We moved to garden grove and used the neighbor's pool pretty often so we feel bad and want to offer them a pool cleaning service biweekly during the summer. Some friends from OC referred Quan Pool so I gave them a call. The owner John was very polite and answered all my questions. We made an appoinment for a first cleaning session. His crew showed up on time, did an amazing job and cleaned up after themselves. The pool looked really great after the first clean up. The price was very competitive! John is very great at communicating and we can text him to make an appoinment . Highly recommended! read more

I called Quan's Pool Service and talked to a guy who answered the phone. Not sure who he said he was. I asked him about what's included in the regular pool service and he told me it - - included: cleaning, balancing the water. It did not include: - Algae treament, conditioner which according to him pools only need this every 2 years. It also did not include sulfur cleaning which his service did twice a year at at $70 each. I'm giving Quan's Pool 2 stars not on his pool service but solely on that I didn't find that person who answered the phone to be helpful or accomodating when I asked if he could meet with me to see my pool and my pool equipment. He said he was very busy right now and he'd have to get back to me. Originally I called Quan's Pool because I went by all the positive reviews I read here on Yelp. This proves that one can't just trust the reviews. One has to actually talk to and meet person doing any service. read more

Business integrity is alive and well. I called John to get a quote on an algae removal for an in ground spa we inherited with our new home purchase. He asked me the size and concluded it would be better and more cost efficient if we did it ourselves and even pointed us in the direction of a store we could go to get our water tested at no cost and eventually maintain the spa ourselves. Wanting to give him business, I asked if there was any maintenance I could use him for. He told me it was nothing I couldn't handle. Pump has really weak suction, and pool starting to have algea. Texted John asking for help. He replied and came over to take a look. It turned out couple valves were on the wrong locations. Frustrated and looking at a Memorial Day with a dirty pool, I broke down and decided to call for professional help. Quan answered his own phone and after I described the problem, he told me what to do. I know my way around a pipe wrench and he was able to 'talk pool' with me. Called Friday at 4:30PM...we finally got our keys after our 7 month short sale! Surprise surprise the listing agent who had the pool cleaned for the appraisal to get the house sold just let it go which resulted in a green mosquito sespool!!!! Quan's to the rescue! John determined the pump had burned up and the filter needed some work...he totally worked with us offering new, refurbished or DIY under his direction! I appreciate options! beware of the guy who wants to just replace everything instead of repair!! The filter had seen better days but he agreed to do his best and got the job done! With all the glowing reviews on yelp, I decided to give Quans Pool Services a try. The person that came to my property was John. I told him that my expectation is to have the pool always clean and with his high yelp review it shouldn't be a problem. He then said "It was impossible and he cannot promise me that the pool will stay clean 24/7." I was shock but then he explained himself that he was not a pool god and that he can't predict the future (the wind, the rain, the heat, etc...) All he can do is to do his best. He promise that if there is a problem he will do his best to fix it. I very much like his upfront attitude of being honest and not trying the sweet talk technique. I have been using his services for 6 months already. So far I am very happy with the services. When there is a problem, John took care of it pretty fast. read more

This was the second time we used John for our pump leaking on the bottom. I gave him a call on SAT and he was nice enough to come on Sunday getting that fixed for us immediately. When we moved in we took a sample of our water to Leslie's pool supply to get tested. Came back horrible and got us not wanting to use the current pool company. We found Quan's pool service through yelp and had a few other companies come out. I felt most comfortable with John and his recommendations of draining the pool and starting over. We also had the pump changed out with him 6 months later. Been getting weekly service with Quan's pool for three years now! They show up every week on Tuesday to service our pool rain or shine. I think this is a worst time to be stranded without a pool technician. Everybody That I call to come out all bail out on me. Their reason was simply "they were just too busy during this time of year". At first I was somewhat irritated with John with Quan's pool services. I called him out for an estimation because my pool was going green after it has been neglected with by my previous pool guy. He told me that he would show up at 12 in the afternoon but ended up showing up at 6 pm in the evening. So I was tick off about it already. But regardless I have to admit that he keep his promise to the end. He spent 2 hours cleaning the pool and was working till 8:30 . After a couple of days of revisiting the pool, my pool is now back to the blue that it should be. I would give a 5 stars but deducted 1 because he was late for the estimation. read more

Flaky, unreliable, and really didn't know what he was talking about. About 3 weeks ago I got fed up and fired him and started my search. Started off good but has slipped. At first communication was great. Agreed to weekly cleaning and every 6 months cleaning the filter. Had a dog and agreed it was fine for dog to be outside while they are there since I work and the dog can't stay locked up all day. Discussed trying to get a day after the gardeners come on wednesdays and was told he would try and arrange. Well none of it was true. Dog can't be outside. Never heard back about trying to switch days. And filter cleaning got changed to every 4 months without notice that that was how it was going to be going forward. Our jacuzzi turned green after one use to which I asked the guy that cleans it about it and he said to filter more. We used it many times before and never had an issue with it turning green. I called him a to follow up about why the filter cleaning was changed and I haven't heard back despite being told he would call me back after talking to his guy. I'm not happy. Wish I had known about another service I ended up calling for a quote. Don't recommend. read more

The good, the bad and the ugly.. The good: John is a nice guy and he probalby can do a good job at some things. The bad: John had a truck down but he didn't tell me that he stopped servicing my pool until I saw the pool turning green. The ugly: After I had to replace John (after he stopped showing up), it turned out that the filter set-up wasn't good, the gilter did not have a basktet, and he ran my filter at 30 lbs..which is too much pressure. Because of that, I have a part that I need to replace now. Not to mention that I spent a lot of money to put chemicals in and brush it myself so it doesn't stay green. read more
