On the day of the installation, Alberto & Kevin arrived on time and (to my surprise) completed the job that day. Alberto even made helpful suggestions for the placement of the bed and took the time to answer all of my questions. The quality of their workmanship was exceptional, with great attention to detail and a focus on ensuring that the bed was both secure and functional. On top of that they were so nice and extremely helpful. They even moved heavy furniture from one level of our house to another and cleaned everything up once they were finished. I even got a follow up call from Marcelo just to see how everything went. They were the best! After contacting him on Yelp, I gave him my phone number for a phone consultation. He called the…read morefirst time at 10pm on a Thursday night without any heads up. I wasn't sure who it was because it was so late and the caller ID said "Pro TV Mounting Same Day..." I figured it was him because then he sent me a message on Yelp that night saying "I tried calling and no one answered". I messaged him to schedule a call at a time that was more reasonable. No answer. Then the same number called during a Sunday afternoon. I asked again to please just schedule the call. When I called at the scheduled time, he sounded almost half asleep on the phone (sorry I woke you up!) and I tried explaining clearly what was wrong with the issue and he said repeatedly, "why don't you just call the people who originally installed it". I mentioned I was unhappy with their work and wanted someone else. He clearly was unfamiliar with what was going on and didn't know basic terminology for installation of doors. Never asked for a guarantee, but I just wanted someone who had a more experienced and expert installation history. He then got upset when I indicated I wouldn't be using his services because he sounded like he didn't know what was going on for the project and I preferred not to pay $80 since all other handymen come to do an assessment for free so they can accurately set expectations for themselves and the customer and there isn't disappointment on either side. He literally started raising his voice on the phone because I was trying to ask his professional opinion and gather more info on what he thought was going on. Maybe he was having an off day because he seemed to get frustrated with what I thought were common questions. It seemed like he just wanted to get me off the phone and do the $80 in-person assessment. So the "phone consultation" part doesn't seem like a real thing. Again, I told him "no problem that's your policy and I appreciate your time" but I will go in a different direction Unprofessional and also seemed to have limited skills for certain simple jobs and really is focused on TV mounting or other things (I mean the phone number ID says Pro TV install"). Again, that's totally ok, but don't get upset when a customer would prefer a different option. And be careful! He then tried repeatedly harass and called me several times after now from a hidden number! He had to be reported to Yelp! It seems like this guy generally has good reviews, but this seemed very unusual and concerning. Just take a look at all the other 1-star reviews. They all talk about the SAME exact issues: calling at inappropriate times, rude/unprofessional, harassing calls, incorrect skills listed, (even being asleep, ha!), etc. There is a clear negative pattern here, but other people seemed to find benefit so up to you based your exact situation.

What I appreciate most is how much pride he takes in his work. He pays attention to the little details and makes sure everything is done right. He is also incredibly clean. He keeps the work area organized while he is working and always cleans up completely before he leaves. Vladimir is also very reliable, which can be hard to find these days. If he says he will be there at a certain time, he shows up. If there is ever a question or update, he communicates clearly and keeps you informed. [Quote and scheduling]: Assembly Masters do not list pricing information on their website. Customers must request a quote via the "GET A FREE QUOTE HERE" button on the website or by calling their contact number. I submitted my request online and received an initial quote of $119.00 (flat rate with no tax) for one cabinet. However, I clarified that my initial job request was assembling two IKEA BRIMNES cabinets and the representative apologized for the typo. Unlike few other assembly companies, Assembly Masters require (1) customers to provide their full address and phone number for order confirmation and (2) provide credit card information to secure the appointment. I later called their number where I spoke with Todd who was very friendly. He finalized my appointment and processed my credit payment payment over the phone. [Service terms and conditions]: Here are some key service terms and conditions to be aware of - * FREE street / validated or paid parking by customer; parking to be provided for Assembler * All boxes to be located in the desired area for assembly prior to arrival * Attaching Items to the wall is an optional service - added charge may apply * Moving items to another room after Assembly is not included * Empty boxes and debris are stacked neatly for disposal by customer * Assemblers do not haul trash/ boxes away after service is complete * Assemblers are NOT required to move existing furniture/ Items * Pictures/ Video of assembly are taken by Assembler for verification [Process]: The technician Alvaro arrived within 24 hours of my booking and within the 3-hour scheduled time window. He was friendly and well-prepared with his tools. Alvaro was able to complete the assembly of both IKEA BRIMNES cabinets in just over an hour. [Conclusion]: Assembly Masters provided a reasonable quote and completed the job efficiently. However, few areas could use improvement including (1) allowing customers to pay in cash or by credit card in person before the job begins rather than requiring payment over the phone, (2) listing clear service prices (or price range) on the website instead of requiring customers to request a quote, and (3) offering to haul away empty boxes instead of leaving them to the customer. Personally these are relatively minor issues, but another furniture assembly company I recently worked with managed to accomplish all three of these areas in addition to completing the assembly job. If these points are not dealbreakers, Assembly Masters is still a solid choice for anyone looking to save time assembling IKEA furniture.

Left multiple messages via text, voicemail and even on yelp where we had previously communicated with no issues...no answer to any message. I understand that schedules change and would have been more than happy to reschedule if there was any communication. It is now 24hr after the scheduled service and still no communication from anyone. Chose them because of previous good reviews but now question the legitimacy of their previous reviews and would not recommend them. If you are looking for furniture builders there are several more reputable businesses on yelp with many more reviews that I would trust.

Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. He was able to tell me about the table i found on facebook marketplace and give me honest advise on weather it was good quality etc. He was easy to communicate with and handled the pick up and coordination with the seller. Every single place I called had an increase in cost, even they offered any kind of Yelp promo or if you paid with cash. Some places were charging about $100+ per hour, service fees, not including shrink wrap, pretty much would be charged for everything and could possibly spend up to $400+ for a less than 7 mile move with 2 bedrooms, minimal furniture, and mostly pre-pack and do majority of the move would be done by my roomie and I. With all that being said, I never gave up and kept calling different companies. I'm so glad I was patient and stumbled across Movers LA. Their pricing is super fair ($85 per hour if you pay cash)! I can't applaud James and his crew enough. I was given a time frame between 2-5pm. James called me around 3:30pm to confirm that he'll arrive around 4pm and he got here 4pm sharp! They were super efficient, got the job done in less than 4.5 hours and our new place is all stairs. They are the best, I highly recommend them!!
