To give you an idea of the situation: imagine budgeting $16k for a project. You meet with them, they walk the site, review the plans, and enthusiastically agree to the price to "earn your business." However, two weeks after signing the contract and handing over a deposit, they suddenly claimed the project would now cost $29K. My key Issues: Bait-and-Switch Pricing: The final quote was more than double the original agreed-upon price with vague and VERY inconsistent reasoning. Vanishing Deposit: When I chose to cancel due to the massive price hike, they claimed my entire deposit had already been "used up" on excavation. Lack of Integrity: They committed to a budget just to get the signature, only to move the goalposts immediately after. We are currently pursuing legal action to address these practices. This company is simply not worth the stress or the financial risk. I met many reputable masonry and concrete companies during my bidding phase--I strongly suggest you look elsewhere, you've been warned.

RomanMasonry representative came did the inpection and reported that these cracks were resulting from loose cinder blocks. I was surprised by the such big differance in price.s the worked progressed; I was informed the cause for the loose blocks was caused by the roots from the trees near; there on charge for taking care of that. He showed up to my house in Hidden Valley back in February and we negotiated a price to pave my driveway. I also gave him the job to pave my elderly parent's driveway. His contract said he warranted it for 7 years and would be back in April to seal coat it for free. Within days both driveways began to crumble and within weeks grass and weeds started growing through the pavement. I called and called him! He only answered once saying he would come by and take care of it. He never showed up so the now every time I call, there is a recording that says the number has calling restrictions. I've filed complaints with BBB, DPOR and my attorney has paperwork to get the suit started. It seems he is MIA however! Anyway, has anyone else dealt with this guy? He's about late 20's, short with brown hair and has got a heavy Irish accent. He got me for $9000 that day! I hope Karma catches up to this loser!!!!!!

He fit us in an already packed schedule and came to take care of the driveway and roof and also clean off the generator, heat pump, etc. while we were away and sent pics - he was highly conscientious, a great communicator, and did a great job. He did such a good job that two weeks later when we were heading back, the driveway was totally clear even after another few inches fell the day before. I only knew that because he went to check himself to make sure we could get in our driveway...which we easily could! He began work May 4 and every time he came he left a bigger mess. There is concrete splatter on the brick, the painted garage, the trap door and back porch and door. It's a dark ugly gray that I have not been able to scrub off. The patio is left with trowel marks and is "painted" a dingy battleship primer type cover. You can see the concrete through it. The garage area looks worse than before. I paid a lot of money and am much worse off now. I am elderly and trusting, so when he said he was finished in early May I believed him. Big mistake. I now have to hire someone to paint over this mess (except the brick, I'm stuck with the splatter on it). I regret ever meeting this unethical, inept, incompetent, man.
