After waiting 15 months for a no-show contractor to come do my patio, I called Quality Masonry Care to see if they could do the job instead. Thomas answered my inquiry within half an hour and scheduled the site visit immediately. I wanted a specific type of stone (permeable) and he went out of his way to find something I would be happy with. Within one month of signing the contract, the job was done, and looks amazing. (To that end, Thomas had set out a reasonable time frame for when they would come do the job. Originally he scheduled the job about three months out, but they did manage to come early, which was a nice bonus.) Thomas was professional, friendly, honest, and incredibly helpful. Where I was unsure of what to do in terms of design or materials, he offered suggestions and gave well-reasoned and we'll thought-out opinions. He has great experience in the industry and I found him totally trust-worthy. He also answered texts and emails very quickly, and I was very happy with our communication. After ripping out our in ground pool we were looking to update our entire patio as well as our front walkway. I searched a couple of masonry companies and really liked Thomas from Quality Masonry Care. We gave him a rough idea on what we wanted and he did the rest. The patio came out beautiful! Thomas managed the job and doubled checked the plans. After the job was done one of the piers looked shorter than the others due to the slope of the property. Thomas sent the team back to add another layer with no hassles - they even replaced some of the pavers that had chips in it. Overall very happy . They excavated the dirt to solve the slope problem, then installed a beautifully designed, patterned brick patio that even matched our original backyard walls. Steven and his brother Patrick did a great job for us completely grinding out the old mortar and repointing all the brick work on the dual chimneys at our house in Charlottesvill. They came out quickly to give us a quote and then completed the work on the timeline they had provided us. We had a previously had another mason attempt some repairs on the chimneys. Quality Masonry Care's work was much more thorough and higher quality and was almost unnoticeable when completed, which was important for us given the historic character of the house. Part of our large retaining brick wall collapsed unexpectedly . The owner Stephen looked at the damage quickly after we called. He was very knowledgeable about masonry brick work and what we needed. We had a new wall within 10 days which was great - the lead Mason and his helpers did a great job of building the new wall with the proper reinforcements.
