We completed an ADU rebuild with Quantum and it has easily costed us more than what we got out of it. It boils down to a lack of craftsmanship and ownership. The team doesn't have the skills or leadership necessary to carry out a full ADU build (or similar sized projects). We've dealt with several leaks, mold, and now sewage. Despite sending several messages to have this fixed, we're getting no responses. Not to mention, none of the permits were really done properly after project completion which was a huge amount of work to do myself. Please save yourselves the money and heartache and look elsewhere for your construction needs. read more

I contracted Quantum Construction to start an ADU Build project, which involved tearing down my rental property garage and also adding additional square footage. Because of the additional square footage add, it was more complex than a traditional Garage-ADU conversion. Willie was my main contact and was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. He was patient with me whenever I had a multitude of questions and knowledgable about all aspects of the construction process. Whenever there was an issue in our plans, Willie offered feedback and options to make sure I could make an informed decision. Though the process was long, Quantum Construction and Willie did a great job throughout the entire time and I'm very satisfied with the end, quality product of my ADU Build. Quantum Roofing took down our roof on a Tuesday. Everything sounded good until the surprise rainstorm came through. I called them and told them it's raining and we have nothing covering the roof! He came out the following day and we had water damage in outlets, drywall, insulation, blinds, and walls. At first Willie (the owner) sounded like everything would be good as new once they fixed it. After talking to some of his workers I found out they told him to cover the roof and he chose not to, very disappointing to find out. Then the roofing continued. We ended up getting about 16 punctures into the interior drywall while they were nailing down the new material. 6 of those are still visible after "patchwork". The paintwork is shoddy as well. The paint doesn't match in my sons room or the living room where most of the damage was. There is loose drywall above the cabinets where there was water damage and I confined it wasn't replaced. Lastly I have 6 new cracks in the kitchen drywall where there were no issues before. I would not recommend. read more

I needed two very large windows replaced and I'm very happy with the work! There was some wood rotting below the old frames and it was caught by the crew so we decided to reinforce everything and it only took one day... Called a couple different places for a free estimate on remodeling part of my home. This guys came out said they could do the job and for a price that I couldn't say no to. Yes the estimate was a little high but I'm not one to pay for cheap things I like the fine things. The good things. With that being said. My house gotta look perfect!! So I hired there team. I would like to start this review letting everyone know that Willie and Jesus were not hired to re model my home simply because I could not afford them. I have a large re model job that moves the kitchen to the back corner of the house, knocks out a few walls in the living room, adds a small wet bar, adds a master bed/bath/walk in closet, extends a bedroom in the front of the house, re models an existing bathroom and adds a new front portico, with lots of roofing to be done. These two guys came to my home and met with my wife and I and seemed really down to earth, and seemed very professional. Due to reading reviews on them not meeting appointment times, I have to note they were a few minutes early for the appointment. What I gathered from these guys is they are building a new partnership, they are willing to work any job at the right price, and they want to get the job done correctly and the customer to be fully satisfied with the job after completion. I interviewed 4 contractors to include them, they were the third highest bid over 65k higher then the second, the highest was 65k over theirs. The first and second place bids were 4k off each other's prices. I think they would of done a fine job, but just way over budget for my family and I. I thought I should leave a review for these guys because they took the time to come out and speak with my wife and I, and they seem like good people, maybe they just got this once off a little. read more

Willie and his team were all very professional and I'm happy with their work. One of the things I was concerned about at the start was that there would be breaks inbetween. I heard several horror stories how a contractor was hired and in the middle, there would be a week break when no one would show, then another break and another... that wasn't the case here. Willie explained to me, he never takes on more than 4 jobs at a time to ensure he would always have the manpower to complete each job quickly. My kitchen took 5-7 weeks including demo, plumbing, electrical, finishing details, etc. I can't count how many times there would be an installer or a painter and I would ask things like, since you're painting, can you paint this other wall too or since you since you're putting up drywall, can you please fix this other wall where there was a hole or two from the provious home owner. Another example is sometimes, he would leave his dumpster trailer on our street and I would ask if I could throw some other things away from the move. He just helped me out in so many other ways that he didn't charge me for... he was friendly and easy to get ahold of even in the night hours... I called Quantum up to bid on a large project that involved converting an existing storage unit 300 square feet to and Accessory Dwelling Unit in Long Beach. Willie not only responded right away but met me out at the property and submitted a bid within a couple of days. He started right away and got my project done in the timeline we initially agreed to and on time. He dealt with the city inspector start to finish and worked very well independently. I was happy with the project there and also had him remodel both of my bathrooms at my house. Love my new bathroom! Willie and his team were very professional. He arrived promptly and gave me a reasonable quote with itemized tasks the next day. Once I decided to pick them to do my reno they started the same week. His crew were respectful of our time and space - helpful to know their work schedule vs most workers I've dealt with in the past that show up whenever. Willie or his assistant would show up the end of the work day to check on the work done by his crew and do quality control. If I have concerns or would make changes they will address it. I also liked that he would not interfere with my 'design vision.' Some contractors will criticize or complain about your design choices but not this team- they will make it happen! One was outrageously expensive for no reason, two never got back to me, but Willie got back to me with a reasonable itemized quote and was able to start that week. He stayed in my budget and did everything we agreed. I've had trouble with contractors before, taking way longer than expected to finish a job, leaving trash on site, cheap-looking work, ect. My Wife and I were very lucky to find Quantum after the 30 days of hassle with insurance and water remediation process. Willie came out asap and quoted us a fair price. The work was done in 2 days. They actually showed up early and stayed late! They are a dedicated team and have GREAT customer service which is important. These guys pay attention to detail and are very skilled.
