I've been taking my vehicles there for several years and have had generally good service. I took my…read morecamper van for an oil change and had a less the satisfactory experience. 1. I have acrylic windows and always ask specifically to not clean them due to not knowing what cleaning product and cloth used by them. Had I not been in the vehicle during service I would have not been able to stop them from starting to clean them after I requested this to not be done. 2. This is not only at Grease Monkey that I have had this issue..I told the fellow checking tire pressure that I had come from a shop that had just rotated the tires and set the pressure. The guy said pressure was a few pounds higher than specifically. They did not seem to know the difference between cold tire vs hot tire pressure readings. When I checked cold pressure the next morning all tires were 10% or greater lower than specifically. 3. Most importantly I was returning home and my check engine light came on. I immediately returned to Grease Monkey for diagnosis. It was a high oil pressure code..meaning the oil was overfilled. They did respond to my concerns and pumped out oil to get the issue resolved, but it was very stressful for me to deal with. All of these issues combined make me question returning as a customer.

Watching out for the scam from them. I used to go there for an oil change; it's close to my house…read more But every time you come, they tell you something is wrong with your car. I don't know anything about it; I trust them and let them do the most they could in the past, until yesterday. I had a flat tire, and it was not on the side. They told me that I need to get a new tire. The price was higher than in other shops. I negotiated the price down and replaced it. When I was ready to pay, they told me I stripped the wheel stud when I changed the flat tire for a spare. They asked me to replace the wheel stub. The parts are $40, but the service will be $285. I was shocked and told them no. I booked the service at the Cover Jeep Bee Cave, and they put the stub back on with a $0 charge. I am disappointed in what Firestone did to me, and I hope anyone out there will learn from my experience.

I took my car to Firestone for a routine oil change, and when I left, white smoke was blowing out…read moreof my exhaust. I immediately called them, and they told me it was probably because they overfilled it and that the engine was just "burning off excess oil." The smoke never stopped. Soon after, my engine pressure light came on, followed by the check engine light and a loud noise coming from my engine. When my husband checked the oil at home, there was almost no oil in the car at all. We took it back to Firestone, and during that time they never once called me with an update. I had to chase them down, only to be told that there were "no lights on" in my car and that there was, in fact, oil in it. Then, they quoted me over $6,000 to fix a timing chain issue--which their own mistake caused by running my car with no oil. I am now in the middle of a claim with them and hiring an attorney to take further action. Throughout this process, Manuel and Clay (in the shop) and Jillian (in the claims department) have been rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. This experience has been beyond frustrating, and I would never recommend this location to anyone

I went to the shop get quotes for spark plug replacement and injector service. I also had a question about a previous charge for work done several months before. I was in the waiting area alone. A person who I'd never met in 4 years plus came in. When I asked about the charge he had no curiosity about the work performed. He immediately told me their rate was $160 per hour and if I didn't like it to go elsewhere. I was shocked. The previous work done was to replace a hose to the windshield washer bin. After the work was done I talked with the mechanic as I know most of them as I was curious about the issue. He explained a broken tube or hose and replaced it. I asked him how long it took to find the issue and replace. He laughed and said no big deal and took 15-20 minutes. I didn't even bother look as the invoice since I had been going there 4+ years. I was charged well over $100 for labor. The "manager" stated he been there since the place opened and told me to leave as he did not want to do business with me. I never raised my voice, used profanity or engaged in any argument. He feigned calling LE to have me removed. I just left. Never said another word. Then in a post by the purported owner claimed that it was about the safety of their employees and customers. This is blatant lie. I've been an elite reviewer for 7 years. It's always my interest to support local businesses and you can even read my previous comments on this business. So here's what's going to happen. I am a disabled veteran and member and past officer of multiple veteran organizations including the VFW,PGR, VVAW and CVMA. Since I'm a customer, you have my number. Balls in your court.

The next day I came back for the fuel filters and after an hour of waiting with my truck in the bay, I asked if there was a problem. They said no. Finally, they came 15 minutes later and admitted they didn't have the correct socket and had to send someone to the auto parts store to get it. Bad communication! I would have preferred they were honest with me as I had other appointments I was missing. When they finally got back with the correct tools, it still took a long time to complete the job. Overall I was there almost two hours for fuel filters and most of the time I was the only customer in the shop. They didn't try to make it right... they just said "sorry" and sent me on my way. I have multiple trucks I send here and I'm discontinuing my business.
