My parents had a very old antique door and a locking mechanism had broken. I was able to get them to look at the door next day. They created a solution and installed a new lock for the door. All happened within 24 hours and they did a wonderful and very professional job , I would highly recommend. read more

A great company that was so incredibly helpful replacing our club key, they went above and beyond to help us.

They damaged my hardwood floors, didn't offer to reimburse us for the repairs. The tech said he didn't hv the right materials to finish the job properly. We were provided no paperwork, guarantee info or instructions for the keyless entry features. A couple of weeks later the keyless entry stopped working, the key override didn't work at all for over an hour and we were stuck outside in a rain storm. They advertise 24/7 service -they do not. We called them at least 3 times when we were locked out of our house....no answering machine, no answering service, worst of all never returned our call or offer help. read more

I came here to buy a specific lock. They said they had it in stock. I went there and they recommended another lock that I didn't research. I ended up buying it because it was good enough for what I needed. The lock itself is good but they charged me over two times the price you could buy it for online. The price I was charged made more sense for the original lock I wanted, which I doubt they even had in stock to begin with. I always try to support local businesses but I can't help but feel scammed. read more

These people were pros and know what they sell and know what you need. Store is huge and well-stocked, has its own parking lot downtown.

Lock Issues? "Go See Eddie"! Had a problem with one of 4 locks on our rental condo entrance with the one lock not functioning properly with the single entrance key. As usual I hurried over to Quality Key - just off Vista's lovely main street - for help. Eddie, one of Quality's excellent team, determined the key wasn't the issue, but the lock was not properly tightened. Had Eddie rekey a new lock to fit the door and "Voila' ", problem solved! The Quality team always takes that extra step when lock issues arise. Always a pleasure working with the Quality Lock Team, where Courteous Service is Key! Bill - Oceanside, CA read more

Need to give a shout out for Quality Lock & Security in Vista, We've never had a key to lock the canopy o our 1950 Navion airplane. They hand filed a key for us from the #'s on the lock. They worked with us to understand what we needed and went above and beyond our expectations. We now have multiple keys for our plane at an extremely reasonable price for the work performed. Highly recommend! read more

Just had an odd size key made. I was told just go home and try it out, come back and pay me if it works! Really nice to find people who still trust people! I will be back tomorrow to pay! Thanks for great and quick service!! read more

Had an older key that we wanted a few copies as backups. Although it took a few trips all keys are now working great. If we were to get it from the manufacturer company it would have been a small fortune. Thankfully this shop carried the blanks. The only reason it took multiple trips is the key was dual sided but it had to be cut in a certain way in order for it to work correctly (for some double sided keys it doesn't matter). Staff were friendly and listened to my observations when testing out the cut keys.. read more

We had this company out to re-key three doors with six locks the gentleman said it would take him an hour and a half to do the work. He was here 20 minutes and completed the job and told me he was done sooner because they were very easy locks to re-key. He charged us $223 for a 20 minute job and all I have to say is find someone else that is more reasonable unless you like giving away money. read more

Makes sense there aren't any reviews for this company yet. They were recommended to us by BayAlarm, so we trusted them but our experience wasn't exactly ideal. They were slow to respond with everything, messed up on installations several times and had to come back to our offices on multiple occasions. They were also responsible for locking out our entire office. Imagine coming in to work in the morning only to be unable to enter your office for several hours? Several people missed out on conference calls because of it. They also wouldn't take responsibility for anything or offer any discounts for the inconvenience. Instead, they chose to point fingers at not only us but at BayAlarm and blamed them for their mistakes. It's pretty revealing for a company to not only be unable to admit their faults but to point fingers and this was from the owner of the company himself. Our work with BayAlarm wasn't the greatest either but BayAlarm were apologetic and took full responsibility, which is why we would still recommend them despite everything. But I absolutely cannot recommend this company. Even when it came time to bill us, they took an entire 2 weeks. The entire process with them was frustrating and unpleasant, to say the least. Please look elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend Quality Lock & Safe to anyone who is looking to resolve any lock or key trouble situation and emergency. I broke up with a live in boyfriend that moved out and didn't returned my house keys, even after I requested he do so. Every time I left the house, I feared he would come by, let himself in and violate my space. I was afraid and felt vulnerable that he could come at any time without me knowing. I told my good friend about my situation, and she recommended Quality Lock & Safe to help change the locks of my home. They came on a Saturday, when they are closed, and within an hour they had changed out the locks of my house and mailbox and given me new keys with spares. AMAZING! What was even more surprising, was that it was the owner himself who had come to change the locks. WOW! Thank you so much for the high quality professional work you did and giving me back my sense of security. Kindly, -patty read more

Unfortunately, the unprofessional behavior of the staff prevents me from providing a positive review. I called to request that a technician visit my company to ascertain what might be the problem with one of the locks. They promised that someone would be out in the afternoon: no none came, nor did anyone call to explain or reschedule. A second call to the company the next day produced the same results: they promised someone would come later that afternoon, but no one appeared nor did anyone call to explain or reschedule. read more

Our company has used Quality Lock and Safe for years. They have changed out locks and re-keyed all locks, repaired locks, and made unusual keys for us (like the key for our coke machine). They have technicians that come out and do the work - we have always found them to be trustworthy and professional. Yesterday I went in for a specialty key to be duplicated and it couldn't be done right away, but the technician at their store, Alexis, had me leave the key and then she personally dropped it off at our business this morning - duplicated to perfection. Above and beyond what I expected! I recommend this lock and safe shop 100%. read more
