I recently had water in my basement so I contacted 3 vendors and Quality Waterproofing was one of the vendors. Bill R. came to my house 2 days later. Two days later on May 16 I received his bid via email. I replied to his email with 5-6 questions on May 17. I text Bill R. letting him know I replied to his email. He replied that he will need to talk to his manager and he'll get back with me. Today is May 30 and I still haven't received a response. Needless to say they aren't earning my business nor will they ever have the opportunity to earn my business. The other 2 vendors responded quickly to all my questions. I contacted them via email to survey the foundation wall in the basement of the home I am buying in Berkley 63134. There's water infiltrating into the basement and it's coming in from either the foundation and/or the window wells. I drove 4 hours from Chgo Friday night to view the home on Saturday morning. I shared the photos with them via email and told them that my home and sewer inspection is Tuesday 12-5. Their caddie Customer Service agent said we don't do anything unless it's directly with the owner of the home. I'm a real estate investor and need their estimate to submit to the seller so they can pay for the work that Quality would be performing. I never asked for a free estimate, but they still refused and said "this has been our company policy for 60 years." Well here's a clue, when a company has no interest in assisting a or building a relationship with a customer, and cares a less about what my needs are, 'my policy' is why would I even consider them in the future? He sent us a screen shot we couldn't read. My husband contacted them & they refused to give us the estimate. We had a salesman Dan Klemme, come out to bid a job to fill underneath the front porch. He gave a bid which was close to another bid. Unfortunately, we went with him. He underbid by a few thousand $ according to the "yards". He said we only needed about 3 yards and in fact we needed closer to 6. He then stated he had to "guess" because he couldnt see how far the porch was to the ground. There was a massive hole that let groundhogs, skunks, rabbits easily go under the porch to live. I'd like to take a moment and thank Quality Waterproofing for the foundation work on our home this year. In early 2018 we experienced water on the basement floor. The walls were covered with drywall and when I pulled off the drywall to see where the water might be coming from. It expose multiple, half inch thick, horizontal and vertical cracks. This obviously concerned my wife and I so we immediately started calling foundation companies to analyze and bid the work. We selected Quality Waterproofing because they appropriately addressed the structural issues as well as the water issues related to our situation. Andrew was extremely helpful through the entire process. His approach working with us was comfortable. I never felt pushed or like he was trying to sell something beyond my level of understanding. The focus on customer service extended past Andrews and extended to the crew working on this project. My wife and I were amazed with the friendliness and collaboration of their team. They were not only extremely respectful and went out of their way for things, but they worked together as a team even when we weren't right beside them. You can tell they enjoy what they do and enjoy being with each other. Ethan was the main project manager. He kept us informed every day with what they were doing and even with phone calls when needed. If there was an unexpected situation on the project he held his cool and worked with the company to quickly resolve the situation. Overall we were extremely satisfied with this experience. I've never had foundation work done like this and I was nervous. The quality of work and value we received from this exceeded our expectations. It is a shame when you try to get a valid bid and the representative states he will get it right to you. Approximately 20 days later we get bid. Then once you do get the bid it does not have a picture of your home but another property, so not sure the bid is even valid. We had a 15% coupon which does not appear to be taken into affect when it was given at the time appointment was made and also to the representative. The person that gave us the incorrect bid on Nov 18th stated he would get us a corrected bid the next day. Today is Dec 5th and we still have not received a corrected bid. Sure makes you wonder how attentive their work will be. Very disappointed with the customer service. read more
