, which makes a big difference during long sessions. I couldn't recommend Dipti or AJ Tutoring more.

We were looking for an excellent tutor to help my niece with Chemistry Honors and Pre-Calculus for…read morequite a while. Thrive Tutors really has some great tutors that love their job! Our tutor has been tutoring my niece, a sophomore at Homestead High School, for the past year and a half now. We have developed a great relationship with her, and as much as I hesitate recommending her for selfish reasons (we want her all for ourselves!), she has been so great to us that I feel this is the least I could do (I'm not giving out her name though!). As most of us know, many times students run into "academic emergencies", whether it be a quiz or exam they have the next day, project overload, or any other major school-related crisis. We've had our fair share of those, and each time our tutor has been there to save the day. I mean, literally save the day. We've had her come to our house at 9:00pm the night before an exam, with a calm, understanding smile on her face, and leave an hour later with plenty of tips and words of encouragement for my niece. My niece responds very well to her encouraging style of instruction, and always goes to her exams feeling confident after tutoring sessions. I've also noticed my niece's study habits improved dramatically since we started working with our tutor. She is a lot more organized and knows how to approach difficult concepts - something she has always struggled with. Last point - I've worked with tutoring companies where we've paid 80 - 90$ an hour for a tutor (which I find ridiculous), and this company definitely does a much better job for half the price.

She came to our house and not only answered my daughter's questions, but gave her excellent study tips to help her pass her exam. We started working with the tutor every week, and my daughter's grades improved in every class! I decided to use the tutor for my son as well, who was in chemistry honors. Overall I felt the tutors Dana provided (our tutor left for college the next year so we got another one) were excellent, the price was very, very reasonable, and the whole process was extremely convenient. We developed a great relationship with both Dana and the tutors, and I really think it made a huge impact on my kids. Their grades really improved.

As a parent, I honestly felt we had started the college application process too late. We first…read morebegan working with Mr. Park during the summer before senior year, and I was worried there would not be enough time to really help my son. But after meeting him, my thinking completely changed. From the beginning, Mr. Park was very clear, organized, and realistic with us. He did not just give general advice like many other counselors. He took time to understand my son's strengths, personality, and goals, and gave guidance based specifically on him. That made a very big difference for us. He helped a lot with essays and personal statements. Many times he pushed my son to think deeper and explain his experiences better, and I could see the improvement over time. His feedback was very detailed and personal, not advice that I could find online. What I appreciated most was that he was honest and straightforward while still being very supportive. The college process can be stressful for both students and parents, but Mr. Park helped make everything feel much more manageable. My son also became more confident, organized, and mature during this process. I truly feel Mr. Park cares about his students and wants them to succeed long term, not only for college admissions. I would highly recommend him to any family looking for genuine and personalized college counseling support.

We searched and met with a few counselors before deciding to go with Mr. Park. It is one of the best things we did for our child and for ourselves. Mr. Park helped our child navigate through his entire high school and the college application process. Mr. Park continues to mentor him even after our son graduated high school and left for college. Mr. Park's guidance is very direct and genuine in the student's best interest. You can see he guides each of his students differently based on their capabilities and their aspirations. He is very honest with them if they are going down the wrong path and guides them back onto the right track in order to maximize their potentials. He can be critical at times, but as we reflected back, it was in the best interest of the student. He took the pressure off the parents. More times than not, parents worry more than we should and it can have an opposite effect despite us thinking its our good intentions. I strongly recommend him as a coach and guidance counselor for any students who really want to strive to get into the best universities in the country. He help guided our child into the top 10 colleges in the country. At the end when reflecting back....Mr. Park's impact was beyond just a high school planning and college application process, but he instilled some life perspectives that are very important for long term success. We have a second child that is a bit younger, but we do plan to have Mr. Park guide the younger one too!
