When my baby hit the 4-month regression, everything I had been doing stopped working. I couldn't…read morenurse or rock my baby to sleep anymore. Instead, I was taking 20 minutes to try to get him to stop crying and transfer him without waking him up (often having to restart the whole process). He was still waking every 4 hours most nights even though I knew he could do more. Kris was so helpful in giving me the guidance and confidence I needed to put a plan in place and stick to it! There are so many voices online, but it was really important to have one experienced and trusted voice in my ear so I wasn't going back and forth between different strategies (sabotaging all of them). I was introduced to Kris while living in Colorado, but had moved to Michigan by the time I needed help with my LO. Even from that distance I felt very supported. My baby immediately started sleeping 10 hours and only taking 2 minutes to soothe himself and get to sleep (most of the time). I opened one up...and quickly started to cry. I was so tired! I couldn't read a book at that moment. I was exhausted. I was barely able to function let a lone spare lots of hours reading, digesting, and experimenting to see what worked with my son. I literally googled "sleep training Denver" and found Angie - my life savor! I filled out an extensive questionnaire and she came to my house. (There are different packages you can buy and I most definitely think you should have her come to your house because she can quickly assess your babies needs and show you techniques that work then and there.) After deciding to start a nanny share with another family, we initially thought that we could save ourselves some money and hire a nanny ourselves by advertising for the position on websites like Care.com and Facebook. However, this proved extremely time-consuming, yielded few qualified applicants, and resulted in someone we tried to hire backing out last minute, leaving us with just two weeks before our current childcare ended... with no nanny, no additional qualified applicants, and no time or energy left for the search (since it was a busy time for me at work). At that point, we contracted with Kiddie Up to help us find a nanny for our nanny share. Just one day after signing the contract, Maggie set up a conference call with me and the other mom and posted the position posted right away. Within four days of signing the contract, Maggie sent us four qualified applicants and we started interviews right away. During and after our nanny search, Maggie was extremely communicative via email, always answering my questions within 24 hours but usually much faster. The nannies who applied to our position through Kiddie Up were of a MUCH higher caliber than any we found on our own. All of them had already passed a background check, completed an interview with Maggie, and had their references checked before we received their applications. On October 17th, 2025, the provider walked my daughter out and let me know that my daughter had shared something concerning about another child during the day. I asked my daughter about it in front of the provider, and during that brief exchange, the provider commented that what my daughter had said was not true. There was no follow-up plan discussed at that time. Throughout our time there, we attempted to schedule conversations to better collaborate, understand expectations, and stay aligned. In my experience, these requests were often not responded to or didn't lead to meaningful discussion. The provider may reference "behavioral concerns," but from my perspective, if that had been the case, a more in-depth conversation between the provider and parents would have been appropriate. We were never offered a dedicated 1:1 meeting outside of quick drop-off and pick-up moments. As a family, we value involvement and are very open to feedback. To my knowledge, the situation mentioned above wasn't reported to the appropriate agencies until after I reached out myself, and we later learned the other child's parent wasn't notified right away. Within about 14 hours of the initial conversation, we were told our family could no longer attend the program. Regarding the mention of "hiring a lawyer to stop bullying," my personal impression is that the provider preferred to move on from the situation with me in silence. I'm sharing our experience so other parents can feel informed, ask questions, and confidently advocate for their children. This is not an attack on the provider but is my families experience.
